I have a Samsung SB970 S27B970D 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor with native resolution of 2560x1440. When I connect it to my 2012 13" MacBook Pro via mini display port to DVI, I am unable to get anything better than 1080p.

As you can see, 2560 should be supported.
Also note that we have two different MBPs and two different Samsung monitors (same model, ordered at different times) that do the same thing.
Im using iMovie 11 version 9.0.4, and I have itunes 10.6.1, and I'm trying to add an itunes song into my iMovie project but it gives me a message once i click on music and sound effects tab "open itunes 6 or later to populate this list". No music from my itunes populates, and it should be automatically. Now, I do have the itunes firmware up to date.

I am unable to get FB to load. Tried eliminating cookies as advised to another user. Did not eliminate the problem. I do not get any type of error message but rather the loading stops when it gets past the www. This happens whether trying to sign in to the facebook website or opening a FB message from friends. I want to restore my iTunes library from the old computer since it took a long time to get all the playlists together. I moved over the old playlist files and of course all my music, but I cannot get the library to show. I had to move my iTunes library into that "automatically add to iTunes" folder to get it to show in iTunes, but I still can't get the playlists and stuff to come up. I did the thing where I hold down the option key while starting up and then choose the library, but nothing changes in iTunes. It also seems like the file that might really be my library isn't selectable. So is there anyway that I can get my old library into the new iTunes on my new computer?

I have been unable to load any MSN pages including my hotmail account. I am able to sign in and access the sign in page, but the inbox page freezes (loads up to about 75% on the menu bar) all the other msn websites follow suit load but not fully. I wouldn't mind but my main email account is with hotmail and my pop account via apple mail I cannot access junk and other folders etc..

The music library on my desktop itunes program has all my songs. But I just want some of those songs -- which are contained in a itunes playlist I created -- to be loaded onto my iphone. I have a brand new MBP. I have a 1tb external drive with 250gb's of music. I have it attached to my mac via USB. I CANNOT GET ITUNES TO CREATE A NEW LIBRARY ON THE EXTERNAL DRIVE. I CANNOT DRAG AND DROP OR ADD FILE/FOLDER.
But get this, I hook it up to my old Dell and I can do whatever I want. I am friggin pissed that I spent all this money on Mac equip and can't get it going. You may have seen my other post where I posed my issue of: 1tb ethernet drive hooked to airport extreme. Above mentioned 1tb hooked up to back of it via usb. I am completely unable to copy, move, or add files using my mac. But guess what. my pc handles it easily and quickly.
My screen resolution changed during game play. Now that the game is off, I cant change it back. This is what the error message says "Preferences Error - Could not load Displays preference pane."

I have experienced a problem after I updated to SL last night.I made a fresh install of both SL and iLife 09 on my mbp unibody late 2008.
Afterwards, I replaced the my fresh iphoto library simply with my old iphoto 09library from time machine (no migration tool, only copy pasts).
But now I recognized a problem that I see no iphoto library in my Desktop and Screensaver Menu in control panel. I cant set iphoto library photos as screensaver cause I cant see them
Does anyone have a solution for it? or does anybody face the same issue?
I can open Safari, iTunes, Quicktime, etc... they work fine, but any app that didn't come preinstalled on this computer crashes automatically. This started today, I've been using the computer fine for a month with zero issues. The last thing I did was update twitter and put the computer on the charger all day..
Here is my error log/error message.............
1.) I was messing around and dragged the little hard drive icon onto the desk top as I wanted it to be displayed there. Far from it being displayed on the desk top it vanished in a wee puff of smoke .
2.) I have my old itunes library saved onto an external HD. Should I trnasfer all of this onto the new macbook prior to doing my first sync of my iphone?
I have used mac all my life but still seldom know what I am doing. I just got a new macbookpro and used migration assistant to transfer everything.
Most of my files, however, did not transfer, including my iphoto library.
When responses are posted to this question, they usually read something along the lines of "copy your iphoto library to so and so and import the library or click new album." I understand all that.
What I need to know is how to get the photos from my powerbookG4 to my new computer.
I tried ordering a MacBook pro 13'' with my native keyboard to the UK from my home country, this proved to be impossible through apple so I would like to replace my keyboard to my native tongue (swedish) to correspond with the language settings I have set. Is it possible or am I better off buying keyboard stickers?
