MacBook Pro :: Can See All Pictures But Once Clicked Little Triangle With Exclamation Point Shows Up
Jun 3, 2014
If I am scrolling through iphoto, I can see all my pictures, but once I click on most of them, a little triangle with an exclamtion point shows up. I can't see them or send them. Where are my pictures.
I have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on my event. I was working on it and noticed it when I restarted FCP X. Could be that FCP X was crashing while copying or something. But now I don't get it away. But I looked into it.
The 4 photo's and 1 piece of music were quickly found in the menu left of the timeline. But there are two strange stings going on:
1. Scrubbing through the timeline, at certain points the Beach-ball begins to spin and won't stop. I waited 30 minutes (nothing), restart FCP X (nothing), rebooted (nothing), cleaned with Onyx (nothing): I had to force quit FCP X. I cannot see where it goes wrong, but it's at multiple points.
2. While using "relink files" all went wrong. It found photo's with te same name (but in fact other pictures). I deleted those. I went in the library (within Finder) to the Original Files folder, replaced the aliasses of the files pointing to a _Trash folder within the library. I thought the right pictures were back: no. I've dragged those back from iPhoto into the event, with the music also (from iTunes). There double now, but everything is good... except for the exclamation-mark!
Then I made a new library, dragged the project to the new library: copy used clips except the two options given (proxy en render files?). The new event also got a exclamation mark. I played the whole thing: no crashes, no beach-balls, no red missing clips signs, no yellow exclamation-mark in the Timeline Index.
In the original project I can now scrub little pieces (without spinning beach-balls) and I see the pictures on the timeline (in the preview) but with a yellow exclamation-mark in the index...? It cannot be found in the eventbrowser... how strange is that?
Since the update to Final Cut Pro X 10.1.3 I cannot go back to a previous library. What do I do. I'm afraid if I continue to edit things will go south later on.

I own a PowerMac G5 currently running Tiger. I tried to install Leopard the other night and when I was promted to choose the hard drive to install....I saw a red exclamation point over it.
I know I can backup my entire drive and install on a clean drive but is there any way around doing that? Can I go to utilities and try to repair somehow?
Also, I do have a second hard drive on the computer..
My Mail application and all associated mailboxes have the dreaded triangle sign with the exclamation point in it. I can't send or receive mail in any of the mailboxes although AOL works through the AOL website. It happened while I was sending an EPS file to someone. They received it but I'm dead in the water since then. Any help available? I checked all my setting snad they appear to be right on.
I have imported photos from my digital camera to my iPhoto and when I try to view them, I just see a gray box with an exclamation point? How can I fix this so my photos will show up? It has always worked correctly in the past.
I am getting a pop up error message with a yellow triangle and yellow exclamation point in Safari but it immediately disappears after it appears. This happens so fast that I cannot read the error message. A java applet for my bank's website is not running properly and knowing what the error message is might help solve the problem.

i cant seem to find the culprit. When i open a album and click a picture to enlarge it, instead of it enlarging a big black exclamation point comes up with a grey circle around it? Is there a confliction with the location of the file or something? Has this happen with anyone else? If so please share your experience.
Earlier today I copied my iPhoto library file and the iPhoto prefs file to from my Mac Pro to my MacBook (using Chronosync's "mirror" option), for a week away from home.
I've now come to using iPhoto on my MacBook, and noticed that the thumbnails for my modified pictures had reverted to thumbnails of the originals. Clicking on any of these modified images just brings up a large exclamation mark on a grey circle background.
I know that this normally means that iPhoto cannot find the relevant file in the library (usually because someone's been messing around in the library - which I haven't; I took a mirror image), but the odd thing is if I click on "Edit", the image I'm then presented with is the modified image, so it's still there and iPhoto damn well knows it.
I've tried opening iPhoto with alt-opt to get it to rebuild everything, but it hasn't made any difference.
About two years ago or maybe less i started using Mozilla Firefox, it was great then. But it got boring and i moved on to safari which, in my opinion is much easier to use. I downloaded speed download which best works with firefox so i started to use firefox again, now the problem i have with it, it NEVER shows various pictures around sites , specially google images. Is there something going wrong with only MY mozlla firefox or is this the same for everybody? [URL:...]
trying to move photos into files to place on a zip drive. All "events" have moved successfully except for 2 events that will not allow me to move them into a file. When I click on the event in iPhoto gallery, the photos appear at the bottom of my screen but a black screen with a triangle and exclaimation point appears where the enlarged photo should appear?
An alert box with a yellow triangle keeps randomly popping up on my screen. But I don't have time to read what it says because it disappears in 1 sec. What is it? What can I do to get rid of it?

Today the trackpad somehow managed to get stuck down, like it was permanently clicked and I wasn't able to really use it. I tried sliding paper through the edges to dislodge any foreign objects but that didn't help. After awhile it got better, but it's still not working right. It's not longer stuck completely down, and the trackpad is usable. However, it's not clicking all the way down like it should and it's very sensitive, sorta like it's halfway clicked. Are there any solutions to this or am I going to have to take it to an Apple store?
Is there a way to get pictures that are part of the library on my iphone on to my macbook. I find it completely unbelievable that Apple has purposely made it impossible to be able to get 4 YEARS OF PICTURES off my Iphone and back onto my computer.
My MacBook Pro 13", running on latest update, is showing a completely blue, plain blue, desktop background. It changed all by itself. When I tried to reset it by right clicking on the image I want on my desktop and selecting "Set Desktop Picture" nothing changes. When I go into my settings and try to change it that way, the image I want as my background shows as already being my background, yet my desktop is still blue. Tried rebooting already.
My daughter's MacBook lost Internet connection, there is an exclamation sign on wi-fi icon. Yesterday everything was fine. No software installed or any change on the computer. MacOsX 10.6.8. When MacBook starts the wi-fi icon is showed but then all of a sudden appears the exclamation sign.
I just recently got my disk drive repaired at apple which meant my Macbook Pro needed wiped. When I got home and connected up to my wifi I noticed the wifi symbol to be greyed out with an exclamation mark in front of it. However, I can still use my internet but it gives me an alert that I'm not connected. This has been like this for a month and it hasn't gone and I've tried un plugging the wifi modem, forgetting the network and rejoining etc and yet its still like this. i wouldn't have a problem with this its just I can't re install my Word, PowerPoint and Excel as it says I have a problem with my internet and just times out when i try to reinstall it.
I clicked on verify disk and it gave me an error about disk cannot not be verified because volume is too big... This is on an older style MBP with a 160gb hard drive.. How do I get around this because I can't click on repair disk.
On my macbook air, I click the email button and it keeps saying checking for mail but I haven't gotten any new mail since March 25th. It just keeps saying checking for new emails but I know I have new emails because there coming to my iPhone. I have internet connection.
i was looking at a website for guitars and i am not sure why but when i clicked a link to view accessories my macbook restarted and i got the system report below.

I´ve got a magic triangle setup, it seems to be working. I got a 10.7.3 Lion Server that has a bind to my AD and also is operating as OD Master. Then I´ve got a test user in my AD and a MacBook Air connected to AD and my OD, no issues here. Works fine logging on as my testuser to my AD on my MB Air. What I would like to do is to manage some Mac OS settings through my OD, I have two local groups in OD (Mac Users and Mac Computers). I have added my AD user test account to the Mac Users group and also added my MacBook AD computer account to the group Mac Computers.
If I for example edit some settings applied to the user group, lets say that I edit some dock settings, that settings does work and applies when I log in to my AD. But the settings applied on the computer group does not work. I have tried setting some Energy Saver settings to the Mac Computers group but that setting does not go through when I log on to the computer belonging to that group. Any one seen this before, maybe pointing me in the right direction.
I want to tighten the touchpad so it doesn't sound so loud whenever I click on it. But I can't find the correct size allen key for the battery screw. Does anyone here know what is the exact size for the screw for the battery and what type of screw driver to adjust on the touchpad? I know I can use a flat head screw driver, the main part is to get the battery out of the way.
My mbp retina is having wifi issues. It says there is no ip address and has an exclamation mark over the wifi signal symbol. I know it is not my router because everything else is working fine. I have tried adding a new location, clearing out system config, restarting the SMC and many other things. I cannot connect to the wifi but sometimes I will be able to randomly connect. If I were to sleep or restart the laptop, the wifi will not connect and its back to square one.

I have a 13in MacBook Pro Mid 2012 model with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. I've got it new in the summer of 2012, and haven't had any real problems until now. I have a 1TB Hitachi external hard drive with over 600GB left of storage. I'm running Yosemite.
Lately, as in the past few weeks but more noticeably the past few days, I can't open files if I just double click on them from my desktop or from searching them outside of the application. For instance, if I click on a word document on my desktop, it will cause the work icon to bounce for a while, pretending to open, but it never does. If the application is already running, the file just won't open. If I search from the "open" selection within the application, it works fine. This is true for all of my Microsoft Office apps, Photoshop, Preview, iTunes, and everything in between, all of which I had never had a problem with before.
Next, anytime I try to backup my system using Time Machine, it simply shows the "Preparing Backup" status and never starts. I've had the hard drive and used it as a Time Machine since I got the computer, and have had zero problems at all.
I've tried CleanMyMac2, Memory Clean, and I've always kept my Mac very clean and organized, as in no duplicate files, moving my biggest files onto my hard drive, and deleting any of my unnecessary files. I know I don't have a ton of RAM left, but I'm honestly not completely sure what to do about that, as this model apparently doesn't have RAM updates available.

I have been having intermittent trouble with my USB ports on my Early 2011 MBP 13" i7. One port was dead. This started when I upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard. In order to see if the problem was with the installation of Lion, I cloned my drive with Lion 10.7.3 on it and then reinstalled Snow Leopard OS from the disks that came with the computer. The problem disappeared. I restored the clone of my drive with Lion on it and the problem did not occur again... right away. Now after a day of using the computer with the restored clone with Lion on it, the problem cropped up again, but not as bad as it was before. The port stopped working, but when I unplugged the device and plugged it in again, the port worked.
I am wondering if this could be a driver issue. I just happened to notice that iTunesHelper has a Yellow Warning triangle in the Login Items window in the Accounts System preferences. And Kind is listed as Unknown. In another MBP 13" I use at work, that has Lion 10.7.3 on it, iTunesHelper has Kind listed as Application with no yellow warning triangle. Is this something to be concerned about?

In VIEWING (to print) my iTunes music (in finder), how can i view subfolders without clicking on the triangle of each main folder?I am trying to print a list of all my music. For example, main folder is BEATLES. Subfolders are Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, etc...and I want to view and print all the subfolders. This is a recovery project after my hard drive failed. I know this is truly a "finder" question and will double post there.
