MacBook Pro :: OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) How To Recover Note From Backup Drive

I'm on a macbook Pro and I've been having trouble with "Notes" ever since I upgraded to Yosemite. At first notes wasn't syncing properly from MacBook to iPhone, then it looked like sync was happening properly. But now I've noticed that one, important, long-running "Note" has disappeared from both devices. I don't use "Time Machine," but I do do weekly back-ups to a hard drive using SuperDuper. Those back-ups are set to not delete information, so I'm hoping this missing "Note" and/or its data is somewhere on my back-up drive? I've been trying to look through my library, etc., but I can't seem to find it. I opened the Notes app from the back-up and the Note was still missing.

I have clean installed the OS X Yosemite to the new hdd due to problems with the old one and the only trouble I've got is the Notes.app doesn't show the notes themselves.
I can see the notes list synced from iCloud, but when I choose the note in the list the app doesn't show the contents of the selected note.

I am doing a backup prior to my first ever format & reinstall. Time Machine will not allow my use of this external hard drive that I had previously used for a Time Machine backup . Time Machine says, " The backup disk is not in Mac OS Extended ( journaled) Format, which is required." how do I change it to Extended (journaled) Format?
Yes the external hard drive in question is meant for Mac.

I just got a new 256GB SSD drive for my mac, I want to import my data from time machine backup, but its larger than 256GB since it used to be on my old optical drive. How can I import my latest backup keeping out some big files on the external drive?
After I upgraded to Yosemite, my MAC Time Machine backup drive is no longer recognized and the process freezes when I try to re-install the drive from the drive's software.Â
I did a video recording for my interview (for work purposes) and suddenly my Macbook freezes and then the Photo Booth app closed automatically and when I check the Photo booth library, the video isn't there. Can I retrieve it back??
I recently got a new mac and had backed up all my saved data onto an external hard drive with my old one. When I was setting up my new mac I recovered it from an existing backup (my old computer) and everything seemed to be back to normal. On my old computer I was in the process of making a video with Final Cut Pro X and made sure that it was backed up onto the external hard drive. On my new mac when I tried to recover it, it appeared as a file that couldn't be opened with FCP. Within FCP it had the video but all of the files were missing. I started to relink all of the files but there has to be a faster way. How do I recover this file? Is there a way to just import the backup without having to ever relink files?Â
I have a Mac Book Air with Yosemite installed. I also have Time Machine backing up to a Time Capsule. Plus, two other Macs are backing up to the Time Capsule. The problem I am having is that the Mac Book Air backups are not working. It keeps say "Preparing Backup" then after a while it says "Stopped". I have tried deleting the "In Progress File" but this has not worked. The other backups on the other machines seem to be working fine.
My gf connected my external 250GB drive to her computer and somehow managed to choose it as her time machine-drive and backed up to it. Is there any way I can retrieve my lost data? We're talking two complete albums of my own written and produced music, several years of photos and school work plus like 40-50 movies.
My 2008 iMac bit the dust but I did consistently back up using Time Machine to an external drive. I plan on replacing it but need to get some files off the backup soon. Is it possible to connect my external backup drive to a friends iMac and copy just the files I need?
My login.keychain password is not recognized anymore, i am very sure about the actual pwd string and I tried to restart apps and machine already, I believe the file got corrupted somehow, hence various applications such as FTP clients cannot autoconnect to external resources
I am bound to recover from a Timemachine backup, but all discussions are just dealing with recovering items in the keychain file once it is restored, what about the keychain master password? is it contained in the login.keychain file so that restoring that file to the HD will allow me to regain access to the saved items?
Some time ago I had a hard drive failure on my PowerMac Pro Quad processor.
No problem I thought as I was using time machine however, when I went to re-load from an earlier back up iTunes failed to load completely, the song titles are the but with approx 50% of them I get the error "original file could not be found" also in many case I get the iCloud sign but with a ! in the cloud...
I have this issue in both macs I own, a 2010 MBP, and a 2012 Mac mini. After I upgraded to yosemite, Time Machine will not find my backup disk. I have been using the same network attached storage drive for 4 years for time machine backups. I has worked fine with all the macs I've owned until now. I can see the disk in Finder, I can go to disk utility and mount the Time Machine disk, but when I go to Time Machine preferences and try to select the list, the disk is not listed there, even though is mounted.
I had a Sony Vaio desktop computer and about two years ago I installed a system update from Windows which completely corrupted my hard drive. It wouldn't be such a big deal except I had about a year of photos which I had not backed up. I purchased around $300 of various (and supposedly reputable) data and photo recovery software; however, none of them worked. I could recover thumbnails and that's it.

My computer had frozen up so I had to restart it by holding down the power button. After I had done this, I kept getting a recurring kernel panic error. I had taken my MacBook the Apple Store and the tech who looked at it said that my hard drive was no longer good and that I would either have to replace it or purchase a new laptop. I recently bought a new SSHD/Hybrid Drive for my mid-2012 MBP and I plan on installing it. The drive matches all physical requirements to fit inside my laptop, however the issue is on getting OS X to boot on the drive. I was looking into booting from a USB drive as it was the most convenient option for me that I saw while surfing Apple's website. However, in the system's requirement anecdote, it stated that it [the recovery disk file] was incompatible with all Fusion drives, which worried me. I've seen some people state that the Fusion and Hybrid are the same thing, and some say it's not, but in the case they are the same, how will I be able to boot the OS onto it? I am trying to avoid bringing it to the Genius Bar to have it installed, but if I have to, I guess. Â
So, I've been searching the forums, as I just had a 1TB (well actually a dual 500GB) external drive stop mounting and start clicking on me. I'm trying to find a way to recover files, and I know I've seen a lot of posts on DriveSavers, which. I was searching around, and I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of a company called "OneWorld Data Recovery." It was something I stumbled across, but I can't find any reviews, or nail down anybody who's used it.

My 6 months old macbook pro 13 hard drive was damaged. It was replaced at the apple store and in order to recover my information they suggested to buy a "cradle" to download the information or use it as a separate drive. Does anyone know the spec or point me in the right direction on where to find one?
I had mounted my drive to a G5 tower and it was severely frozen and would not let me shut down. I forced the computer off while the drive was still running and now when I try to mount it it, every computer tells me that the drive I inserted is not readable, and it gives me the option to initialize, ignore, or eject. I don't want to lose any of that data, is there anyone that knows how to recover these files?
Basically I have a 750GB hard drive in my Macbook Pro and over 300GB is taken up with 'BackUp' data. This is more than the total of everything I have on the drive other than that. Time Machine has always been setup on an external drive and when searching all files on the Macbook there is nothing for backup files so don't know where it is coming from.
I am wondering whether a Time Machine backup made on Yosemite will be accessible on Mavericks/Mountain Lion for me to restore to, as I don't want to downgrade and wipe my Mac without any of my data backed up. Is there any way just to backup files and documents?

Everytime I modify a note in the 'Notes'mailbox iun Mail, an email appears in my inbox. Is there anyway to remove the email without removing the note from 'Notes'?
When I create a note on my mac, it is just 'on my mac'. How can I create notes which automatically syn with Icloud? To get it to sync I have to copy the note to Icloud which means I end up with two identical notes on my mac.
