when i create a note in mail it adds it to my inbox-why?

I'm on a macbook Pro and I've been having trouble with "Notes" ever since I upgraded to Yosemite. At first notes wasn't syncing properly from MacBook to iPhone, then it looked like sync was happening properly. But now I've noticed that one, important, long-running "Note" has disappeared from both devices. I don't use "Time Machine," but I do do weekly back-ups to a hard drive using SuperDuper. Those back-ups are set to not delete information, so I'm hoping this missing "Note" and/or its data is somewhere on my back-up drive? I've been trying to look through my library, etc., but I can't seem to find it. I opened the Notes app from the back-up and the Note was still missing.

I screwed up and deleted a user account with settings, documents, applications migrated from one Mac to another. I had two user accounts for my wife and when I deleted the one which I shouldn't have deleted she lost her iPhoto pics. Any chance that account is buried somewhere deep in my Macbook?

I have MAC OS X 10.7 macbook pro. I accidentally deleted one account. And i dont know to recover those files inside.. I want to retrieve those files inside this account.

I've been searching for a note taking app that does what I want, but I couldn't really find anything. Before you start to suggest Evernote, don't. I don't like it. What I need is a simple note taking app without all the fuzz, much like Mac OS X's built in notes (Mail) that syncs to my iPad and iPhone. I should be able to create multiple notes, and I need to attach pictures to the notes (or embed them).
That's really all I am asking for. The only reason I am not using Mac OS X's own notes app is that the notes have a size limit. As soon as I attach 2-3 pictures, the notes are being truncated on the iPhone and iPad (e.g. I only see part of the note, the rest is missing).
I am trying to find a deleted note from the Apple Notes app.
When I look in Time Machine I cannot find the folder: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/CoreData
Is there somewhere else it might be? Can I check iCloud backups somehow?

While surfing the web and trying to save on my reading list. I accidentally deleted the information on my reading list. So all the saved websites are gone.
I don't have time machine set up or an external hard drive to be able to get it back.Â
Is there any alternative way to recover or undelete this?Â

Last night I deleted an account in Leopard (10.5.5) Mail. I backed up all the messages in the account's inbox, but I stupidly forgot to back up the messages in the sent folder. Is there a way I can recover these messages?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy boss accidentally deleted all the messages in his inbox in Apple Mail and since it syncs with the server (mediatemple), they're all gone from the webmail too. Is there anyway to recover these files? I sent a support request to mediatemple to see if they have backups that they can recover too.
We have a tape backup system here at work that backs up his user account. Would there be a specific file to look for that might contain the old messages?
instead of deleting duplicates of my Voicememo because it seemed too complicated, I just lost patience and deleted them all by deleting all files ending in .m4a, but that included all music that came from CDs. How can I bring them back?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs I was trying to install Arch Linux on my Mac (dual-booting), I accidentally deleted my Mac partition! To add insult to injury, the version of linux I downloaded was the wrong one, so I couldn't even have that. I reintalled Mac 10.5 (I have the 10.6 cd, just haven't reinstalled that one yet), and now I want desperately to recover from the old partition.

I spent $100 for Data Rescue 2, which I thought would work, but after talking to their customer service i was informed that DR2 is incapable of recovering "packaged files", hence Garageband. Please i need these files more than anything! Does anybody know of any other program that can recover my Garageband files??
View 19 Replies View RelatedI did something really stupid... I have been accessing my GMail account using POP access and Apple Mail.app. I switched over to IMAP online, went into Mail.app Preferences, deleted my POP account and was about to re-add it as an IMAP account when I noticed that the e-mails in my inbox were deleted when I deleted my POP account. I checked ~/Library/Mail and the folder was in fact deleted. Is there anyway to recover that folder? Not all of the e-mails are still on GMail's web interface.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI deleted my recipes file by accident. I just looked one day and it was gone. I had moved it from my document file to the desk top because I couldn't figure out how to create a shortcut for that file to eliminate going through all the steps to get to the file. Now, it is gone. Who the heck knows how that happened, but it did. the steps to recover those recipes. Most of them are written in the PAGES file extension, so the DOC recovery system I used didn't see any of my PAGES files.

How do I revover an accidentaly deleted partiton from an external drive? Actually how do I do it without thirty party software, just using free or testdisk?
I am just not shure what I did, but I replaced my external HDD partition with a blank one. I didn't do/copy/erase/modify anything from the drive after that, so I think it would be easy to restore the partition.
Another problem is that the Quick Search of test disk is taking an eternity to finish. I'm imagining what would happen if I use the Deepr Search.
I saw videos of people doing it with other type of filesystems and it seamed so fast.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI work in a very small school so we do not have an IT department that is top notch. Anyways, We had a student google something and went to the images part of the search. Well he got porn and he printed some stuff out. He then cleared the history. Is there any way we can recover that history? We have one actual image that he printed, but we can't prove that it came from the computer that he was working on at the time. What we were told was from another student and we can not just go on that for disciplinary reasons.
