I'm missing two of the little black rubber pieces on the bottom of my MacBook Pro and cannot find them. It is EXTREMELY annoying. Is there a way to buy more from Apple? I REALLY need them. it bothers me alot.

I am new to macs. I just bought a used macbook air, and realized 3 screws were missing from the bottom, I called all the local repair shops, no one has screws for it. I would really like to get the screws. Longer ones by the fan I am more concerned about, where could I order them from without getting a while set for like $40? It is out of warranty so apple will not give me the screws.

My mac was being very, very slow so I turned it off, then as it it was booting it was taking ages so i restared in safe mode. While booting in safe mode the black bar at the bottom goes around 2/5 of the way across and then my macbook just switches off.Ive tried:fsckdisk utility repair/verifyreinstalling OS X Lion
When i tried to repair, it said i needed to erase everything and reinstall the OS. Last night when i tried to it said both drives are locked so i couldnt. And now when i just tried again, neither drivers are appearing; the box is just blank.
Let alone my livelyhood on the laptop, i have thousands and thousands pictures which if lost, would genuinley heartbreak me. I have much valuable data on my laptop and i really dont want to erase all data, because me being the gigantic fool that i am, i only have one time machine back up from about a year and a half ago.

I just bought my macbook pro 13 inch about a 40 days ago and I have just noticed two small black dots on the on the bottom of the screen near the left side of my dock. I have done some research and they seem to be "dead pixels" They're really small but for the price I payed i didnt expect any problems. What are some suggestions to get rid of them or if i should contact tech support? Here are two pictures of the dots: They kinda change colour when i move my head around.. Not sure if theyre dead pixels or not.

Next to my unibody Macbook Pro June 09's disc insert thing on the right hand side of the MBP, there looks like a little port or something? It's to the left of the disc tray which is on the right hand side of the MBP. I could have sworn that port wasn't a port, but now I think the cover fell off or something? Or was there never a cover on it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 2008 MacBook and it was working perfectly fine until one day I was using it and the screen instantly faded to black. I first thought my battery power had shut off, so then I closed the laptop but that little light on right front side was still blinking meaning the computer was still on. I then shut down the computer and turned it back on but as it started the screen was its normal brightness for about 3 seconds then it quickly went black again. If I shine a light on the screen I can barely make out what it shows, which is my normal screen when I open up the laptop. Did my screen somehow break from overuse or does have to do with the battery?

I have a MacBook Pro with the 9600gt in it. Since updating to 10.6.4 this morning 2 times while playing java games i've had the bottom half of my screen go black and most of the top half flicker. I've had to hold in the power button and reset both times. The second time I closed the screen and reopened it, the screen was black but no mouse and nothing moved.
Any advice? Would this be something to do with my graphics card or possibly some error in 10.6.4?Edit:: This is software related to 10.6.4 update and only happens when I open up a java game in a browser.
I am trying to get all my devices working together on the cloud and syncing when plugged to eachother. I schedule a meeting in iCal and it doesn't go over to the other devices. In addition, when I try to go to apple and set up the cloud, it tells me to go to the Apple Preferences and select the iCloud icon. I don't have one on my laptop.

I used Tag&Rename to modify mp3 files names and id3 tags in batches and I also used dBpoweramp Music Convertor to convert my music to whichever bitrate I wanted.

I have an Intel iMac running OS 10.5.8. I've purchased 10.6.3 to install. I have, however, lots of strange stuff all over my Mac, much of it brought over from older Macs and OS's over the decades and not visited (via Get Info) from dates before I bought this unit, 11/'07. Is there a way to ID and get rid of the useless detritus from the past before I do a second backup to a flash drive? I also have an external LaCie drive, but there's so much junk on both drives!

I edited two different pieces of chroma key to composite. I had many pieces of video and edited them togeth and exported them to a file then reimported it into an iMovie event. I did the same with the background and combined them together. I did this once before and no trouble.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 3 part video from YouTube that I got with DownloadHelper, in mp4 format. I want to stitch the three pieces together in iMovie, so I have one video instead of 3. The first part seems to import normally. It copies the file over, and spends some time generating thumbnails. Then it duly places the video in an event. The other two parts take maybe 5 seconds to import. No thumbnails, no nothing. All three files are in the iMovie folder, but the last two refuse to appear in iMovie itself. The video codec is the same as other clips that I imported successfully some time ago: AAC, H.264.

Question is - which do you guys think is better, the Speck or Incase cases? Anyone have any experiences? I had the Incase hardshell for my old whitebook.
Seemed to work out alright. The other option I thought of was getting the invisible shield. Anyone have any thoughts?
