View 4 RepliesAfter wiping and reloading all data from my Mac, I reloaded my photos but each photo is individually split into 10 pieces. How do I fix this?

no longer split into inbox/message view on the right. I've gone through every option possible but i cannot get it back.
the left column contains the email inbox/outbox/etc...
the the large section of the screen should be split into two sections, the email folder at the top, and the actual email below it.
but I somehow deleted the message window split.
I recently as in last week received my Mini and so far I have everything I need that I have on windows except for two things that I do not know where to get.
I used Tag&Rename to modify mp3 files names and id3 tags in batches and I also used dBpoweramp Music Convertor to convert my music to whichever bitrate I wanted.
Does anyone know of any Mac software that does the same or better?
I have a 3 part video from YouTube that I got with DownloadHelper, in mp4 format. I want to stitch the three pieces together in iMovie, so I have one video instead of 3. The first part seems to import normally. It copies the file over, and spends some time generating thumbnails. Then it duly places the video in an event. The other two parts take maybe 5 seconds to import. No thumbnails, no nothing. All three files are in the iMovie folder, but the last two refuse to appear in iMovie itself. The video codec is the same as other clips that I imported successfully some time ago: AAC, H.264.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a set of split files with letter extensions. They are named <filename>.iso.__a, <filename>.iso.__b, and so on. Additionally they continue on to <filename>.iso._aa to <filename>.iso._as. This further confuses me because a Mac will list the <filename>.iso.__a first but a PC will put the <filename>.iso._aa first so I am unsure which is the initial file. I haven't found software that will join them properly. Split and Concat stalls out at 4kb. MacHacha makes a full sized file but it won't mount. Stuffitexpander won't even try, and Ajoiner shades out all the files as they don't end in numbers. I also tried renaming all the files with numbers but this too failed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to figure out what software and how to use it for making a split screen video. Basically I have 2 videos already recorded of my son, one when first born and one at 3 months. What I want to do is combine them in one video with one movie on the left half of the screen and one on the right, for direct comparison purposes. What program(s) do I need for this to work?

From a nonprofit that I help, I get a PDF each week that is 10 pages long. I would like to split that automatically into 10 separate pages for filing and posting reasons. Is there an easier way to do that then opening up the file, extracting a single page, saving that page, then repeating 9 times?

I would like a little more information on create a split rar archive in OS X 10.4.11. At the moment I have downloaded winrar and copied the rar file to /bin/ and I can execute the command
Code:
rar a -v50000 testfile
to create a split archive, each part 50mb each.
But the only problem with this is that it will create files using the extension .part#.rar and I would like it to use .r00 .r01 .r02 etc.
Does anybody know a good program to split a pdf page in two? Not splitting a pdf into two pdf's, but one page into two pages within the pdf.
I have some articles at work that were photocopied 2 pages into 1. Now they are pdf's, but I want to split each of those pages in half. I have had terrible luck with PDF clerk pro, where I have to take 8 steps and it makes duplicates of all pages in the process.
I have documents with a large number of pages, so I'd prefer not to having to do it one page at a time.
I love the feature in windows 7 where you can take a window and put it to the side of the screen. I want to do tis in OSX. I tried Cinch, but I would love something that is free. I also Tried Two up but I want to Dag it to the side of my screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Intel iMac running OS 10.5.8. I've purchased 10.6.3 to install. I have, however, lots of strange stuff all over my Mac, much of it brought over from older Macs and OS's over the decades and not visited (via Get Info) from dates before I bought this unit, 11/'07. Is there a way to ID and get rid of the useless detritus from the past before I do a second backup to a flash drive? I also have an external LaCie drive, but there's so much junk on both drives!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was just thinking about the stuff I have on my HD, and I'm not really sure what is eating up the 500gb HD I have installed in it (with only 50gb or so available at the moment). The usual culprits (iTunes and iPhoto library) are both on externals.
And i don't *think* I've got nearly 450gb worth of audio work on here.
So my question is, is there an application that will scan through my system HD and tell me which olders/files are taking up the most space? This may give me some idea of what I should start getting rid of.
