I edited two different pieces of chroma key to composite. I had many pieces of video and edited them togeth and exported them to a file then reimported it into an iMovie event. I did the same with the background and combined them together. I did this once before and no trouble.
View 3 RepliesI have a 3 part video from YouTube that I got with DownloadHelper, in mp4 format. I want to stitch the three pieces together in iMovie, so I have one video instead of 3. The first part seems to import normally. It copies the file over, and spends some time generating thumbnails. Then it duly places the video in an event. The other two parts take maybe 5 seconds to import. No thumbnails, no nothing. All three files are in the iMovie folder, but the last two refuse to appear in iMovie itself. The video codec is the same as other clips that I imported successfully some time ago: AAC, H.264.

When I export the sequence I edited with quicktime, the playback video is very different from what I edited on the timeline. The playback has the clips with ins and outs that are way off than what I cut, and some of the clips don't show at all or have changed transitions. However when I play in the timeline in FCP, the sequence is fine, just the way I cut it.
The source of the clips was one long .mov that I cut into clips for the timeline. Everything has gone smoothly but the exported .mov is just so different. How can I get the time codes of the clips to be the same in the exported .movs? I just want the quicktime .mov to represent my edit exactly. can I play within the FCP player window and Log and Capture? Â

I upgraded to imovie 08 last year and have not been able to learn how to use it. As I still have imovie hd, I opened a new project in the old imovie hd and imported some photos and movies (.mov) files. When the movies and photos came in, each thumbnail is shaded in green. I cannot see through this green shading to the photos or movies at all. Even when I click on the thumbnail of either a photo or movie it just comes up as a large green square, however when I 'play' the movie file from the clip viewer I can see the contents of the movie. As soon as I stop playing it, the clip goes back to having the green shading over the top. Have you heard of this before and is there anything I can try to fix it. I have looked in the forum but cannot see anything specific to this problem

Our eMac seems to be developing a green tint in the bottom right hand corner of its screen. I've done some quick searching online and it seems that a few people have suggested a cold boot so it runs the degaussing process on a startup.
I left the eMac off for about an hour, unplugged. It did the degauss once it was plugged back in and "seems" to have removed nearly all of the green tint.
There are a few threads on various forums when I search on Google about this issue but they have no conclusive reasons why this is happening.
Could my eMac be developing a fault at all? I'm not too sure if anything magnetic has been placed on our table near the eMac so this may be the reason.
since i use eye tv some thumbnails of video are green like thisi find an eyetv component in quicktime library folder, if i delete it the thumbnails are normal but every time i start eyetv this eyetv will create this component called eyetv mpeg support.component

View 1 Replies View RelatedNormally I build my own machines, but this time around I needed final cut for some projects so I went all out and bought a nice mac pro about a year ago to use primarily as a gaming machine, with final-cut-pro video editing on the side. I've only done a couple FCP edits on the machine and as a result, have mostly used the PC side of things (via bootcamp) and play a game a few times a week on average (Team fortress 2 and FFXI etc). It's run beautifully, easily the best purchase I've ever made.Today is the first day I've had any serious issue with the machine. Having grown up building gaming computers, I am familiar with the corruption (most notably the 'green' corruption that stands out) associated with video cards. Last night I popped on a game called Dragonica that my fiance is into, she needed a hand with some boss thing, so even though I'm not super into it I hopped on. Before I knew it, the screen flickered green-colored-corruption for a second, then locked up. I restarted, thinking its probably a fluke, and before I could get all the way back in, it did it again. I turned off the machine and went to bed (had work in the morning).

I recently as in last week received my Mini and so far I have everything I need that I have on windows except for two things that I do not know where to get.
I used Tag&Rename to modify mp3 files names and id3 tags in batches and I also used dBpoweramp Music Convertor to convert my music to whichever bitrate I wanted.
Does anyone know of any Mac software that does the same or better?
Anyone ever gotten a green screen? Last time I saw one, the logic board died. I'm hoping that's not what happened here.I was ripping some videos on my MacPro 1,1 (2006) when all of the sudden the computer crashed and the screen turned green. What I'm doing: I have a S-video cable connected from the VCR to my mac with the proper adaptors to make it work as well as the audio cables. when I connect it all up and play the VHS, nothing happens.So I've read a few sources about the internet that have told me I can do this so I went out and got the adaptor for S-video for mac but when I plug it into my mac, it doesn't recognize anything is plugged in.
Will this work at all or do I have to go the capture card/camcorder route?Does my computer not recognize the signal because it's analog? The VHS player I'm using doubles as a DVD player so is it possible to change that without extra parts if that is in fact my problem?Is there any sort of program I can download (preferably freeware) that will recognize the signal from the VHS player or something that can be downloaded for imovie that will do the same thing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe just upgraded to LION 10.7.4 and I'm noticing on a few of my Quicktime movies - when paused, the screen turns green? THAT'S never happened before. I'm sure it's an upgrade issue, when I go back to our clone from last week, it doesn't do that! We use QT Pro 7.66. on a MacBook Pro (about 1 1/2 years old) - always perfect results, but now this? No big deal, just a little annoying. It only does this on a few of the movies we've exported out of Final Cut Pro. Can't find the pattern?Â

The machine hung 3 times - it went to a gray screen with a light gray box about 5"X3" with a light colored power switch as a background, that says "You need to restart your computer.
