Is there a way to change the delete button to delete to the right instead of to the left? I always have to reposition the cursor to delete what I want!

Where can I find the delete button on a Macbook? Am I being blind/stupid or does it not exist.

However, what's the command for the delete button?
I tried googling it, but the only result (fn+backspace), didn't work.
I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm using a Danish keyboard.
It is showing a circle with a line through it. I can't undock it. I have looked in prefferences but no joy.

Note the F keys on the 11 inch, and the new power button. What's missing? Also note the lack of the word 'backlit' in the descriptions for either machine. Both machines have the same keyboard, just to eliminate the power button in the name of aesthetics.

Right now I have iTunes open playing music, as well as a paused video in VLC. When I press the play/pause button (F8) on my black late 2008 MacBook, it pauses iTunes but then unpauses the VLC video. This is obviously totally unwanted behavior. How do I fix this so that this button only controls one app at a time?
I need to deactivate old ID's in iTunes however there is no 'deactivate all' button in my current account preferences (says only one computer is autorized). When I want to authorize my current computer for past purchases on an old ID (old computer), I am asked for a PW for my old ID. How do I get past the old ID (without a 'deactivate all' button) and get all my music purchased over the years? BTW I have already re-set.

You know how in Windows you can use the tab key to tab through fields in a dialogue box until the OK or Cancel button is selected, then use the enter key to execute one's choice? Well how does one do that in Leopard? For example, I am entering a lot of transactions into my accounting software (MYOB) and each entry has to be recorded by hitting the OK button. It's highlighted in blue but hitting the enter key doesn't do it and I cannot tab to it. It would speed things up greatly if I didn't have to keep mousing to the button.
View 4 Replies View Relatedok so I have 13000 track on my computer. I probably hate 9000 of them. This collection has been building up for a good 10 years. I like to listen to music on random. I want to be able to either hit "next" or "delete".
I dont want to have go to itunes window, hit delete then "Move to trash". I want the delete button to do that. even if I'm not on the itunes window.
thoughts? It also doesn't have to be itunes. I don't care what it is. if its not itunes i can use it for a month to syphon through all my music then all thats leftover Ill enjoy through itunes.
Switcher here. First off, I can't for the love of god understand why apple didn't include a simple eject button on the chassi. Second, the eject button on the keyboard does not seem to work. It may be that I'm noob and all, but I tried both clicking and holding down the eject button on the keyboard. Result: a clicking the tray does some normal noise but nothing really happens?

I have a 3 TB hard drive which I'd previously partitioned into a 1 TB and a 2 TB partition. I've emptied and erased the 2 TB compartment, but when I go to the partition section on Disk Utility, and select that partition (now called Free Space) and select it, only the + button is alive, and the - button is greyed out.
How can I delete this entire partition?

Ever since I installed Snow Leopard, once start-up is complete, I am not able to use the keyboard or track pad button for about 3-4 minutes. They are frozen - the cursor/arrow move according to trackpad/mouse movements, but anything kind of button/key input is not registered.

But my father uses Bose speakers but can do both! However, he does not use an audio interface.
Can I get my imac to do both? And if so, is this a good idea with such good speakers? Is the keyboard just turning it up digitally?
I only ask because it can be annoying reaching up over the speaker to turn the nob instead of just hitting a button on the keyboard.

I'm thinking about switching from my Logitech MX400 to Mighty Mouse (I'm starting not to like the shape of the logitech, too big. MM is a breeze to work with...)
The Logitech essentially has one button more (it has two side buttons, each separately programmable) and I use it for executing Cmd+H on the active app -- and I've grown pretty addicted to it. Hiding an app with a mouse is a lovely feat... And the second one is for Expose.
I know we can goto my computer click eject disk and then close it manually.
Is there anyway to do this? Is there a way to route the disk open/close button on the kb to work?
First of all, Noob imac owner here. I was just handed down an old imac g3 400mhz desktop that doesn't power at all. When hitting the power button on the unit or keyboard, the units screen makes a noise. No hard drive or green light comes on at all. At dead silence in the room, i can hear the screen flicker, like a tv would come on. I went to go about and read a few problems before, replaced the battery and even tried a new power cord. Any Ideas?
