My battery is charged - in fact, I always have it plugged in. Regularly, I cannot activate my screen, even though the LED light is on. Only works if I switch power off, and back on. Computer is three months old.

If I go into keychain>settings>show in menu bar there is a little lock in the menu bar. First option is "protect screen" which is what I need really often in my day. So how to activate that option via hotkey? I tried several times but I could not manage to do that. Active corners with the screen saver dos not work because it feels to slow.I want to press a button and be done.Going into standby takes to long to reactivate... so the described option seems the right one.Â

We've got a new macbook air running Lion. There's an icon for remote disk in the Finder window. We have two iMacs and both have CD/DVD sharing turned on. But the Remote Disk on the Air is empty. View 5 Replies View RelatedAll time PC user and finally picked up my first Mac, a brand new 2010 2.4 MBP! Just wondering, being used to normal tap to click functions from PC machines im wondering. Do most of you MBP users use tap to click or actually use the click on the trackpad? I've noticed using the click is more accurate as far as responses, but isn't as efficient/fast as using tap to click. Can I get suggestions from you MBP users on what you guys use? I'm far in between the two so I want to know which one I probably should use so I basically "learn" to use it over time. Also, noticed when I activate tap to click and use dragging, when I start to drag a window, and find the place I want to leave it. I'll raise my finger like 1mm in the air and it still registers my finger there and will still move it. It wont unlock my finger from the drag lock unless I lift it more than 3mm off the trackpad.

I just got my Macbook Air back from apple repair. I went to go facetime one of my friends and it told me to log into my Apple ID. I logged in with my info and chose my contact info (the number and email I use) and clicked next. As I waited for it to load, it did but went back to the screen where it has me log into facetime.
Also the same thing with iMessage where it will not activate my account. I have had no problems with iMessage and Facetime before on my Macbook till now.
sent off for my 15 inch 2.8GHZ MBP June 09 edition. since im getting it on finance i have to wait for them to send me the contract for me to sign. When they get it back they will send the MBP. In the mean time, i just wanted to know is there anything useful to do when i get it out of the box. For example any app's to download?
