Every time I power up my Mac Pro, I get the attached message upon start-up.
If I click on 'Relaunch' it does nothing.
I have reported it, but nothing has changed.
Clicking on 'ignore' makes it go away, but it reappears every time I power up my CPU.
AppleCare didn't even know what it meant either!
Any suggestions? What is "LOGINserver" anyway?

When I try to log into iMessage from my Macbook Pro (OS X Mavericks Version 10.9.4) the loading symbol appears for as long as I leave it and never actually logs in. I have read every solution to this and tried everything, from deleting the .plist, to turning on firewall and adding iMessage and IMAgent, to changing my apple ID, resetting JAVA, forcing quit IMAgent on Activity Monitor. Nothing has worked, still the same problem every time. I have tried to delete iMessage and see if I can reinstall it somehow but it won't let me do that either.Â

I'm envisioning a scenario where users can drop multi-page, image based PDF files into a shared folder. That folder is "watched" on a OS X Lion server and new files are OCR processed and then moved to another location. My googling so far hasn't showed much promise. Most solutions I'm finding are for windows. Has anyone solved this problem yet? Currently my users are doing the processing in Adobe Acrobat X Pro by hand. It's crushing their laptops and proving to be quite inefficient.

iMessage, or message whatever it's called. It's message app but when I try to login shows iMessage screen.Up till last night messages was working fine on my Yosemite Mac, iPod touch and my old iPod touch.
I did the 8.1.2 update on my iPod and when I started my Mac up it asked for an iMessage log in, never did this before. Typed the correct password and it just sits there with the gear wheel spinning beside my Apple id, tried changing DNS, deleted keychain passwords, switched messages off/on on the the other devices as well as iCloud. The other devices still work on the same router. Tried switching from wired, which it usually operates on to wi-fi only and deleted iMessages preferences, nothing.

Macs Console says this every time I try to update from 10.6.7 - 10.6.8Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â "10:08 PM Installer[244] The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."Â I can't update what so ever... every application basically needs to be manually installed or just comes to an unknown error either restarting the Mac or going through standalone...

I couldn't log into my iMessage account in the Messages application on Mac OS 10.8.5 on my Macbook Pro. At first it would try to log in, then I get a window saying that I couldn't log in and to contact support, . And this was the "validation code" - 2759-9329-5430Â
I called support, they said that there was probably just a glitch and it'd be fixed in an hour... it's been about 4 days. Still can't log in. After I received that first message that took me to this page, then is just started saying "can't log in." .I'm back to getting that "validation code" page link again... Who spilled a beer on the iCloud server again?Â

on a windows platform, you have Server 2003 running Active Directory on a domain. and XP SP2 clients login to the domain connected to the server.is it possible to run the same situation but run OSX Server instead of a windows 2003 server? I'm just thinkin for a small office and reliability of using mac platform instead of pc with potential viruses and stuff, I want to use my office osx server machine and use windows pc's up front to log into the server.

I have installed Leopard 10.5 server and have created users and everything. I can remotely access it to administrate it. This may be a stupid question, but how do I login as a user on the server? I tried to connect to server through the go menu. I couldn't. The IP would not work, although in other parts the ip is recognized.

the mac boots very slowly recently, but it went faster a month ago. I use Command+V to boot in verbose mode, it displays "[Icannot get audit control port", and then blocks. After waiting for about one minute, it goes on for Ethernet detection, etc. The "one-minute" bothered me a lot. Probably it's a hardware issue or not? Do anyone know what's it, and how to fix it?I have a MBP 2010-13#model, installed with Lion OS.

I have a macbook and trying to connect to the server at work which is a windows machine. I can connect to the wireless fine. They had said if I'm able to use wireless then I should be able to connect to the server. When I click on it, it always says There was a problem connecting to the server. The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again. Â Â

We have an Apple server bound to a Windows AD. All looks good and I created shares on the Apple giving permissions to the Windows AD users.
However, I have two problems:
1) From a Mac I can see the shares but can't connect with AD accounts.
2) From a Windows client I can't see nor connect.

I run an OS X server with associated Sun workstations running GNOME desktop 2.6. When I create user accounts on the server, I can't log in from the Suns. When I ssh from one of the accounts on the server to one of the suns I get a message saying it could not chdir to the home directory. Any ideas on how I can properly create user accounts to allow for login on Sun workstations?

We are currently running a 10.7.4 Server with 10.7.4 clients. The problem is with the calendar system's sharing funtion. Some users will consistently receive an error message "403" Stating that the user does not have permission to edit the item when they edit an item or change an existing event to another user's shared calendar. After some troublshooting I found that if I made the claendar in question the default calendar in iCal, I was able to create vents without problem. I have tried removing the problemed users from that calendar's list of shared users, and changing permissions back and forth from Read to Read/Write without any success. There are no iCloud or MobileMe accounts on any of the client machines, a pertinent negative as searching for a resolution to this issue yeilds many similar problems related to those services. Â
Summary:Creating or editing an event in a shared calendar within iCal (while not the host of sdaid calendar) results in a error code 403. However, when the user in question changes their default calendar to the shared calendar, there is no issue creating new events. The issue is only persistant with a few users. Other users have no issue manipulting existing records in the same shared calendar. Â
Configuration:
OS X Lion Server (10.7.4)
iCal service is configured properly
Clients are all running 10.7.4Â
