My iMessage on the macbook pro won't let me login. I've check my internet contention and everything is working fine. So I don't know what to do next.

I haven't been able to send or receive iMessages on my Macbook Pro or my iPad. They do not receive any incoming messages or have the ability to send out any messages. Every time I try to send a message to a phone number REGISTERED WITH IMESSAGE, this error message pops up. Even though iMessage refuses to work on both my iPad and my Macbook, it has been working flawlessly on my iPhone. Every number that I try (and fail) to send an iMessage to on both my iPad and my Macbook, I have been successfully able to send a message to on my iPhone with no problem. Â
This is what gets me: I have signed in to my Mac and my iPad with several other Apple IDs and iMessage works FINE when there is another Apple ID involved. There is no problem when someone else signs in using their Apple ID. So far, the only thing that has been affected is iMessage. All other aspects of iCloud work great. FaceTime hasn't stopped working once, for example.Â
I have had two separate cases with Apple Support about this issue. I have brought all my machines to the apple store TWICE, and they still couldn't figure out what was wrong.Â

My Late 09 MacBook Air has been working a treat, not a spot of bother. All of a sudden, about 5 minutes ago, I've gone to go online to download some research papers (I'm *trying* to write an essay) and it won't load anything. Not even my Twitter app. It is connected to the right network, which is working absolutely fine on every other device in the house (windows computers, iphone etc). I've turned it off and on twice, the way that us clueless folk do.. now I don't know what to do.

For about a week or so now, my Safari has been loading webpages incredibly slowly. It will often display the message 'server cannot be found/reached'. I have absolutely no idea what's causing this. I know it's not my actual connection, because I can play World of Warcraft with an average latency of 60ms, and direct download large files at a speed I expect.

I use a 4G Galaxy Nexus to broadcast a private WPA2 network. The 4G signal is always strong, and I've verified that the internet is active on the broadcasting device, and that other non-Apple devices maintain a solid connection. However my macbook pro does not lose the network connection, the internet stops working only on the macbook pro and I must "turn Wifi Off" and back on using the top right menu icon in order for the internet connection to resume working on the laptop. It will stop working every 5-10 minutes.

Cannot log into imessage. it was working fine before, and i had turned on my mac. when i logged in, imessage told me to log in, in which i did with my Apple ID password. However, i keep getting a message saying that i cannot log in at the moment, but I know that there is nothing wrong with my network connection. When I try to log into iMessage from my Macbook Pro (OS X Mavericks Version 10.9.4) the loading symbol appears for as long as I leave it and never actually logs in. I have read every solution to this and tried everything, from deleting the .plist, to turning on firewall and adding iMessage and IMAgent, to changing my apple ID, resetting JAVA, forcing quit IMAgent on Activity Monitor. Nothing has worked, still the same problem every time. I have tried to delete iMessage and see if I can reinstall it somehow but it won't let me do that either.Â

My Macbook Pro is connecting perfectly to my apartment's internet, but for some reason no websites seem to load. I've tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome and none of them have worked for me. When I clicked "assist me" it said that my internet seems to be working properly, but when I tried pinging google.com the response was "4 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss". Ethernet is working perfectly however and WiFi is working on my iPhone and on my roommate's computer. WiFi is working perfectly at the library as well, so I'm not sure if it's a problem with my computer or with the network.

Until now it has been fine, but all of a sudden, yesterday, it stopped working. iPhone and mac both show self assigned IPs. I tried resetting and setting up a new ad hoc network and checked settings to make sure internet sharing was enabled, but still the mac and iPhone are not given their own IPs.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that occasionally my IR sensor stops working, and no longer responds to changing the volume, skipping the track in iTunes, etc. It can be resolved by going into Security prefs, disabling and re-enabling the IR sensor. This is annoying, however, and I'm wondering if it's a known issue that might be fixed.
I noticed that when you disable and re-enable the IR sensor, the last few remote button pushes you made while it was broken come through in a burst.

iMessage, or message whatever it's called. It's message app but when I try to login shows iMessage screen.Up till last night messages was working fine on my Yosemite Mac, iPod touch and my old iPod touch.
I did the 8.1.2 update on my iPod and when I started my Mac up it asked for an iMessage log in, never did this before. Typed the correct password and it just sits there with the gear wheel spinning beside my Apple id, tried changing DNS, deleted keychain passwords, switched messages off/on on the the other devices as well as iCloud. The other devices still work on the same router. Tried switching from wired, which it usually operates on to wi-fi only and deleted iMessages preferences, nothing.
G4 MDD networked with Mini for approx. 3 years now via a LinkSys BEFSR41 wired router. Ethernet cables are CAT6's with gold-plated ends. Did an erase/install (+ updates) of Panther on G4. ISP is Comcast Cable. Just upgraded my Motorola modem from Surfboard 5100 to SB 5101 yesterday. My network settings are ok...file sharing is turned on...I can ping each 'puter from the other (showing my connection is good).
I have internet access (showing that the router is still good according to Cisco). Now, however, I can't even bring up the window on the G4 asking for my pw....all I get is connection failed, no response from the server. From the Mini, I get Unknown User, incorrect password or login is disabled. I haven't a clue what the problem can be. Everything I do daily depends upon the network connection.
Safari on my 2.16ghz c2d Macbook has ground to a halt all of a sudden. Takes around 30/40 seconds to change between pages on the Forums here, for example. I thought this might just be a Safari 4 bug, but having the same (in fact slightly worse) experience with firefox. Odd thing is that my iPhone, on the same wirelss network is performing at normal (i.e. much faster) speeds. Running 10.5.7, no new apps, downloads or plug-ins, and I've reset safari & rebooted. Even repaired disk permissions. No improvement.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMBP dropped connection and now all I get is an exclamation point where it used to show full bars. This happened right during a time I was online using Chrome! I tried restarting the MBP, resetting the router (or whatever that is called), removing and addine AirPort under System Prefs but nothing works. I'm using the iPad 2 to access the Internet and write this, so I know it works. My iPhone also connects just fine. Just the MBP that suddenly dropped and cannot connect.

I couldn't log into my iMessage account in the Messages application on Mac OS 10.8.5 on my Macbook Pro. At first it would try to log in, then I get a window saying that I couldn't log in and to contact support, . And this was the "validation code" - 2759-9329-5430Â
I called support, they said that there was probably just a glitch and it'd be fixed in an hour... it's been about 4 days. Still can't log in. After I received that first message that took me to this page, then is just started saying "can't log in." .I'm back to getting that "validation code" page link again... Who spilled a beer on the iCloud server again?Â
All of a sudden my macbook pro's iMessage stopped working! Every time I'd send a message, a red circle with an exclamation point pops up on the side of the message. Somedays it'll be on and off where i could send iMessages but only receive one on my mac. I already reinstalled os x and deleted everything, but iMessage wouldn't work on my mac. Same goes for FaceTime! When I accept a FaceTime call, the whole window goes to the side and disappear.
