Wanting to get a sleeve ordered for my 13.3" MBA that I am waiting for from apple. Looking to get something MBA specific to use inside my main bag. I am assuming most companies will continue with their MBA sleeves from the previous gen for the 13.3 as the size differences are small? Any recommendations? Preferably not USA based as they all charge ridiculous shipping to the UK, SFbags etc

Can someone point out some good websites or brands that make some reasonably prices but nice designer sleeves (more-so minimalistic or so, but I'm willing to check out anything). The last case I got was from Isis but they claim they're out of stock of all 3 choices I had asked for, and Etsy doesn't make 17" sleeves (or even 15, only 13). I need them for 17".

What kind of backpacks do you guys use for your MBP? I have a 2.4 17', and I really would like a backpack. I looked at [URL], and they're packs are pretty sweet; although, they are a bit expensive. Does anyone have one and would like to give me some reviews on it?

Longtime lurker and future MBP Arrandale owner (feels good to say it out loud). This will be my first MBP, but I got a small question about the cases/sleeves which is being sold by the Apple store. If the MBP comes out this week, will the current cases/sleeves fit the (new) MBP exactly? I want to buy a case or sleeve.

Since I just got my new i7 mbp, I really want a good backpack to take my mbp to college, trips, etc.. Since there are so many different types of notebook packpacks, I really want one that someone can recommend me. I want a backpack that is really safe for my mbp. For example, a backpack that can handle the notebook with books. The one I saw recently was the aftpack from speck. But I want to make sure If I can get something better than the aftpack, or not.

I'm looking to get a good form-fitting padded sleeve for the New MacBook Air 13". I care little about space on the bag for other items, but more for something that doesn't add much size to the machine itself when carried. Some good suggestions for the 11" here, but anybody have opinions on 13" designs?

Not bought my MBP just yet (waiting for credit card) but Im looking at a backpack to protect it.I need space for the essentials for the laptop (charger, mouse , ... ) and also room for at least a big water bottle (1.5 litres) and a lunch box as I like to take food to work and be very hydrated during the day :P . Does any one know of a back pack that could meet my demands?I want something with plenty of padding, looking to also consider actually getting a light weight cover for the laptop to protect it from scratches too..

I know, I know, another thread asking for advice. I've read through the forums, and I'm not really finding what I'm looking for. I'm seeing most of the sleeves on Amazon are listed as being for the other Macbook (the unibody aluminum one) I want a snug fit, and the power adapter shouldn't be factored into this decision, as I don't want a messenger bag, I will carry my Macbook in my backpack, so we're good there. Price range is under $40 USD including shipping. I was at the Apple store last week, and I looked at the Paul Frank ones, I don't need a designer case, I want one that will protect it, and that's about it.

I'm going to the Apple store to purchase a 13" laptop today! Thanks to those who offered their opinions. Now I'm in the market for a laptop sleeve and backpack. I'm one of those people who like to buy things that are still made in America, and I've found two products that fulfill that.Chrome Backpacks and Colcasac Sleeves
Are these products worth the price premium? The reason I'm interested in the Chrome Backpacks is that they say they are weather proof (which is important for where I live) and extremely tough. Does anyone have experience with Chrome products? Also, I'm not sure which size to get. I'll probably need to fit in a text book, a macbook, and a few single subject notebooks.
Now onto the Colcasac products. Once again, does anyone have experience with this companies products? Do they offer nice protection? I'm open to suggestions so feel free to try and sell me on a particular company or item.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this or not but here it goes anyway. I just purchased at new 15" MBP and I want to get a sleeve so its a little more protected in my briefcase. From what I've been reading it doesn't sound like there are any out there that actually fit the new models properly. Has anyone purchased a sleeve and had that experience with the new model? Or does anyone have an idea if there is a brand that fits and protects? Or when a sleeve for the new models will be available?

Does anyone know which model(s) this may be?

I just got my 13" MacBook Pro back from being repaired (apple replaced the display and the logic board), and now it is running at 83 degrees C (according to iStat Pro) and the fans are only at 2000rpm. Is that normal? My computer never used to be this hot. I can't even hear the fans running.

From the time I bought my new Macbook in Mid-February, it gets hot over small stuff.... and starts getting way hot when i start playing any game like CivilisationV, Sims3 etc.Sometimes its CPU temperature reaches ~93 degrees Celsius and Fan Speen reaches 6500 rpm according to istat pro of Dashboard, and it gets difficult to even rest my palm on the sides of touchpad and keypad.. I contacted customer care here, and they said to make a backup cuz they will put Lion again.. Is it Operating System's fault? Dirt's Fault? Manufacturer defect? or is it Normal? My Charger adapter also gets wayy too much hot after around 20 minutes that I cudnt even touch it!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 13-inch, Late 2011, i5-2.4Ghz, 4GB

According to istatpro my fan exhaust speed when not doing anything (ie straight away when I turn the laptop on) is 1800rpm and I can hear fan noise on the right hand side when just sat normally using the laptop (ie not with my ear to it!). Is this fan speed and noise normal? Because on my old powerbook, when doing nothing, made no fan noise at all.

I recently purchased the latest iteration of the MBP 2.2 ghz. When plugged into a wall socket (220v here in HK), if I touch the lid I can feel a light electrical current in my hand - similar to the feeling of electric massagers, a light vibrating feeling. I didn't notice this while plugged in in the States (though I bought the comp here in HK). It doesn't hurt, but is this normal, or something I should be concerned about?

Lately my year old macbook has been getting very hot when I watch videos on Safari. If I pause the video it cools down fairly quickly but this never used to happen. I looked at the CPU usage using Activity Monitor while this was happening and Safari was consistently around 100. Also, when I am on the dashboard CPU usage of inoRT jumps to over 150%. This does not seem normal.
