I'm getting bored of the default apple screensavers so I was wondering which screensavers others use. If you wish to cooperate, please leave a link to the download of your screensaver.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI noticed that in Safari (5.1.7) (I'm guessing thats the latest) there are icons for your favorites. Most people said they have them on all of their book marks, but I only have them in bookmark folders. I've tried what I can find on the web to get rid of them, with no working way.
Info:Safari , Mac OS X (10.7.4)
Command -drag to trash worked in earlier OS X versions but in this case the item (a folder) just pops back into the list.

I asked earlier how to remove the favorites bar from my iMac. Had a single reply which went on about Safari 10. ?. Ive checked my computer and it says I'm on Maverick 7.0.6 so the response means nothing to me.
View 5 Replies View RelatedChoice is good, I chose Apple for their reliable and stable computers and have done so ever since they have had them. So post your favorite add-ons and even themes, or even mention one's you were not happy with. There are thousands of them. So it would be good to have a idea what other Mac users have found to be very useful. Perhaps Apple will adopt a few of those features for future Safari versions. (disclaimer: no connection to any browser maker or any of the plug-ins I mention) Firefox: SmoothWheel - what this does is makes scrolling very smooth and slick. Split Browser - allows one to split the window into many configurations, mainly to compare two sites without having to open another window. NoSquint - remembers the zoom level of sites that you set FastestFox - does a lot of things, but my favorite is how it pages all of Google's search results on one page, so one can just keep on scrolling...and scrolling...FlagFox - displays the country flag of the IP of the website where it's hosted in the URL field. So if you think your visiting a .ru (Russia) site it might be hosted the UK or US for example. Morning Coffee - one click loads the sites you want everyday or by the day. WOT - Web of Trust - a rating of sites and links in web email based upon a color code, green is good, red is bad and all types in between.........

Is it possible to keep a folder from a network as a favorite in the Finder Sidebar, even after the networked computer has been restarted? In the course of the week, the folders I place in my favorites remain (we keep our computers on all week), but we shut down on the weekends, so come Monday morning, all of the networked folders are absent from the sidebar. I'm attempting a work-around by creating folders in my user/Home that then have aliases of the respective folders, then placing that in the sidebar, but I'd love to avoid this work-around.Â
I'm on a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 iMac, but the computer I'm trying to remain linked/favorited to is a 2.8 GHz Quad Core tower (both running Yosemite).
I upgraded today to Lion OS and now I can't play my favorite radio stream[1] neither in Safari nor in Firefox. VLC is playing the stream but this isn't so comfortable. Is there something different to Snow Lion in this context?Â

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, been playing with it and I don't know if it translates as well to the laptop world. I love when i use it on the iPhone but it feels a bit 'funky' using it on the trackpad. Maybe it's me, but it just doesn't feel quite right. I am going to give it some more time but I personally may be turning this feature off.

But whenever I do this, my computer shuts off and "saves the session" with a couple percentage of battery life left, so it NEVER fully drains the battery. Is it possible to turn the saving feature off?

View 1 Replies View RelatedNow one of my favorite things about the air is the ability to swipe instead of clicking forwards and backwards. I'd like to try Firefox, however unless I can install some sort of add-on, allowing me to swipe, it's just not going to work for me. My question is, does such an add-on exist?

View 24 Replies View RelatedIn the recent glossy vs. AG discussions, I've not seen anyone else point out one of the coolest features of the silver anti-glare bezel: the laser drilled microholes for the camera light! IMHO, this is too-cool. A now-you-see-it, now-you-don't light which literally appears to come from solid aluminum. Incidentally, it's my opinion that the manufacture of this bezel - including the laser-drilling of these holes - explains a portion of the added $50 cost for the AG. It's a very-cool piece of manufacturing. This is similar to the power/sleep light on the main unibody, but if you look closely at the power light, you can see the holes when unlit. The camera light is absolutely invisible when off.
