View 1 RepliesI can't seem to find it. I delete a file and the menu option isn't there in the trash can.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had Snow Leopard for a while now but recently I realised that there was one feature I didn't seem to have....and that is put away. It just does not show in the right click menu on any of my items in my trash. Option clicking the file also does not show this menu.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just installed Safari 3.2.1 and find that I have no operable Back- Forward browse feature.
The buttons are there but always grayed out as if no previous page existed. Too, when I right click on a web page I no longer get "back" as a default. It comes up "reload" no matter where on the page I click. Finally, when I view History the only link displayed is the page that I am on. To get to a previous page I must select "Earlier Today". I DO NOT have Private Viewing selected.
What gives? This is a primary feature. lacking it makes it very difficult to use the browser.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen browsing using Firefox (Haven't tried other browsers) and using the two finger gesture to scroll, it will stop scrolling, won't go down or up, and the only way to get it unstuck is to wiggle the page slider and then it will work again. Is this a Firefox, OSX, or hardware issue and is there a fix to it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a mid-2009 13 inch mbp and I have been having problems with 2 finger swiping on the trackpad. When I use two finger swipe up/down for scrolling through websites in Safari, it also does Expose as if I am using 4 fingers. This only happens when I try to scroll through a page fast.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI tried to do an import from my old MB to my new MBP (unibody) and I got so much of bloat and crap from the old one, that I just reinstalled OSX on the MBP - which has literally saved me gigs. Here's a problem though: Before I could use 3 fingers on the trackpad to "jump" up and down (the beginning or end) on a webpage, but now I am unable to do that, only left to right (forward/backward) is working. How do I get that old functionality back? And my second question, after I installed osx you get that "welcome animation" which basically says "welcome" in a lot of languages. How do I get that to play again?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIf you all knew about this before then sorry - I just haven't seen any mention of it anywhere but it definitely works. It may only be a program specific thing cos it doesn't work in mail or itunes but in iWork it jumps a page at a time and in firefox it skips to the bottom of the page. I find it very useful when browsing so I thought I'd let you know. You put three fingers down (I use my 3 middle) and just scroll with the outside 2 leaving your middle finger still. It feels a bit awkward at first but once I got used to it it was fine.

View 24 Replies View Relatedif i remember correctly the 4 finger swipe function came out AFTER the 1st generation MBA. But when i looked at the refurbished ones on sale now on Apple site, it's unclear if it includes the 4 fingers or not, or just the previous generation the two finger swipe...
View 12 Replies View RelatedUsing a 7,1 MBP and shortly after updating it, I've been having trouble with my trackpad. Basically any function involving two or more fingers regardless of my settings is not working. Additionally tap to click is non-existent. Using it has become a chore and after searching all over I can't seem to find an answer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently traveled to Europe with a MacBook Pro, and plugged it into the outlet with a travel converter. My understanding is that the brick on the magsafe cable works as a transformer and it is safe to plug into a European outlet. I've never had a problem with other laptops.
Everything worked fine with the machine, except I could always feel an "electric" sensation through my hands when touching the aluminum case. This was especially apparent when running my fingers across the top -- it was as if I could feel an electric current running through the case.
This seemed harmless, and I ran the computer without fail during my time abroad. My question is out of curiosity -- is this sensation normal? What exactly is it?
Can anybody show me a list of the types and how tos on different swipes and motions with your fingers to cascade the windows apart or turn the window into 2?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have search this forum and the web for my answer with no luck. I have a 2007 15" Macbook Pro which has work flawlessly up until now. Yesterday, when I was done using my computer I put it in sleep mode as I usually do. When I went to use it today, I noticed I am no longer able to scroll down on anything using the 2 finger scroll on my trackpad as I usually do. I have since shut down and restarted my computer twice which did not fix the issue. Does anyone know why I can no longer scroll? I haven't downloaded any apps or anything recently that would affect this.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, been playing with it and I don't know if it translates as well to the laptop world. I love when i use it on the iPhone but it feels a bit 'funky' using it on the trackpad. Maybe it's me, but it just doesn't feel quite right. I am going to give it some more time but I personally may be turning this feature off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI want to calibrate my battery once it's fully charged, so then I can discharge it. But whenever I do this, my computer shuts off and "saves the session" with a couple percentage of battery life left, so it NEVER fully drains the battery. Is it possible to turn the saving feature off?
View 2 Replies View Relatedi finally got my High Res Glossy MBP after 4 weeks of waiting...Everything works fine...and NO yellow tint issue...The only problem is 1 small dead pixel towards the bottom right of the screen...Will apple do an exchange on CTO machines with only 1 dead pixel? Is it even worth doing the exchange? After reading these forums i see that a lot of other users have been complaining about all types of problems...Yellow tint, wifi problems, over heating...etcshould I consider myself lucky? And just be happy that its only 1 small pixel?
View 24 Replies View RelatedNow one of my favorite things about the air is the ability to swipe instead of clicking forwards and backwards. I'd like to try Firefox, however unless I can install some sort of add-on, allowing me to swipe, it's just not going to work for me. My question is, does such an add-on exist?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I'm trying to see if a lot of people use the dock hiding or Magnification feature or not! If so, why do you guys use it? Also what model of the mac do you guys use? [to see if a correlation exists between screen size and hiding, Magnification is just for aesthetics].
View 24 Replies View RelatedIn the recent glossy vs. AG discussions, I've not seen anyone else point out one of the coolest features of the silver anti-glare bezel: the laser drilled microholes for the camera light! IMHO, this is too-cool. A now-you-see-it, now-you-don't light which literally appears to come from solid aluminum. Incidentally, it's my opinion that the manufacture of this bezel - including the laser-drilling of these holes - explains a portion of the added $50 cost for the AG. It's a very-cool piece of manufacturing. This is similar to the power/sleep light on the main unibody, but if you look closely at the power light, you can see the holes when unlit. The camera light is absolutely invisible when off.

I could be wrong, but I did not hear anything about Apple revising the Backlit Keyboard on their new MBPs that came out early June. Was this not made public for a reason or just small upgrade that needed no advertising? Or am I totally living on another planet and everyone knew about this? I checked one out for the first time today and.... now, there is a light sensor(next to the cam) to automatically turn the Backlit Keyboard off during daylight when you don't need it - to save battery life. it makes sense, but personally I want the option to always have it off to save battery, no matter the conditions around. I just found a reason to not want a 13" MBP over my uni MB New MBPs Users (June 09 or later) - is there customization with this new feature?
