When I start tunes it always asks me if I want to allow incoming access.When I try and synch to Apple TV it tells me I ned to open port 3689.There are many posts on support forums about these issue with previous OS releases

I want to stream music and photos from my Macpro running 10.6.8 to my AppleTV, however, it seemed like the only way I could get it to work was to turn off my Firewall. Is there a way to give my AppleTV access to my Mac without having to turn off the Firewall?

The system firewall forgets the settings that allow connetction for iTunes, World of Warcraft Launcher, Blizzard Downloader, DropBox app. I have to mention that settings are set for this apps in system preferences / firewall.

Every time I open up iTunes that stupid Firewall box asks if I want to allow/deny incoming connections.

I want to upgrade to a apple LED 24" Display or if apple invents a 27" LED one and I want to hook it up to both my MacBookPro 13" And my gaming PC. I know i'll need a KVM but need assurance it will work with all the converters. Can the 3 Apple cables be split up, video, Power ,and usb as I will use Power and USB on the Laptop, I'll need to go from display port to dvi, then dvi to to the KVM video switch box (Whats the TREDNET TK207K KVM switch like) Then from one of then dvi to dvi on my gaming pc and on the other dvi port all the way upto my macbook pro mini display port. Can it be done because I know too many converters will not work

I left the 2 second spaces which was the default, but my songs are cutoff by 1 or 2 seconds before the end.
Does this have to do with the 2 second I used?
Would someone be so kind and explain these options? I tried to google it by no answer.
Maybe this is simple, but I've searched and cannot find an answer. How can i make all my playlists show the same view options? I want, for example, bit rate and sample rate shown on all playlists - but some have them and some don't.I'd also like whatever options I choose to be in the same order left to right, and new playlists to default to my arrangement.

We have 2 computers with separate libraries that use the files on this network drive. Each computer has its own set of playlists, podcast subscriptions, and devices (ipods and iphones) that attach to it. iTunes is playing and I hit the play/pause key (F8) the entire keyboard will go dark, but only if I'm pausing. it doesn't do it when I'm hitting the button to resume a song, only when I'm using it to pause one. the backlight sometimes takes minutes to come back on, at random, and sometimes it doesn't and I just have to turn it back on myself.

I have an iBook G4 that runs on OS X. Today, my software update box popped up, and I downloaded the new version of itunes. It worked. Then the other update didn't finish. I'm not sure if that's connected. Now, my itunes won't open. When I first tried, nothing would happen. So I restarted the computer, but it wouldn't full restart (stuck on the box with an apple, acting like it was starting up but never did). So I did an archive install with my discs. That worked. But now when I try to open itunes, a box pops up and says that "you cannot use this application with this version of OS X." What?? I feel tricked and panicky. What can I do?
