I have used an ibook with 10.4.11 for several years, but only for basic functions.
I am wondering if there is any way to stream my music from itunes on my imac over wifi to listen to it on my iphone. I like to listen to music with headphones as I work around the house, but the phone doesnt hold as many files as the imac.

I had selected a whole bunch of music from my iTunes to sync onto my iPhone using my USB cable. Now I've signed up for iTunes Match and none of that music is on my iPhone anymore except by streaming. How do I get those tunes and podcasts back on my iPhone so I can listen to them when streaming is not available (like downstairs in my gym where there's no signal) WHILE ALSO being able to access the other non-sync'd tunes if I want whenever I've got a good signal. I spent some time choosing which tunes to keep on my iPhone and which not to sync.

How do I only have photos from my iphone stream to my iMac? I just downloaded from my digital camera close to a 1,000 pictures from my vacation on to my iMac and they all streamed to my iPhone! I don't want all those pictures on my phone. Is there a way to only have the photo stream work in one direction?

I have Iphoto 09 version 8.1.2 so I assume I would need to upgrade my Iphoto on the Mac but is there any way I can import my 400 plus photos in my Iphones photo stream to my Mac. View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded my internet speeds through my ISP to have 50Mbps download and 2Mbps upload. I use my 2TB Time Capsule as a router as it has by far provided the best connectivity than any other router. I run dual network - connect my iPhone 4S through standard network and my iMac through 5GHz network. Since upgrading my speed, I have noticed that my iMac speeds vary greatly, but most of the time I'm struggling to get more than 10Mbps download, however on my iPhone I easily achieve almost 40Mbps. I have tried different browsers, and ensured all other applications are closed and even switched the iMac (2009 i7 quad core) to the standard network. At that point I noticed a slight increase in speed but it was short lived.
I am stumped on what to try next. Does anyone have ideas? The iMac is a little hot, but nothing that isn't normal so I can't put it down to heat or anything. I recently installed Windows 7 through bootcamp but didn't expect that to impact anything, however it was around a SIMILAR time that I noticed issues, as previously I was getting a consistent connection of 20Mbps before I upgraded.

I have a Snow Leopard and Windows 7 partition. On my Windows 7 partition, I'd like to be able to stream music that I have stored on the OSX one. Is there any way to do this? I'm able to access the files using programs like HFXExplorer, and I'm able to copy music to the Windows partition when I'm on the OSX one, but when I try accessing the OSX partition from the Windows 7 partition, I'm met with empty folders.
Copying all the music is out of the question as there is a great deal of it, for which I just don't have the space for doubles. Is there anyway to simply stream the music from the OSX partition in a music client; winamp specifically?

I have an existing Airport Extreme wireless network. I would like to connect an Airport Express to stream music through the house. Based, on the information that I have read in this forum, I just have to plug the Airport Express into an outlet near my receiver and then I have to run an audio in cable from the airport express to the receiver. That seems simple enough, but I am so confused when I look at the back of my receiver that I don't know where to plug the audio cable into.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have step up Airtunes (Express) and it works fine from computers on the LAN connected via ethernet, but the one PC it doesnt work well on is in the kitchen (wireless with a 90% connection N). The express obviosly has a good connection otherwise it wouldnt work on the other PCs. It seems that the way iTunes works is that if you play music from a shared location (we have a music server) it doesnt stream the music direct from the source to the express, the music travels via the PC with which is controlling the music (which is a bit silly?) Due to this, the Kitchen PC doesnt work well, but if when clicked play, the music went straight from the source to the express it would work fine

View 15 Replies View Relatedmy iPhone will not sync with my iTunes over WiFi - I had my phone stolen and now have a new one and for some reason it won't sync over wifi. I have tried unchecking the box, applying it and checking it again and I've tried renaming my phone too.
Second problem is that I got a load of new music and when I synced it, everything went onto my iPhone except for one album - it was a musical score and I already had a couple of songs on the phone but decided to get the whole album. Everything else has synced fine except this one album.
Finally, when I synced my music to my new phone some of the album artwork does not show up on my phone (it did on my previous phone). When I actually tap on the artist to play the songs, the artwork does show, so it's obviously on the phone. But when there is just a list of artists, some of the artwork doesn't show.

So I have the 2010 White Unibody 2.4Ghz Macbook and the airport works perfectly fine whether I am at home, the library, school, etc. The problem I am having with it is when I am at home and using the airport, and my iPhone is also connected to the same network, the wifi will work on my iPhone but will stop working on my Macbook. It still shows I am connected but it will not connect to any webpages. As soon as I turn off the Wifi on my iPhone and refresh the page on my Macbook, it will load. Is there anything I can do to fix this. By the way, My Toshiba laptop has no problem with using Wifi the same time my iPhone is connected to it, my Macbook is the only one having problems.

There are several PC users in the house able to connect, but my iPhone and MBP are unable to establish a connection. Stranger, is that when I plugged into the ethernet, my laptop was also unable to connect using the "Automatic location." I setup a new location and was able to use ethernet, but wifi is still not working. I used to be able to connect to the network and as far as I know no settings have changed. I've tried resetting the cable box, wireless router and the computers, and I also tried dumping all network related preferences I could find.

My son's iPhone will not log on to our wireless.
I have 2 Macs, an iPad and a PC that all access our home wireless without any problem.
His iPhone did access it also, now after entering the correct key it fails to log on.
Have tried resetting the iPhone twice, checked to make sure the pass key hasn't somehow changed, but nothing works.
The phone logs on to other wifi networks without a hitch.
