I bouth upgrade to the CS5 and got CS6 but it looks taht my iMac 10.5.8 cannot install Ps Cs6 since its software is too old ( 10.5.8). Do I need new computer to do so cause I cannot find upgrade to my computer which is not that old ( I bouth it in Jan 2009). What can I do.

I have downloaded the file ClassicsOnLine.app It was sent to me individually by the firm ClassicOnLine via YouSendIt. The app will open, but will not open one of its own files. When instead I ask that file to open with the app, the app freezes and has to be force quitted. All old versions have been trashed, and there are no traces of any old files that I can find on the computer. It reminds me of the old extension conflicts. I have used Safari and Firefox separately and get the same result from both.

The file system we use is a Windows 2008 File Server, this has worked fine with leopard for years
However I understand that Leopard splits the files into resource forks - and that Lion has dropped support for these files. That particular mac is now on Lion as we upgraded and encountering LOTS of issuesÂ
I unable to open or edit lots of the files as i believe chunks of the files are missing. E.g an .eps file showed as 740KB on leopard - Viewing from a windows PC it was 730kb for the .eps and 10kb for the ._ resource fork.Â
Now that we are on the LION upgrade, we only see the .eps file and it is only 730kb. Information missing is things such as preview (quark), Font data, type of file, version number. we have hundreds! of images, files etc created with leopard and now upgraded to lion they all have become useless!
Rejoining the resource forks and files together so that they are usable on lion

I can't import MXF files shot on a Canon C300 into FCP 10.1.2. I have the Canon plug in for MXF file to FCP import but FCPX still doesn't recognize MXF files when I try to import. Premiere works fine importing MXF on the same computer.Â

I recently shot some footage on a Canon C300 and would like to edit it on FCP 7, problem is it seems since my computer did the upgrade to mavericks I can no longer find the appropriate driver on the Canon site as Mavericks is not supported by Canon for this particular update.Â
After researching I found that mxf files can be transcoded in log and capture but you need the appropriate driver installed. I have looked into third party applications but none of them seem entirely trust worthy and some cost money, which I don't believe I should pay considering I bought a legit copy of FCP at great expense and Apple seems to have forgotten all about it now FCX has been out for a while.Â
