Intel Mac :: Have A Blacked Out Box Wherever Type Into Mail Address?
Jun 1, 2012
I have a blacked out box wherever I have to type such as email, sign in on EBay etc and even here in the question box. I can't actually see what I'm typing!
I opened my safari today and when I was about to type the website that I want to go to I couldn't find the space where you type it at.. I don't know what happened?
I started my computer and found I had no area to type in a web address or a Google search box to do topic searches. The only way I can navigate to sites is through my history, but I cannot navigate to new areas.
Info: MacBook (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8), I am not too computer saavy.
My mail and address book (contacts) were working fine, but now Mail does not recognize the address book. It is still there, but Mail says it is invalid.
The contacts are unique, but each control group appears as many times as there are contacts in the group. Why is that? Can the contact group list be made unique?
I downloaded paint and it automatically downloaded tuneupmymac, after that, whenever i look something up on the internet using chrome safari or firefox, it will always search in bing. also i have a new option in the menu bar called develop, this has never been here before. How to return my computer back to what it was like before.
I have a mailing list and I would like to send emails to everyone on the list in one go, I copied and pasted the list into my email, but can I have this group somewhere so that I can just call it up like an ordinary address from the address book, preferably without having to type every name individualy into the address book. I tried making a group in the address book and pasting the list in without success,if this is possible can some explain how I can acheive this
Using a G4 IBOOK with OS 10.5.8. Recently converted IBOOK from just my wifes computer to both of us so it is now dual usuage with both of us signing in to our respective files/e-mail, etc. My side has a problem never experienced before. My apple mail system address book has all the names the dock address book does but is missing almost 2/3rd of the actual e-mail addressess. I have tried to redo the dock address book in hopes it would change the "internal" mail book, but to no avail. It id difficult to add a recipient to an outgoing e-mail via the dock address instead of the apple mail address book.
This is probably a stupid question, but why isn't there an address contact button that you can click on in a new message from MAIL? Am I missing something here? In all previous versions of the OS one could just do that and a list of contacts popped up and then you could click on one and it would go to the "To" slot. There's got to be an easier way than to open the contact book, find an address, copy it, then place it in the message "To" slot.
I was sent this MSG your email is still coming through malformed, with no email address in the From: There is no reply address appearing in mail I send.
I'm so confused with how to set this up.How do I know which account type my email is? (imap, pop, exchange)Exactly what is my incoming mail server supposed to be. I've seen that others use imap.gmail.com for example, but what am I supposed to use since I have a school email account?
For one, my Mail is extremely slow to type...it would probably take a good 2 minutes for what I just wrote to show up on my message. Another thing, when I click once on my mouse it acts twice...which is really annoying because it opens absolutely everything that I click on. I've adjusted the mouse settings and still, no change. Lastly, it will close boxes for no apparent reason...if I'm viewing a folder, all of a sudden the folder will minimize without me clicking on minimize...I don't know what is going on here or why it's acting up all of a sudden. I use my Mac for work, so it's making it very difficult for me to actually get any work done!
I recently play the game on my Mac, then for some reason, my iMac stop working, so I have to restart my iMac.After I restart my iMac, everything come up normally. Then I found that my keyboard is not working, I try to typed my password, but I can't. Only some key work like enter button, Esc button. I can't type any letter or number!
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I want to upgrade mine software to Lion, but I must first buy the Snow Leopard. I don't know how I can see on my iMac if I all ready have the ''Leopard'' version on it or the ''Tigre''.
I am trying to find out how to get back the space up top of window that appears when I click on safari. I used to be able to type in web addresses and go to places but somehow I lost the space which was just above or just below gray space that show apple, store, mac, ipod etc. I am 78 & sometimes get confused.I know I had my arrow on somewhere near that space and heard a sound and when I looked back at my puter that space was gone.
I've just bought a new iMac. Was very surprised, when I saw, that I can't write my Apple ID on the welcome screen. I can type letters, but when I try to write the "@" symbol, it just makes a loud short sound.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Can't type my Apple ID
How do you type the £ sign on an iMac keyboard? Found an old thread suggesting Option 3. I have the new keyboard and believe the Option key is now the Alt key? Anyway, it doesn't work, I just get #.
When I try to make prints on 2400 from Final Cuts Pro X, I do not see a place to select the kind of paper I want use. I see print or crop size but nothing to select Premium Photo Paper or Matt or any selection at all. I also don't see Quality selection or Preview beforee printing. I had all these things on my PC with Photoshop Elements. How does it work on Mac?
