Just switched to Lion and the size of the dock items are too samall I have increased their size in pref but they are still very small. Also I am missing several dock items from the right side of the dividing line and yet if i mouse over the empty space the captions of the missing icons show and some times I can select the desired action by clicking on the empty space where they previously showed.

I have three user/log in Accounts on my 2006 iMac. Running osx 10.4.11. two accounts work fine. One account, after logging into it, the dock and menu bar is missing. My wall paper appears as normal. my pointer just spins. the only way I can exit is to turn off switch.I did try repairing disk permissions from another account. no effect.

We have an issue with adding a network icon to the dock. Some machines display it fine and others don't.Â
I remember him telling me that using workgroup manager doesn't work so he used to do it another way using a plist file or something along those lines. I've found the file he means but it's a .app file which contains a unix exe?Â
I've googled this problem and there seems to be people doing this with profile manager but we don't have this software. I assumed this could be done with workgroup manager but for some reason it doesn't.Â
The shortcut needs to simply go to \servernameshareÂ
The other complication i'm going to have is that the \servernameshare is being moved to a different location as it's grown so big we have run out of space. The shortcut will need to be edited with the new sharename.Â

I know it's been around for a while but I still didn't find any solution. My problem is that any new icons that appears in my dock are low quality only. Even if it's native Apple app like Pages...

When Safari is active, the menubar and the dock disappears. I have chosen not to show/hide dock in system preferences, and whenever any other program than Safari is active, the dock and menubar stays put. My OS is 10.7 - P.S. I have not maximized the Safari-window.
What could cause this, and how do I get the dock and menubar to stay even when Safari is active?

I've seen several post about this issue, which was caused by either VMware or changing the desktop background. However, neither is the problem for me. I have the default background and I don't even have VMware installed. Here is a screenshot of my active programs:'Â
I have the new MBP with Retina and Lion 10.7.4. I tried loading in safe mode with same problem. I don't use parallels or anything similar either.Â

As of this morning I turned on my 2006 imac running snow leopard and the flashback icon, the fake acrobat reader icon with the circular arrows, is lodged on my dock and is not removable. I ran apple's security update, but, that malware icon is now stuck there. Won't come off. What to do?

Just a couple days ago keep in dock no longer works. Rebooting resets everything. I tried deleting the preferences file for dock, no luck. Same problem. I tried restoring it from an earlier time. No luck. Still does not work. I am using the latest versions of everything. Oh, and yes I use and have tried and checked antivirus programs. No virus. I've tried removing them. Still doesn't work.

I have a 2013 iMac running 10.10.1 and I've noticed this gray bar that appears at the bottom of my screen.Very short...about the width of the standard folder icon. It only appears with the dock and it doesn't matter if the dock is at the bottom or the left/right side of the screen....when the dock disappears, so does the bar. This morning my wireless mouse needed battery replacement. After that, the cursor disappears as I move it away from the dock area. If I move over buttons and am lucky, the proper action will take place but I cannot see the cursor. Sort of like playing Battleship game. Blindly move the mouse and hope I hit something. Although this is new this morning, I've had the same problem in the past but it went away. It seems worse or much more annoying this morning. My wired mouse displays the same problem. I had to borrow my wife's laptop to send this problem. The only program open is Safari.

I'm trying to find a Thunderbolt Dock for External Hard Drive. Â One of these http://www.topbuy.com.au/tbcart/pc/External-SATA-Hard-Drive-Docking-Station-USB- Interface-937p3180.htmÂ
But with Thunderbolt connector instead of USB, Firewire, eSATA etc. Â
Do these exist? Â The only thing I could find close is the Seagate Go Flexi Adapter, but that only works for those drives. Â
