I can't find the download folder except when it pops up on the dock occasionally. I want to find it and anchor it permanently to the dock.

ok so i accidentally drag the download folder into the finder window and then it's gone! it's not in the finder under user. i tried searching for it in finder and it's not there!! it's not in the trash. so i try searching for the contents that were in my download folder, and it's there but the folder is still gone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a download folder on my dock and also on my desktop. When I click it open there is nothing there. However, when I go over to the left hand sidebar of Finder and I click on the Downloads (down arrow) label it brings up all my downloads. I used to have a spring loaded icon on my dock ... now its just empty unless I press the Downloads (down arrow) label in Finder. How can I restore the original download folder that was spring loaded on my dock?

A friend sent me a RAR file, I unpacked it and nothing appeared in the downloads folder where I unpacked it to? After doing this a couple of times as I thought it might be a blip, I deleted everything in the folder. But the folder states the size of it is 4.5gb for 0 items?

I've created a PDF with 15 Pages. I created the PDF using Pages and the document using "Page Layout" not "Word Processing". Since the document was created in Page Layout mode, I can not create anchors inside the document.Â
I'm wondering if this is possible after converting the doc to PDF and using the Preview application.
Ive recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

I accidentally dropped my "Applications Folder" off my Dock when I first got my Mac and it disappeared. When I put it back by dragging the applications folder onto the Dock, instead of assuming the Applications Folder logo, it took on the logo of the first application in my Applications Folder: the Address book. Now, my desktop permanantly has the picture of the Address Book instead of the picture of the Applications Folder.
How do I fix this? ive followed other thread advice with no luck. Is there a way to re-set the Dock? Where does the logo live and how do I get it back there?
I've literally just installed Snow Leopard on my Mac Mini and it went through successfully. Restarted my Mac Mini and it prompted me to log in, so I did and then the wallpaper comes up but no menubar and I can't see the dock when I hover over it. What's happening? I can still move the mouse.
