Intel Mac :: Internet Page Enlarged With Unknown Movement Of Mouse
Feb 26, 2012
While taking a quiz for my collage class I moved the mouse and the screen enlarged. Im not sure what the exact movement of the mouse was. I was unable to submit this quiz because I was unable to scroll side to side. How do I return the screen to the original size? And any idea why I was unable to scroll side to side?
Recently my mouse has started acting up. The movement is sticky, and it is hard to get it to go exactly where I want on the screen. And when it doesn't end up where I want and I try to move it again, it sticks for a nano second before it moves.
2.2GHz Macbook Pro, OS X 10.5. I've only noticed it for the last few months.
Whenever (usually) I do something which causes a high CPU load, my mouse cursor movement because extremely jerky. For some reason, even ejecting my USB hard drive (which takes about 20 seconds from when I tell it to eject to when it actually removes itself from my Desktop) causes my cursor to start going jerky.
Is there a utility that I can use that will allow me to have the same precision and accuracy with a mouse in mac OS as I have in windows? There is a very different feel when using a mouse in OS X, and I just don't like it.
I am using a Mac Book Pro with boot camp. When using windows there is no laggy feeling. This is not a skipping movement just a slight lag that makes it barely noticable but inaccurate, very annoying. I have tried many many mice and different softwares but that FLOATING feeling is always there on the Mac side but not the Windows 7. I have been an avid fan of Mac since way back. Classic never did this. I do not remember early versions of OSX doing it but I may not been aware of it.
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
With Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on my MacBook Pro-13" (mid 2012) I could wake my sleeping Mac by just pushing the mouse or sliding my finger on the trackpad - this is connected to an external monitor mouse is a Logitech wireless (via USB connector to the sensor).I did NOT have to push the spacebar or click the mouse to wake the Mac BUT WITH LION I DO-- I cannot simply slide the mouse a bit this doesn't cause my MBP to wake.Is this something new with LION or do I have to set something to permit easier waking?
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8), Also a Mac SE running 6.0.4 - not upgrading that!
Many times Mission Control will open when I make a fast movement up or down with Magic Mouse. It's happening more and more, and very annoying. Â ais there any way to turn it off? I can't figure out what iscausing it.
My iMac has just gotten all grumpy and weird with me, when attempting to browse anything on the internet (or even trying to access the router via 192.168.1.1) everything is ridiculously slow or just doesn't load. At first the speed went down dramatically - i went on speedtest.net and did a test, the page took a good 5 mins to load and after the test it turned out that i had a speed of 0.2 Mbps (my average speed on a good day is about 2.5 Mbps, shocking i know!) Ive tried turning the computer off and restarting it to no avail. Im doing this on my Macbook Pro which is sat next to the iMac and with a speed test is coming up with speed of about 2.2 Mbps, so its clearly the machine and not the internet/router. Ive tried using Safari, Chrome and Firefox they all provide the same, unusably slow responces.
I have an iMac model identifier 9.1, with Mac OS X v10.5.8 and safari version 5.0.6. All programs are running normally (fast) except safari. When I try to load webpages it takes about 11 seconds to fully load. All other computers in my house are connected to the same internet and running fine. What do I do to make the loading faster?

When in an opened safari page my mouse is freezing i can move it freely around page but can not click on any item. I can not even go to the quit option to get out of page???
I run safari and am browsing then notice the screen at that moment slides a little to the right with a replica behind it then slides back like a flicker. I can't reproduce it. Also my screen will suddenly enlarge (in any application) yet the zoom feature is off in system prefs - universal access - seeing - zoom.

My 27" 2010 iMac has recently began freezing and movement on the display is molasses slow. We have 500 gigabytes available and no applications running and the problems still persist.
I am scanning court documents to be uploaded to an online claim filing system. I am scanning as an image as this is the only way I can get it to save on my macbook. I'm saving the file as a PDF, but when I try to upload the image I get an error that says this is not a PDF file.
I had just installed a new router, a Belkin F6D4230-4, and whenever my sister and I, both MacBook users, attempt to go on certain websites, the page style becomes extremely complicated and ugly to work with, with most pictures not loading. I had tried this with both Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5, but I can't figure out what the problem is and what I have to do to fix it. Here is a photo of what my websites generally look like:

I'm pretty sure it's not my browser's settings, because both of my browsers are on their defaults, but I could definitely be wrong.
MacPro 2008 dual quad core and MacBookPro 2.66 mid 2009 both running OS 10.5.8. The Mac Pro which is hard wired is very very slow and many times will time out before it can load a page or will only load part of the page (lots of little boxes with question marks in them or page loads part of the way and stops)and the wheel just keeps spinning. Sometimes I can hit the x and reload and it will work just fine. Sometimes, this does not help. The MacBook Pro which is wireless behaves the same way.
The Internet Setup: DSL line runs from wall to Surewest (ISP) router, then out to a 5 port Dlink switch. From the switch I run straight into the Mac Pro and to the Airport Express. The Airport Express is about 2.5 years old. It runs b/g while the MacBook Pro has draft N capability. I noticed that since I replaced my older MacBook Pro which was b/g, the new one shows a much stronger signal, which is why I can't understand why its slower.
The Testing: I don't think its my ISP because when I run speedtest.net, I get what I always get, 3mb/s download and I have run that test many, many times over the last few days. The only change has been in the ping. It used to be consistently 16-17 ms and now it varies going as high as 24-26 ms. I have no clue if that is indicative of a problem. Data downloads, including iTunes work just fine. The only other change was that this weekend, I downloaded xmarks (formerly foxmarks) to unify and coordinate my bookmarks across both computers. I have since run the xmarks uninstaller on both machines and deleted the online account. However, it has not made any difference.
Attempted Solutions: I already rebooted the Airport Express and changed the channel from auto to a higher number. No effect. I will reboot the ISP modem tonight. I am also considering uninstalling and reinstalling Safari with the thought that xmarks somehow screwed it up, but I also had the problem in Firefox in which I did not install xmarks. If I pull the Safari bookmark.plst file before I uninstall Safari, I should be able to just drop it in to the fresh install and keep my bookmarks. Someone suggested that I switch to Open DNS. This is beyond my area of expertise so to speak, so I am a little afraid to mess with it.
I haven't been able to get Safari to load any page for hours now. My internet works fine because I can get email and load Firefox but Safari is my primary browser. I have restarted Safari, my wifi and the MacBook but still will not work.
17 inch iMAC with OSX version 10.6.8. How do I delete that an unwanted computername? Spent hours and hours on finding an answer / solution. However, without succes. Under SHARED I see two lines featured as mac servers. One is <iMac van bouko witteveen> the other one is <Time Capsule MAIN>
I have some trouble connecting to my wireless network using my macbook air. The problem is, when ever I go to my homepage which is google it shows the webpage but then if I went to search for something it shows " safari can't open the page" and I went back to my homepage it won't work again! showing safari can;t open the page.
Tried to scan Mac this morning: got message "unknown errors received from scanners". So tried McAfee's Virtual Technician which reported '1.0.0.2 - platform not supported' against Internet Security, Application Protection, Desktop Firewall and Antimalware.
I am using safari as my web browser. Often I find an image displayed on a website is too small for me to see. Is there a way to enlarge the image or to zoom beyond what is embedded into some sites?
My most beloved Kitty girl had to be put down the other day and I SO want her photo as my desktop. I took an old photo of her and cropped it and went to (on Iphoto) share and set desktop and I had it perfect. Then I played around with other photos of her to see if I liked them better and when I came back to her photo and did a set desktop it was WAY too big. I went to the original on my camera and transferred it to I photo - fixed it and did a set desktop but it is way to big.
