Mac OS Lion came out a while ago, and I just assumed my computer updated to that, but when I check my computer details it said that I was only up to Snow Leapord (10.6)?!I try doing the Software Update, and it says no updates are available? Do I have to purchase Lion to update to 10.7.3? Some of my Developer apps won't run on 10.6 that I am on so it is crucial that I update.
I tried to apply the firmware update to the Intel X25-M SSD on my 09 MP yesterday. I'm not currently having any issues with the SSD, but thought I would be proactive about updating. The update failed , and I received the following recommended changes before trying again:- Disable Drive Protection in your BIOS and retry the update- Enable Legacy IDE mode in your BIOS and retry the updateHas anyone out there successfully applied this update on an 09 Mac Pro? If so, were any tweaks needed to make it work?

On my late 2011 imac 21.5" I have been getting a consistent problem since the last OS update. After the screensaver comes on, or, if left to sleep by it's own devices, either my screensaver freezes or the gray screen won't recover from sleep. If I move the cursor with the trackpad it clears the gray screen where the cursor moves around. I can usually clear enough that I can hit the login button and log in after pushing the power button. This is a new phenomenon since the latest OS update.
Just did an Apple update to my iMac. Is it recommended to to a restart after the update has downloaded? By the sounds of the prompt afterwards "The update was done successfully" or something like that, sounds like it is not.

I was installing the latest software update for my iMac (running 10.6.8) and during the update process, the computer display went completely blue. It has been this way for 10 minutes and I hear the drive working intermittently. What happens if I power down? Would I be able to restart the computer successfully?

About 12 hours after installation the screen dimmed with a message that I need to restart the computer. I did so and now after startup I get a message on the screen that the Bluetooth keyboard can't be found. I actually have a hard wired keyboard, not a Bluetooth one, but there is no response to keys on the keyboard and I can't get rid of the screen message, even after a restart.

I am currently running Tiger on my Mac and purchased Snow Leopard thinking I could make this leap. However, I have been informed that I cannot update it because I do not have an Intel core. I have a PowerPC G5. What steps do I need to take? Is there a differnt version of Snow Leopard or do I need to purchase Leopard first?
After installing a bunch of updates; inluding iPhoto, iTunes and iMovie; the culprit seems to be the Thunderbolt thing. After the installation a message came up that none of the updates could be installed. There's only a Restart-Button — that doesn't restart the iMac. The screen has its grey login background and the Mac is stalled. About 10 minutes later I turned off the iMac and then turned it back on again. What lead to an instant Kernel Panic. I then reinstalled Lion from the Recovery HD, installed all the updates; which included two restarts that performed fine. In the final session there are the iPhoto and iMovie updates — and the Thunderbolt thing. Downloading and installing seems to work fine; but then I get the above mentioned message AGAIN.
I just bought a used 2011 iMac that came with 10.6.6 installed.
I am trying to update the system software and these two prompts come up:The update Mac OS X Combined can't be saved.Note: Use of this software is subject to the original Software License Agreement that accompanied the software being updated. A list of Apple SLAs may be found here: [URL] appears like there is a licensing dispute, but wondered what exactly that could be and what I need to do to move forward?

I have a MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 and the latest updates do not want to install. It downloads fine looks like it installs, but end up with a "An Undexpected Error Occurred." I've had this machine for 3 years now and have never encountered an update problem before.
