Getting similar message when I tried opening other Microsoft, Photoshop, palm desktop, and AOL applications. (Since the only application that now opens is Final Draft, perhaps this is sign that my focus needs remain in on screenplays?) Tried downloading and reinstalling my current update version: 10.4.11 It said my system doesn't meet the requirements to update (even though it currently exists as this & I have enough disc memory available.)
OS X :: Bunch Of Shared Drives Or Folders Showed In My Finder Under Shared?
Feb 19, 2010A couple of months ago I was at the head office and connected to the in house Wifi. When I did, a bunch of shared drives or folders showed in my finder under "Shared". I figured no biggie, when I got away from the head office they'd go away. But they didn't. And I can't figure out how to get rid of them.See attached photo.

Mar 5, 2012I have an imac with two time capsules (1TB and 3TB). I am using the 1TB as a shared drive on the network (mac + pc's), and the second one (3TB) as the time machine backup drive. I have not been able to include the shared drive (1TB) in the time machine backup, it only included the imac hard drive. When I purchased the seconf time capsule, I was told this is possible. Can you help with any configuration recomendations to make this work?

How do I get it on my personal web site on my Mac and how do I share that file with other computer users. No one has answered the question yet at support. I am told I have to purchase a web hosting service but isn't there a way to share large files via internet with the Imac software installed on my computer? I don't want to purchase a domain!

I upgraded RAM with 16GB, and wonder if it is possible to allocate more then 512 MB of system memory for shared VRAM. Now system profiler shows 512 MB shared VRAM, the same like it was with 8 GB RAM before the RAM upgrade.

Jun 25, 2012Shared canon usb printer on Mac sends a linefeed but no data. I'm using Bonjour on the PC(Windows 7) and the printer shows up in the list. I can use the printer setup window on the PC which shows if the ink is low etc. When I print I hear the Mac's hard drive operate but it just sends a sheet of paper through without any printing on it.

Mar 22, 2012My office does have a time machine backup system, but I'm pretty sure it only backs up our individual hard drives.This file was only saved to the office Shared server.The weirdest part is that all there is in the trash is a bunch of .ipa files from my last iPhone update.But I didn't delete those.so why are THEY in the trash to begin with, but not the files that were actually deleted?I've been having tons of issues with other stuff since we upgraded to Lion.I've absolutely got to get that file back..

Mar 13, 2012On my late 2011 imac 21.5" I have been getting a consistent problem since the last OS update. After the screensaver comes on, or, if left to sleep by it's own devices, either my screensaver freezes or the gray screen won't recover from sleep. If I move the cursor with the trackpad it clears the gray screen where the cursor moves around. I can usually clear enough that I can hit the login button and log in after pushing the power button. This is a new phenomenon since the latest OS update.

However when I click on Install (whether ot not i open up the details window), the update window disappears, the application icon remains on the dock with the dot uderneath indicating and open application but nothing happens.
