Every time I connect my Canon EOS 5D, my iMac, does not recognize it. What can I do to fix this? I will upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

I use Aperture 3.5 extensively and have updated to, I think, 6.07 which is the latest update pack but the RAW files are still not recognised in Aperture. Am I doing something wrong or when aperture will be updated for this relatively new camera.

recently (the last week or so) my computer has stopped recognizing my digital camera. I have a G5 running in version 10.4.6 and a Fujifilm FinePix 460 camera. I had never had any problems before, usually I would plug in the camera and it would show up in iPhoto and on the desktop right away, but now no matter what I do, it won't connect. The camera says it is connected, but not the computer. I have tried switching around the plugs in the back, and also restarting, etc... but nothing's working...

I cannot get my camera to be recognized by my computer when I plug it in and the computer is normally booted.
* If plug the camera into my MacBook, Image Capture and iPhoto will not recognize it.
* If I plug the SD card into my computer with a card reader, the card will be read just fine.
* The camera works on two other MacBook Pros
* The camera will be found on my MacBook if I boot into Safe Mode
* The camera is found in System Profiler when the computer is normally booted, however, the information provided is limited.
* The camera is found in System Profiler when the computer is Safe Booted, and the camera shows the full amount of information about the camera
When I open the system log and then plug the camera in, I receive the following:

From what I understand, this means that the computer is unable to see that the camera is a Mass Storage Device, thus it times out and is unable to boot it as such.
So I set up my system with the USB Prober and the associated logging file.
I ran the USB Prober on level 7 while I connected the camera.
I know zilch about reading and comprehending any of the results except this snippet really stuck out to me:

Just looking at this particular result, it looks like the computer is unable to identify what exactly USB device is being plugged in.

I recently used a usb CF card reader and mistakenly yanked the cable out before 'ejecting' it.
Now my two trusty canon digital cameras (which I reliably connect directly to the usb ports - no card reader needed) are not recognized.
I have a macbook and I have been using it just fine with my nikon l120 camera up until now. I have a bunch of photos and videos from a trip that I need to upload, today. Now when I plug in my camera...it doesn't show up anywhere on my computer! It does however show that it is charging because it blinks when it is connected.

I start the software installation, when its complete it asks to align the printer heads, this is where the problem arises. My printer is on, but since the printer doesn't connect via USB. First , Downloaded drivers from the Canon website with their support phone person helping set it up. Printer worked wirelessly with the MAC for 2 days. Then gone. Printer no longer on printer list and won't print either by USB or wirelessly. Called Canon support.
He guided me thru reinstalling in different ways, repaired permissions, set up additional acct name, but still the printer in not listed on Printer Browser screen when wireless used (it is listed when USB connected, but cannot print)and not listed at all on Print & Fax screen. I have a network that is made of up a Time capsule as a base station and 3 airport express's used to extend my wifi coverage. It is setup as a roaming network with each express hardwired to the base time capsule. I have a iMac that will not connect to the base station, it will only connect to one of the remote express's. The iMac is next to the base satation. Other mac notebooks, iPhone or iPads all connect to the base station when they are near it. Only my iMac will not connect to it.

My video camera (JVC) has a USB port, when I connect the cord from the video camera to the macbook, it doesn't recognize it. I assume you can connect it to the computer this way since it has a USB port on the cam. The cam has firewire (which mac doesn't) and it charges from a dv connection.
