My video camera (JVC) has a USB port, when I connect the cord from the video camera to the macbook, it doesn't recognize it. I assume you can connect it to the computer this way since it has a USB port on the cam. The cam has firewire (which mac doesn't) and it charges from a dv connection.
How do I connect my video camera (Sony FX1E) using Firewire cable to the MBP firewire port (which I see is Firewire 800). Is there a cable or adaptor for this?
Having this camera on my Mac, I am wondering if there is a program or reliable app that will make it into a video camera. I wanted to see if anyone enters my room at night while I am at work. Is there a program or app out there, one that is reliable?
Info: iMac (27-inch, Late 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
i have mac mini. I connect a video camera to my computer via firewire. i try capture video in fcp and imovi, but firewire not detected. when i open imovy and import video, then show the massage "camera not connected".
Surely this is a pretty standard feature in laptops now, particularly with Apple's obsession with iPhoto etcDoes it come as an option? How do you get your pics off your camera? You have to connect a usb cable from the laptop to the camera?
I know how to put the video's directly FROM the camera onto my mac, but how to i transfer them from my windows to my mac? I tried to put them on a disc, but it shows up as .BOG and other video things that doesn't work on my mac. and it will for sure NOT work on my USB, that would also take forever! any ways that would really work well?
Occasionally my friends and I go to tinychat to do a multi-person video chat. Usually when i click "broadcast" there are many video options and I choose the one that has myself on it. It usually says something like "USB camcorder" or something with USB in it. However; the other night I tried to go on, and it wouldn't let me. I noticed that the video options had gone down to about 4, and the one with myself was called "Built-In iSight." I have never had this option before, so I clicked it. the green light next to my camera flicked on and then off. You couldn't see me. Was it something I did? All the video sharing websites do this; however on my photobooth and ichat it works fine...
Everytime I try to update Quicktime, I get an error message that it cannot update because of error 2738. If I try to uninstall quicktime I get the same message. I cannot use my Contour camera program without updating quicktime.I use Windows 7 system.
When I import a video from my camera to iMovie it lags bad. I have a black MacBook with a 2.4 core 2 duo and 4gb of ram. I know it is not the file on the cam. I am also running iMovie 08. The video I am trying to improt is from a GoPro hero 2 in 1080p. Is that to much for my old Mac? OS 10.7.3
I can't see my buddy on iChat, after he/she accepts my request for video chat. What could be the issue? I just started using iChat for the first time and now have the issue of not being able to see my buddy on video chat. My buddy states the same thing, not being able to see me. I check the "Video" tab on the tool bar, ensuring that all items (microphone, camera, etc.) were enabled, and they all were.
How do I install software for a Sony DCR-SR68 video camera on my 2009 MacBook Pro? The manual that came with the camera says the software cannot be installed on "a Mackintosh", that I should contact Apple.
I have a Mac Book Pro running OS X Lion. I cannot open .mpg video files created by my Panasonic Video camera. Neither iMovie nor Quicktime will open them. Final Cut Pro will not open them either.
- first with one account, then all accounts. I then switched to the desktop, and after a few days, it did the same thing! Is this a virus? I can still get mail on my android phone.Â
I just got a MBP 13" and I want to run some video converting programs while the lid is closed (I don't like the idea of leaving my laptop's screen open at night) but I can't disable sleep mode while the lid is closed.
I know the Mac has a screen recorder, but the problem is it doesn't record onboard audio in addition to the screen recording. I've also tried the audio recording stuff and it just doesn't work.So are there any programs out there that can record audio AND video at the same time, in one file, on the Mac? I've tried the AudioHijack and Audacity stuff, but it's impossible to sync it with the screen-recorded video
I am still trying to find the best easy video camera for my 12 year old grandaughter to use with a mac. she loves i photo and idvd and i movie and is pretty good with all. I just want to get a simple video camera for her to do her own little films.
