Feb 11, 2010I just used Chax to combine my AIM and Facebook accounts in iChat, but I just realized how many of my friends use the stupid mobile feature for AIM, so they all show up in my buddy list when they really arent available. Is there anyway I can hide those mobile accounts in iChat?

Jan 12, 2010So, i have been using entourage for a couple of years and had no problems. I now want to sync my mail and calendars with my new phone (Nokia N97 mini). To do this I believe I have to use Isync, so I have set the sync services preferences in entourage to 'sync events and tasks with ical and .Mac'.
I have a few queries:
1. when I do this my calendar in ical does not represent my calendar in entourage - there are additional events in the ical calendar (it doesnt recognise that these have been deleted from entourage). Ical is also set to sync with mobile me and that has the same additional events as ical.
2. in ical it says I have 2 calendars 'entourage' and 'entourage 2' however 'entourage' doesnt have any events on it. So I deleted it but it just keeps coming back

Oct 19, 2010Something strange seems to be happening with my Mobile Me email and I think it's related to iOS email conversations.When I reply to an email from my iPhone 4, and get a reply the email conversation gets grouped together - all fine.
However when I look at my email in Mail on my MacBook Pro I only ever see the first email I received - none of the replies. In my Sent folder my replies are there.When I look at my email through web mail they are there - it is only in the Mail client they aren't displaying.Has anyone else seen this or know of a fix? It seems to be related to grouping of my emails in iOS from what I can see.
MacBook Pro :: Mobile Internet Not Working
Jan 3, 2010I have a Bell Mobile Internet Stick and my Macbook Pro doesn't recognize it. I have installed The Bell Mobile Connect software numerous times and nothing. it will find the hardware, and when i select connect, it ask for my password. Once my password is entered, a crash report comes up wanting to send it to Apple. On my hackintosh dell mini 10v under the network preferences it has a connection for Novatel CDMA connection, but I cannot get that to come up on my genuine MBP. Any ideas to get this working? Unfortunately this is the only source of internet i have and i am on the netbook to post this. I recently upgraded my hard drive to a 500gb Seagate from my standard 160gb drive the computer came with, I did an install onto the hard drive from my Snow Leopard install disc, and when prompted transferred all of my files from a previous time machine back up.

Dec 31, 2008i am using MAIL in mac. i am using a macbook pro and i want to set up my comast.net mail. i set it up before and now its not working. i changed something and now i have no idea what i am doing.
what is the outgoing and incoming, and the port number and all the settings. i have never had this comcast mail working correctly. when i first set it up i would have to "refresh" the MAIL all the time so it would get my mail. i can not recieve or send mail anymore.

Jul 15, 2010Mail isn't working for me. I'm running osx 10.5.8 and mail 3.6. It won't quit. I have to force quit. Then it won't receive regular mail. It is only receiving junk mail. I have tried deleting the account and adding it again. I have also added another account to see if the problems were still there and they are.

Jan 21, 2009I'm running Mac OS X (Version 10.5.6) on my PowerBook G4.
My Spell Check in Mail (3.5) hasn't been "Checking as I type," even tho that setting is checked. I've done everything from restarting mail to shutting down my system and completely restarting the computer. That normally works when I've had this problem in the past. Not this time.
What's IS happening, is that Mail is doing a red underline in the first word of every new line of my email messages, even when those words are spelled correctly. However, aside from underlining the first word of each line, other misspelled words -- in the body -- are not being caught.

Jan 28, 2009I am running IMAP in all 3 of my macs I access using Mail.app. The first two (call there 1 and 2) macs are running 10.4 and the issue I am having is with the third (call this 3) mac which is running 10.5. Heres the scenario
When I access a new message on computer 1 or 2, it marks it read on that computer, and then marks it read on the other 1 or 2 computer, but it never marks it read on the mac 3. If I access a new message on mac 3, it DOES mark it read on all macs. Is there a setting I have missed with mac 3?

Oct 11, 2009I'm a little confused about how the 'Mail' app on my MBP works with my yahoo account. I thought I had set it up properly; emails appear in my 'Mail' inbox but I am unable to send anything - every time I try, the app requests me to enter my yahoo username and password. I do but it tells me they are incorrect. If the details are incorrect why do they work when I log in to yahoo with a browser? I read somewhere that you have to have a payed for yahoo account to get proper access to it's service. If this is the case it sure isn't obvious, unless I have just been looking in all the wrong places. I am also having trouble importing my yahoo contacts to the mac Address Book app.

Jun 3, 2010My Mail.app has been working fine with my [URL] account for yonks but has now suddenly stopped working. I either get a constant spinner next to the account or a warning sign that says something about bandwidth limits exceeded.
My blackberry gets my email fine, as does Evolution on Ubuntu 10.04. This has been on going for about a week and I've even archived any messages that have lots of pictures in them. Still no luck.
Mail is working with my other google apps accounts for about four different domains but _not_ with my [URL] account.
