View 1 RepliesI have MacBook Pro 13 and I installed lately windows vista ultimate 32bit with bootcamp 2.1, the issue is the mouse pad is too sensitive and fast, even if I move my finger to drag again on the pad it takes it as a double click!

View 5 Replies View RelatedThere are Mac to Mac and Windows to Windows apps to do this (like when you go to the left of your screen the mouse appears on the other computer and you can use it as if you were using that computer). Is there a way to do this using my iMac as the host (running OSX) and the netbook as the client (running Windows XP). It needs to be compatible with the two screens my iMac has hooked up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen using Boot Camp to boot into Windows, what key on a Windows keyboard do you press to move into Windows? I use the option key on my Mac keyboard which gives the alternative of Windows or Snow Leopard.
So I've got windows running fine on my IMac, problem is that for one reason or another, I can't use any mouse or keyboards. On startup, when I hold the option key to choose which OS I want to use they work. When I'm using the Mac OS they work. I've even tried using my microsoft mouse, it doesn't work either. I was told that after installing the operating system I had to insert the mac osx installation disk so that bootcamp could install the drivers (at this point the mouse/keyboard was working). After everything was installed I restarted like I was supposed to, but when windows xp started up again no mouse or keyboard would work. I've tried my wireless apple keyboard, my wired apple keyboard, my wireless apple mouse and my wired apple mouse and nothing works.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 on iMac 20 inch. All went smoothly and after lot of trail and errors, was able to recognize my apple wireless keyboard and mouse. All well till here. Now the problem is that these two devices keeps disconnecting very very often. For mouse, atleast i can move around and after few clicks, it starts working, but keyboard just doesn't work at all. I have to switch off the keyboard and then switch it back on to get it working for few more minutes. Is there a way I can resolve this? I've installed Bluetooth drivers from bootcamp 2.1 update for vista.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am a Windows User but would like to get started with a Mac. I am thinking of getting a Mac Mini. In the Windows world I can share two desktops with a KVM for Monitor (RGB) / Keyboard / Mouse. I don't want to run Windows on the Mac. I prefer to have separate computers. I have considered maybe using Remote Desktop from Windows to the Mac or the other way around. And can you even use a Windows Keyboard and Mouse with a Mac. I assume the Monitor (with DVI) is not a problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 27" imac and I've installed windows 7 64-bit using boot camp. Everything works except the wireless keyboard and mouse, which work for about 20 seconds after starting up and then stop. The bluetooth control panel says they're still connected, but they aren't working, so I'm forced to connect an old wired kb/mouse.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHaving a VERY strange issue with my new 27" iMac. I've tried installing XP twice now and everything works fine through the installation and after XP boot initially without any Apple drivers. Keyboard (wired) and my Magic Mouse work just fine.
Then I install the Apple drivers and after a restart XP does not recognize and keyboard/mouse. Even if I hook up a standard USB windows keyboard and wired mouse, nothing. Booting into Mac OS everything works fine, but nothing in XP, including safe mode.
I have the beta installed on my aluminum MacBook and most things are working okay. I can't get the eject button to work for some reason and I can't get my bluetooth apple keyboard or mighty mouse to connect. Is anyone else having bluetooth issues?

View 24 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to get Windows 7 (under Boot Camp) to recognize my Bluetooth Keyboard and Magic Mouse, and for some reason it's not working. I first tried it with the drivers that come on the disc, and those didn't work (found the mouse/keyboard but wouldn't work), then I tried the Bluetooth update that Apple released, and that didn't work either. The mouse and keyboard show up in the Bluetooth devices as 'Connected', but neither work.
When I restart the computer the mouse/keyboard work at the login screen, but once I login they stop working. If I boot into Mac OS, and then boot back into Windows, they work fully, but after about 5 minutes they stop working. Why is this happening? Did anyone else have this problem?
I am looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse to replace my current USB wired to fulfill the following requirements:
1) Must Work with OS X, Bootcamp and Parallels.
2) Work with Windows XP (currently) and Windows 7 in future.
3) Whatever wireless technology, I only want ONE receiver for both KB and mouse.
4) bluetooth or NANO or other
5) Keyboard MUST be high contrast (example-black keys/white letters). This precludes current Apple keyboard.
6) Would like NOT to mix and match brands.
I'm running Win7 x64 RTM, but I had this problem back when I had Vista too. Macdrive reads and writes to my Mac partition just fine, but for some reason I can't run .exe files that are stored there. Windows gives me some crap about 'windows cannot access *file path here*'. Back when I used XP this wasn't a problem, but for some reason Vista and 7 don't want to run .exe's on my mac partition. For now I've been forced to copy the .exe's from their storage on my Mac drive and paste them to my Windows partition before being able to run them.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 with my snow leopard bootcamp on my MBP yesterday and all seems to be running fine and dandy except when Im in windows, I plug in my external hard drive which is formatted to a mac and it makes the noise to show its been plugged in but nothing shows up. I have installed MacDrive on there so I can read HFS formatted disks but the drive just doesnt appear anywhere. I have plugged the same drive into my dell laptop with windows 7 and it appears on there so its not the drive (plus it shows up fine on the mac under SL anyway).
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Win XP box blew last week and we're looking for a computer replacement. Was thinking of iMac higher end i3 21.5" model (due to physical space limitations). This desktop will be used for typical home computer tasks (re: email, internet, minor photos, minor video, minor music, minor web caming, etc. etc.). NO Games - kids have gamining machines for that. If wondering, we have a Windows HP Laptop as well. We use it for portability. Thus, Windows Only applications (like Tax Program) will be used on it. 95% of the time, this desktop is used by my kids - age 9 - 17. Wife does email on it.
For the folks who recently switched from Windows to Apple (re: iMac or MBP), would you do it again?
Note: I've had my fill of Window/Apple comparisons (re Chev vs BMW comparisons). I'm also an MCSE - so I know the Windows platforms better then many. Just want to know if the you'd pick the iMac/MBP platform again?
I installed Windows 7 using bootcamp and now I want music on both my windows and mac OS's. Now I don't want to have two different music folders, I want both OS's to share the same one. So I linked my windows itunes library folder to my Macintosh HD drive and located my user account, then my music folder. It added all the music files and I can play them, and I don't know yet when I add files if it will add them to both the library's. So I was just wondering if this is safe or something? Since they both have different filesystems FAT and NTFS.

View 24 Replies View RelatedSo my friend was using his MacBook and went to do something else. He came back and the screen was black, he hit space and nothing, tried the trackpad and nothing. He restarted by holding the Power button, and it go to the log-in screen, but he can't type anything, or use the trackpad. He has tired restarting several times and no luck. He also tried an external Keyboard/Mouse and that didn't work.
He did plug in a Flash drive and the light turned on, so the USB ports are at least getting power, but nothing is working.
