I need some help. just recently got a new macbook pro. 15 inch 2.66 i7 model. i partitioned my harddrive and installed windows with bootcamp... windows loads just fine, only issue is my keyboard and track pad are not working. i've tried plugging in keyboards and a mouse via usb and they still dont work. i've started in safe mode and still nothing. has anyone had this issue before? know any way to fix it?

Everything works except the wireless keyboard and mouse, which work for about 20 seconds after starting up and then stop. The bluetooth control panel says they're still connected, but they aren't working, so I'm forced to connect an old wired kb/mouse.

So I've got windows running fine on my IMac, problem is that for one reason or another, I can't use any mouse or keyboards. On startup, when I hold the option key to choose which OS I want to use they work. When I'm using the Mac OS they work. I've even tried using my microsoft mouse, it doesn't work either. I was told that after installing the operating system I had to insert the mac osx installation disk so that bootcamp could install the drivers (at this point the mouse/keyboard was working). After everything was installed I restarted like I was supposed to, but when windows xp started up again no mouse or keyboard would work. I've tried my wireless apple keyboard, my wired apple keyboard, my wireless apple mouse and my wired apple mouse and nothing works.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 on iMac 20 inch. All went smoothly and after lot of trail and errors, was able to recognize my apple wireless keyboard and mouse. All well till here. Now the problem is that these two devices keeps disconnecting very very often. For mouse, atleast i can move around and after few clicks, it starts working, but keyboard just doesn't work at all. I have to switch off the keyboard and then switch it back on to get it working for few more minutes. Is there a way I can resolve this? I've installed Bluetooth drivers from bootcamp 2.1 update for vista.

In the Windows world I can share two desktops with a KVM for Monitor (RGB) / Keyboard / Mouse. I don't want to run Windows on the Mac. I prefer to have separate computers. I have considered maybe using Remote Desktop from Windows to the Mac or the other way around. And can you even use a Windows Keyboard and Mouse with a Mac. I assume the Monitor (with DVI) is not a problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHaving a VERY strange issue with my new 27" iMac. I've tried installing XP twice now and everything works fine through the installation and after XP boot initially without any Apple drivers. Keyboard (wired) and my Magic Mouse work just fine.
Then I install the Apple drivers and after a restart XP does not recognize and keyboard/mouse. Even if I hook up a standard USB windows keyboard and wired mouse, nothing. Booting into Mac OS everything works fine, but nothing in XP, including safe mode.
I successfully installed Win7x64 on my 13" MBP. I got the drivers installed and everything updated. My USB mouse stopped working both in OSX and Win7. Anyone got any ideas? I researched online and I am running the latest bootcamp with the latest drivers. It's strange because prior to installing win7, my USB mouse was working fine on OSX. It's not the port. I tried sticking in a external hdd in both slots and both slots function.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to get Windows 7 (under Boot Camp) to recognize my Bluetooth Keyboard and Magic Mouse, and for some reason it's not working. I first tried it with the drivers that come on the disc, and those didn't work (found the mouse/keyboard but wouldn't work), then I tried the Bluetooth update that Apple released, and that didn't work either. The mouse and keyboard show up in the Bluetooth devices as 'Connected', but neither work.
When I restart the computer the mouse/keyboard work at the login screen, but once I login they stop working. If I boot into Mac OS, and then boot back into Windows, they work fully, but after about 5 minutes they stop working. Why is this happening? Did anyone else have this problem?
I am looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse to replace my current USB wired to fulfill the following requirements:
1) Must Work with OS X, Bootcamp and Parallels.
2) Work with Windows XP (currently) and Windows 7 in future.
3) Whatever wireless technology, I only want ONE receiver for both KB and mouse.

5) Keyboard MUST be high contrast (example-black keys/white letters). This precludes current Apple keyboard.
6) Would like NOT to mix and match brands.
I just installed the RC of Windows 7 on my iMac using Boot Camp. The OS installed fine and all seems fine (WiFi, sound etc.), except for some reason I can't seem to be able to use my (bluetooth) Apple wireless keyboard and mighty mouse. First major issue is that I have to click twice on mostly everything. If im in a different window and want to click on a link in the browser I have to click twice.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOn my MBP, I have tried both XP and Vista and they work well. I have the Bootcamp 2.1 update installed and no missing hardware/etc. Currently, I'm using Vista64, but XP32 had the same problem.
I pair my Logitech MX900 BT mouse using the BT Control Panel applet and it finds the mouse, pops-up "installing drivers" and everything works well. In the "services" tab for the BT device, it shows a general HID mouse/keyboard.
I managed to successfully install windows 7 32 bit on the imac with all drivers. I thought I should post this as I couldn't find any information on how to install the audio drivers, and how to get the magic mouse scrolling functions to work.
Here is how I got everything installed.
For all files you use before installing them you must right click on them then properties then compatibility,
check the run this program in compatibility mode for windows vista service pack 2
For video nvidia
install bootcamp/drivers/nvidia/nvidiagraphicsmobilevista32/setup.exe
For audio
install bootcamp/drivers/cirrus/cirrusaudiovista32.exe
For chipset drivers
install bootcamp/drivers/nvidia/nvidiachipsetvista32/setup.exe
Install all the software/drivers that is in bootcamp/drivers/apple BUT if you are using windows 7
NOT THE FOLLOWING BOOTCAMP.msi because your oamputer will freeze
For the bluetooth download and install the drivers from [URL]
i've been trying to get 64-bit Windows 7 on my iMac by adding drivers one by one. The only driver that's giving me trouble is the keyboard one. The F-Keys do not work like they are supposed to. They are just the Windows default meaning the brightness keys don't change brightness and the sound keys don't change the sound. I have tried both the Leopard BootCamp drivers as well as the Snow Leopard BootCamp drivers and neither have changed how the F-Keys behave. Is there another driver i'm missing that I have to install?
Also i'm using the Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for whatever that's worth.
I have no problem using my wired keyboard to boot into Windows using boot camp. but when I use the Apple Bluetooth keyboard, holding down the option button when powering up does not work. Anyone else have this problem?
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy Apple wireless keyboard works fine in OS X Leopard but when I load up Windows Vista my Keyboard does not work. The mouse wasn't work for awhile either but I managed to pair it and now it works except for the keyboard. I can't get the keyboard to work under Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I've gone into blue tooth settings and added the keyboard, hit properties, installed the drivers but it still won't work. I'm out of options and ready to just purchase a wired keyboard.
