I'm just cautious since I need the software, but don't want to buy the full package with the Mac App store opening soon, where I could buy the individual Apps cheaper. Also, will I be able to simply delete the trial version and the download the full version from the App store as a was of replacement?
I installed a trial of iWork 09 yesterday to get a feel for it, liked it so went out today and purchased the box from my local Apple Store. I know about the whole not needing a serial number now however it is asking me for one since the install on all three applications. I removed the trial and all evidence of it and restarted my macbook before installing the box.
So I used the iWork '09 trial for 30 days now and now I have a box version and I want to simply use the buy function from the trial to upgrade to the full non-trial version. It has: Quote: If you've purchased an iWork '09 box, you'll find the serial number on the Installing iWork '09 booklet. There's only one problem, there's no serial number on the booklet! How do I install using the buy function or do I have to install the full iWork suite again on my computer? Seems kind of silly. If so, do I need to then uninstalling one of my versions of iWork '09? And if so, which one? How do I tell the difference at that point?
Some of you might be wondering and about to comment on the fact that I should have just bought the online version and saved the hassle. The reason why I bought the box is because I could get it for $39 at my girlfriend's campus computer store.
I reinstalled my Mac and I lost iWork '08. I have the serial written down but I don't know where the heck my disc is to install it. This is my 2nd time reinstalling my mac in a few days and the 1st time I did I googled it and found a link to download it. Now when I search google it's not there anymore and I don't know what my exact keywords that I used to find the links were. I have iWork 09 as well but I need '08 to convert my keynotes to be compatible with the '05 version (school uses that.). It's quite stupid that Keynote 09 can only save to be compatible with 08 but not 06 or 05.
Done some searching on my own but haven't found anything... Is there any sort of downloadable trial of Office 2011 out there like Apple does with iWork?
I previously installed a demo of iWork and life but after the trial period uninstalled it. Well I've now bought the licensed copies of each. Upon install and trying to launch iWork or iLife I'm getting prompted for my serial number, and of course the discs do not require a number.Do i have to call Apple or is this a common, easy fix?
My mac with the full version is in the shop and I need to do some work on a project done in InDesign CS3 on another Mac. I'm not having any luck finding a trial version of it anywhere.
In order to install Windows 7 via bootcamp, do you have to use the full version of windows or can you use the upgrade disc to install? I figured I should ask before buying another license as I have an upgrade version of Windows 7 Pro that I don't use. I do own previous versions of Windows (all of them....just like I do Mac OS).
it was suggested to me to download 30 day iworks trial. I have done this last night but to activate it is stating: iwork installer cannot continue while the keuynote, pages or numbers application is open. Quit these applications and then open the installer again.I purchased my applepro and Pages four weeks ago. I am not sure it this means I will lose my purchased Pages.
I recently bought Macbook Pros for my 2 daughters and we took the 30 day iWork trial. At the end of the trial we downloaded a purchased version on to one of the Macbooks and the second one seemed to be able to download it without buying it again which was fine. However, we now have a problem in that both machines have two versions of iWork and we can't work out how to remove the trial version. This would be OK except that we are then having problems printing and saving as it keeps telling us that the trial version has expired and trying to get us to buy it again.
Followed all instructions, trail version detected but after a few minutes the message "cannot uninstall: you are probably not logged in as administrator" Fact is that I AM the administrator, actually I am the only user of this iMac... Can anyone help? I just bought a full boxed business version of Office and I cannot install it before removing the trial version.
I would like to try the FCP but as I downloaded a trial version of it yesterday I was informed, during installing, that I need at least Mavericks to run it. Im on 10.8.5 Mountain Lion (on a 15"MBPR) and do not wish to upgrade OS. Is this possible?
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
I loaded a trial version of MS Office 2007 for a college course. After the fact I remembered I purchased already a full version for my iMac. Once I removed the trial version from my Mac Pro and installed the full version, I continue to get a err message stated "this id doesn't support this version of enterprise". I removed and reinstalled the full version several times with no success. I need (I believe) to install the full Office 2007 for school projects. Or is their a good alternative to ensure all facilitators can view/open, and edit all of my submitted work.
I have been using the downloadable trial version of iWork and have just bought a copy. Am I right in thinking that if you buy a disc rather than a serial number you have to install it and there is no serial number to input on the box? If this is the case do I need to uninstall the trial version before installing the disc copy?
I have a: Macbook Pro running Mac OSX 10.5.8 (Office 2008) Word, Exel, PowerPoint, (Iwork 2009) Numbers, Pages will not save:. I tossed the Word Plist file and that did not work. I have run Virus Barrier X5 and found a about 10 files with Virus 'W97M/Pinky.B' "Quarantened" them and still have the problem.
The problem started -- I think -- when I was doing heavy editing between Numbers and Word. But I don't think it is related (though who knows at this point). Without these programs I'm rendered pretty useless.
props to Stuipdboy1000 on the heads up under Quick Links you can see iWork '11

I need to update iWork on my Mac cos iWork 08 docs don't work on my new iPad. But iWork 09 is about 18 months old now so surely will be updated soon. Would anyone who is learned in the product cycle of Mac apps care to hazard an educated guess on an update?
Is there any talk of an update of iwork '08 during Macworld '09? I am a switcher to Mac as of last month and I really like pages instead of word. I've been using a trial version and I'm going to buy it, but I was wondering if I should stick it out by using google docs in the event that they release iwork '09. By the way, in case any admins are reading this post, why don't they include Apple software in the Buyers Guide?
I thought I saw somewhere that there is a trial of Office 2011. I can't seem to find it anywhere. anyone know where I can get a trial? I want to play with the OUtlook vs. using the web access that I have now before I commit to $180
I just downloaded Photoshop CS4 trial and created an image. I am trying to print it but the selection is grey'd out. If I open an image from my HD it will allow me to select print, but not from something I have created in the trial. Is it as obvious as just being the fact that it is a trial or am I missing something here. I have tried saving it as a .tif and a .psd as those are a couple of the very few saving options available.
Any one else having any trouble when they go to download trials from the adobe site? I get on the site and chose the application I want and click download and then it asks me to log in. I do this but then it grays perpetually has a status circle and won't download. I have tried multiple computer (including Macs and PCs) and nothing will seem to download it. I have even looked for the file on a different site but everything redirects to the Adobe page for downloading.
Now that I have windows on my mac, will a windows version of the full version of photoshop run ok on it? or would I be best getting the mac version?I notice there are alot more windows versions out there for less, (I looked on ebay) than the mac version.I am running parallels desktop 5, on an i7 2010 macbook pro with 4 gb of ram.
