I just received an email form Apple. They are offering a free 30 day trial of iWork '09!!

I'm just cautious since I need the software, but don't want to buy the full package with the Mac App store opening soon, where I could buy the individual Apps cheaper. Also, will I be able to simply delete the trial version and the download the full version from the App store as a was of replacement?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI installed a trial of iWork 09 yesterday to get a feel for it, liked it so went out today and purchased the box from my local Apple Store. I know about the whole not needing a serial number now however it is asking me for one since the install on all three applications. I removed the trial and all evidence of it and restarted my macbook before installing the box.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo I used the iWork '09 trial for 30 days now and now I have a box version and I want to simply use the buy function from the trial to upgrade to the full non-trial version. It has: Quote: If you've purchased an iWork '09 box, you'll find the serial number on the Installing iWork '09 booklet. There's only one problem, there's no serial number on the booklet! How do I install using the buy function or do I have to install the full iWork suite again on my computer? Seems kind of silly. If so, do I need to then uninstalling one of my versions of iWork '09? And if so, which one? How do I tell the difference at that point?
Some of you might be wondering and about to comment on the fact that I should have just bought the online version and saved the hassle. The reason why I bought the box is because I could get it for $39 at my girlfriend's campus computer store.
I would like to try the FCP but as I downloaded a trial version of it yesterday I was informed, during installing, that I need at least Mavericks to run it. Im on 10.8.5 Mountain Lion (on a 15"MBPR) and do not wish to upgrade OS. Is this possible?

it was suggested to me to download 30 day iworks trial. I have done this last night but to activate it is stating: iwork installer cannot continue while the keuynote, pages or numbers application is open. Quit these applications and then open the installer again.I purchased my applepro and Pages four weeks ago. I am not sure it this means I will lose my purchased Pages.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI reinstalled my Mac and I lost iWork '08. I have the serial written down but I don't know where the heck my disc is to install it. This is my 2nd time reinstalling my mac in a few days and the 1st time I did I googled it and found a link to download it. Now when I search google it's not there anymore and I don't know what my exact keywords that I used to find the links were. I have iWork 09 as well but I need '08 to convert my keynotes to be compatible with the '05 version (school uses that.). It's quite stupid that Keynote 09 can only save to be compatible with 08 but not 06 or 05.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought Macbook Pros for my 2 daughters and we took the 30 day iWork trial. At the end of the trial we downloaded a purchased version on to one of the Macbooks and the second one seemed to be able to download it without buying it again which was fine. However, we now have a problem in that both machines have two versions of iWork and we can't work out how to remove the trial version. This would be OK except that we are then having problems printing and saving as it keeps telling us that the trial version has expired and trying to get us to buy it again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI previously installed a demo of iWork and life but after the trial period uninstalled it. Well I've now bought the licensed copies of each. Upon install and trying to launch iWork or iLife I'm getting prompted for my serial number, and of course the discs do not require a number.Do i have to call Apple or is this a common, easy fix?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI loaded a trial version of MS Office 2007 for a college course. After the fact I remembered I purchased already a full version for my iMac. Once I removed the trial version from my Mac Pro and installed the full version, I continue to get a err message stated "this id doesn't support this version of enterprise". I removed and reinstalled the full version several times with no success. I need (I believe) to install the full Office 2007 for school projects. Or is their a good alternative to ensure all facilitators can view/open, and edit all of my submitted work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using the downloadable trial version of iWork and have just bought a copy. Am I right in thinking that if you buy a disc rather than a serial number you have to install it and there is no serial number to input on the box? If this is the case do I need to uninstall the trial version before installing the disc copy?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a mid-2009 Macbook Pro that I recently updated to Mavericks. I did a clean install, so I tried to install iWork '09 from the retail DVD I purchased when I first bought the Macbook Pro. The first time I inserted the disk, it circled for about 30 seconds and then was ejected. The second time, it also circled for about 30 seconds and then my macbook suggested that the dvd was empty. I did not renew Applecare last time I had the chance. Is there a way for me to be able to contact Apple about this problem? As far as I know, the iWork 09 is compatible with Mavericks, so I don't see why I should not be able to install the DVD.

I have upgraded to 10.6.1 and am generally very pleased. The installation was flawless, including the update to 10.6.1. My one complaint is that Preview has lost some functionality. The range of color adjustments I had in 10.5.8 were so good I normally didn't need to use GIMP or other photo editing program.
Specifically, I could adjust the white and black levels as well as brightness and contrast. In Snow Leopard, they seem to have eliminated those two controls. Is it possible to somehow install the old version of Preview in SL? I have the original 10.5 CD, but haven't been able to find a way to only install Preview.

I'm trying to begin indexing for family history work, but whenever I try to install the program, a message comes up saying I need a newer version of Java. I check for system updates and my computer says there are no updates available. Is there some way I can still download this indexing program?

Question - how do I get started? I currently have Vista loaded on my BootCamp partition. Do I launch Vista, and run the Windows7 upgrade installation from Windows? Or do I do this from BootCamp?Note that this is an upgrade disc, not a full/initial install version.

(Office 2008) Word, Exel, PowerPoint, (Iwork 2009) Numbers, Pages will not save:.
I tossed the Word Plist file and that did not work.
I have run Virus Barrier X5 and found a about 10 files with Virus 'W97M/Pinky.B' "Quarantened" them and still have the problem.
The problem started -- I think -- when I was doing heavy editing between Numbers and Word. But I don't think it is related (though who knows at this point). Without these programs I'm rendered pretty useless.
props to Stuipdboy1000 on the heads up
