When you download a movie in the iTunes Store in HD, and you create a iPhone version for it it will "bundle" them (example). I've now got a bunch of movies I've downloaded elsewhere in HD, and when I create a iPhone version for them I now got 2 separate files in my iTunes.
Is there any way to bundle them into one?
I downloaded the ms bundle app on my MacBook and it will not load?

View 24 Replies View RelatedI am getting my first Mac soon and am a photographer. I am of course getting the Adobe design bundle first in order to have Photoshop and other programs of interest to me.
But after that I will be getting Aperture or Lightroom... I can get Lightroom for $98 because I am enrolled in college. But if Aperture is better to some, I would consider it over LR.
I have absolutely had it with this horrible POS program. I don't think they could have made itunes any more complicated for syncing apps and music. The second you want to change something it has to delete everything and resync it. All of a sudden I cant delete my own f**#ing music from my iphone with itunes? I go and right click my library and there is no remove option, nor do I see anywhere else where I can do that. I've had it with this frustrating steaming POS. Everytime I plug in my iphone it has to go through some stupid process that takes forever when all I want to do is sync one f$*(ing song, and if i make any sort of change it has to delete every little thing.

View 3 Replies View Relatedthe only solution i've found that works is i have to re download itunes everytime to make the restore or upgrading my iphone work, i've tryed the recovery mode and the dfu mode itunes just sits there after the final loading process, so my question is is there a way i can get it working back to normal without having to re downloading itunes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since iTunes 7.7 and iPhone 2.0, podcasts aren't syncing properly. I have mine set so only those that's never been listened to before gets synced to the iPhone. Since the updates, this sync has been inconsistent. Sometimes, it behaves as expected, but other times, podcasts that I've listened to on the iPhone retains the blue dot on iTunes after a sync. Thus, the podcast is also labeled "new" again on the iPhone after the sync. Not sure if iTunes 7.7 or the iPhone 2.0 update caused this since they both came out around the same time. iTunes 7.7.1 is installed and still the same inconsistent behavior. Anyone with non touch iPods seeing this? Trying to figure out if it's an iPhone/touch issue or an iTunes issue.

I have an iMac that is my main computer. I download all of my music from iTunes on that computer and update my iPhone through that computer. I also have a MacBook that I use while traveling. Is it possible to sync the iPhone to the MacBook and update the MacBook with whatever is on the iPhone (and not update the iPhone with what is on the MacBook)? The MacBook is not updated (iTunes wise) and I don't want to erase what is on my iPhone. However if I could do the reverse of this then that would be better, that way I can download songs to my iPhone as well as my iPod to update for my vehicle. If this isn't possible, is there any way to somehow get what music is on the iPhone to my iPod so I can play it in my vehicle?

I receive this error every time I tell iTunes to download the updates to my iPhone apps. Funny thing is, I only get the error once, if I click Update All again it goes through without a problem. This has been going on for almost 6 months through multiple versions of iTunes, iOS and a whole new iPhone setup from scratch.

I would then like to delete all the songs from my iTunes, and from my iPhone. *edit* figure'd out how to remove all the songs from my iphone.. just unchecked all songs and sync'd.. now I just need to backup itunes and delete everything from it, then reput what I want back into itunes and resync.. sweet
After which, I would like to rebuild my iTunes library using my mp3's and CD's and basically start from scratch.. so that this time around I can properly name songs/albums/artwork/etc

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I want to sync my iphone and ipad to itunes for mac without erasing everything on these devices. can this be done keeping all my apps, music, folders intact on these devices.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used Macthe Ripper to rip my sons chuggington dvd to my macbook pro, then i used handbrake to convert it, i managed to copy the converted file to my itunes library, but when i symc my iphone 3gs, it says it won't copy the file because it can't be played on my iphone.Several forums mention using the iphone/ipod touch preset when converting in Hnadbrake, now i may be a numpty, but i cant find this preset anywhere?! The closest thing i can see is an apple button/setting.when i selected apple and told it to play again, it said it would overwrite the prev converted verison. It took hours to convert the first time, if I do this, will it really work? Or will I waste another 3 hours?!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI purchased a game (Broken Sword DC) via Steam and the game runs just fine but the icon in the dock and for the .app bundle has a prohibited sign across it - the same kind you see with a Classic (Mac OS 9) application on Leopard or later. As far as I can see the permissions from the get info are OK the only possible clue is in the terminal doing an ls -al I can can see an @ symbol - which I think has something to do with ACLs?
Any ideas how to get rid of the prohibited sign?
I just got a new macbook pro, and am giving my 13-inch Macbook to my mom. It runs Snow Leopard, and I have the install discs, but I don't have the application bundle discs. So rather than restoring the HD, I need to erase all my files.
What system files and such do I have to erase to give it to her clean?
I have an application called AppFresh, which basically scans the apps I have for available updates, then it's supposed to update the ones that are available. However, every time I try to update an app, I get this response: "Download Successful. Installation failed (Bundle ID's don't match)." What does this mean, and how can I fix it? It'd be a handle little app if I could get it to work right.

However, The space used by my sparsebundle is still occupied, and airport utility still lists 60 gb used when there is nothing but my sparsebundle on the drive. I just repaired permissions, nothing changed.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi use my time capsule to do regular backups of a mac pro and a macbook air using time machine. i would like to delete the sparse bundle for the macbook air and start again, but preserve the sparse bundle for the mac pro. when i try to delete the sparse bundle for the macbook air though i get the error message 'the operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items'.
i wonder if anyone could let me know what i need to do to delete the sparse bundle?

I'm creating an AppleScript application bundle that relies on a separate application. I want to add this application to my bundle and then call it via "tell application xyz ... end tell"
So far I have been unable to make AppleScript see this application, except when I gave it the absolute path of where it is located. Obviously, as soon as my application bundle is moved to a different directory this will not work anymore so is not a solution. Tinkering with "path to me" and thus creating the current path to the bundled application also does not work, when saving the script, ScriptEditor tries to find the application and see if the commands I want to tell it exist btu fails and consequently does not save.
I tried putting the application into the Contents, Contents:MacOS, and Contents:Resources folders, all without success.
Not totally clear on how objects are installed in OS X. I'm trying to download SIMBL so I can then get mouse gestures for Safari. I've downloaded and installed SIMBL and I've downloaded SafariGestures. SafariGestures comes in the form of a .bundle and the readme says I need to move the .bundle into my SIMBL plugin folder. Where would I find the SIMBL plugin folder? The readme suggests it should be /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins but I can't see it.

In the Backup folder there is a file 2012-05-12-194014.inProgress. Can I just delete this - and move on?

I have an external disk drive, with which I can easily replace hard disks. Normally, I use my 2TB disk for TM backups but I had to remove it temporarily from my disk drive. After I have reinserted it (everything was fine) and mounted it, TM did not recognize the old backup bundle and failed to backup, because there is not enough disk space available to create a new backup bundle.
When I look at the root directory of my backup volume, I recognize that Finder has lost the sparse bundle bit and my backup is shown as normal directory.
How can resolve that without erasing my disk and creation of a new backup??
I've deleted 6 backups already and am left with three but the size of the file hasn't changed at all. I don't want to delete the whole thing and start over.
The file size now is 330gb which is ridiculous to me that it hasn't changed one bit since i deleted 6 backups.
