OS X V10.7 Lion :: Application Download - Can't Find File
Feb 12, 2012when i download an application i get the message to choose the location which is the macintosh hard drive ( i cant figure out how to select something else) and after it has completed the download i cannot locate where the new file / application is. I have downloaded twice and do not see it.

Dec 7, 2010When ever i quit an app, i swap spaces to the next app I have open. Example, quit safari in space 1, auto jump to mail in space 2, quit that, itunes in space 3. Never seen this before and wondering if its some new feature of a utility I got maybe with an update or something.

Mar 20, 20091) How do I move application windows between spaces from the keyboard? I know I can drag the window to the edge of the window and it'll go to the next space, but I don't like to use the mouse unless it's absolutely required.
2) When I restore a window into the current space, it automatically goes to the space the window originated from. How do I disable this? When I bring a window up from the dock, I want it to open in the space I am currently in.
3) When I open a new application window, it goes to the space where the last application window was located. This is annoying. How do I disable this? I want it to open in the current space, even if I was in another space the last time I had an application open in another space.
OS X V10.7 Lion :: Application Switches Spaces When Opened From Finder
Feb 8, 2012I am using Lion 10.7 , I assigned dreamweaver to desktop1 by choose Options > This Desktop when in desktop1. Then relaunch DW and it correctly opened in desktop 1. Now if i open a file using in finder (which is itself assigned to desktop3) on a file that is default to DW then Dreamweaver moves itself to Desktop3.
I thought the point was that we could assign different applications to different spaces and they would stay that way. Are we saying that if a file is opened from finder its default application will be moved and set up of spaces does not apply ?.

Applications :: Multiple Application Crash After ITunes 10 Download
Nov 28, 2010Ok so two days ago I downloaded iTunes 10. It downloaded, installed, and then asked to restart. All was going good, but when the computer came back on and I went to open iTunes, it would crash before even opening.
So I thought it was strange, but I kept using my computer like I was before the install, and went to sign on to Skype; crashed. I went to open Safari; flash player crashed. Quicktime, same thing. Chrome and firefox as well.

Sep 28, 2009I'm subscribed to about 10 differet podcasts, and I just realised that there hasn't been a new episode of any of them in a while. I right clicked them all in turn, and chose Update Podcast, and lo and behold, a whole slew of episodes started downloading. For some of them there are even more than 1 episode that hasn't downloaded. Can anyone tell me why iTunes doesn't automatically download new episodes of these subscribed podcasts? iTunes is set to check everyday for new episodes, but simply seems to have not bothered! This has happened a few times before too.
EDIT - From iTunes saying that there are no new episodes of any of my subscribed to podcasts, I've ended up with 20 downloads after manually checking.
OS X :: Unable To Download Anything / DAP Plugin Cannot Find Download Accelerator Plus
Mar 15, 2010Ive recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

Jan 23, 2010Whenever I want to mail a Link to an Internet page, I click on "File" and then choose "mail Link to this page". Mail then opens with the Link included and I then email it to whoever I want. Since yesterday however I noticed that I can no longer do this. Whenever I want to mail a Link I get the following message: "An email message can�t be created to send the Link because Safari can�t find an email application" I tried a restart of the computer, I reset Safari but nothing helps. The problem persists. I checked with Firefox and here I have no problem to mail Links. Only Safari does not seem to be able to recognize that Mail is installed or cannot connect to Mail?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Jun 6, 2012Back on the "other" computer there was an area that all web pages and videos were stored. We could get in there and copy out an item if we needed. I used to know where it was in Leapord but now in Lion I can't find the application support and cache for Sfari or Chrome. I need to look for something in the cache.

OS X :: Applications Automatically Switching Spaces?
Apr 24, 2009I use spaces on my Mac and occasionally I use MS Word in one space and Firefox in another. I will constantly switch between spaces because I'm doing research or something else in Firefox. After a few switches like that, when I switch back to the space Word is in and click on the Word window it sends the document window up to the Firefox space. It also occasionally switches the window back to it's correct space. It's very frustrating. Is there anyway to stop this automatic moving of applications? I've looked in System Preferences under spaces and I've done a quick google search but have returned nothing.
