does anybody know of software that will download a web site if given the path? For instance, I want to download the tutorials of an open source project. But it is online only. If I can download it to my laptop, I can read it while I telecommute on the train.
View 2 RepliesI'm subscribed to about 10 differet podcasts, and I just realised that there hasn't been a new episode of any of them in a while. I right clicked them all in turn, and chose Update Podcast, and lo and behold, a whole slew of episodes started downloading. For some of them there are even more than 1 episode that hasn't downloaded. Can anyone tell me why iTunes doesn't automatically download new episodes of these subscribed podcasts? iTunes is set to check everyday for new episodes, but simply seems to have not bothered! This has happened a few times before too.
EDIT - From iTunes saying that there are no new episodes of any of my subscribed to podcasts, I've ended up with 20 downloads after manually checking.
I managed to get Site2Site VPN working between two different networks/office buildings using the guide from apple.com. One network server/gateway is 192.168.0.1 and the other is 192.168.1.1, everything works, every client can see every client and every client can see every serverSo far so good.But what I can't do is ping from Mac server one (192.168.0.1) to the other mac server on the other network (192.168.1.1) and vice versa. the only solution i've found that works is i have to re download itunes everytime to make the restore or upgrading my iphone work, i've tryed the recovery mode and the dfu mode itunes just sits there after the final loading process, so my question is is there a way i can get it working back to normal without having to re downloading itunes.

In imail when delete an email from any of my mail accounts or the inbox, imail automatically selects the next newest email. I would like it to select the next oldest email. Is there anyway of changing this?
I know this is quite petty! but I'm just used to it working that way in outlook and keep deleting email I want to keep.
If I forward an HTML e-mail manually, it appears the same to the recipient as it does to me, i.e. properly formatted. However, if I forward using a Rule, it appears to get sent as plain text with all the images in the mail as attachments.
why Forwarding should be different when done via a Rule rather than manually? I can't find any settings that may affect this.

When I select a folder in the browser view and hit the download button, it tries to make a zip. If the folder is really large, I get an timeone message in the browser pop-up. If it does finish making the zip and I select download, nothing happens. Â
Is the mobileme site just slammed right now? I'd love to download my files before they go away. BTW, the warning messages for the shutdown went into the spam folder.
Ive recently downloaded a trail for the download accelerator DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) to speed up the download of a world of warcraft patch. Unfortunately, I had to delete this program when I realized that this was causing my computer to overheat due to pushing my computer's abilities through the roof. My computer has not been damaged in anyway, and i have "deleted" the program but when i still continue to try to download something it says that "DAP Plugin cannot find Download accelerator plus"; even thuogh i just deleted everything. so then i try to delete the plugin, but my mac says that "this item cannot be deleted when it is in use" but it really is not.
Can any of you help me to try to delete this plugin so i can start downloading again. After several attempts and techniques I STILL am not able to download anythinh

every time i open a site and click something it will direct me to a new site. this happens everytime without fail.. (on every site)Â also my web cam. I have deleted a load of stuff and randon apps iv have downloaded. i have change some internet setting but still nothing happens. seem to be ever since i down loaded the new update. Â

View 17 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with my iMac in that the second monitor kept flickering black every few seconds. After much pulling out of hair, I managed to sort it by using SwitchResX, creating a new resolution with a slightly different refresh rate.
Well, I've now reinstalled Leopard, and I'm not sure what files SwitchResX modified. I have a mountable backup image of the old installation and I just need to know what files to copy across.
I've copied over Users/Me/Library/Preferences/ByHost/(URL).6881753F-E268-5D65-B162-DE4A346FC4E3.plist
and
I *think* one other one (I cant remember which .plist file it was).
Rebooted and I still have the problem, so I assume I've missed the correct file....
I dont know what settings I used either so can't redo it.
I was wondering exactly how the drag and drop function works. If I drag a file from the desktop to documents, I am assuming it is moved, not copied? If I drag a file from the desktop onto a flash drive, I am assuming it is copied?
Which leads me to: dragging a song from iTunes onto a folder in the desktop and then dragging that folder onto a flash drive. I am assuming the iTunes song will be in the new folder and on the flash drive? I thought there was something weird about having to have the iTunes songs in the iTunes folder?
And finally, if I decided to make an alias folder with songs (let's say it was an artist folder within all the iTunes folders and I made an alias on the desktop), and I dragged that alias folder onto a flash drive, would the flash drive's folder have the real files of the songs?
How do i "Create a Symbolic Link"? I downloaded off apple's website an Automater script by Junecloud, but I can't get it to work!
Can anyone give me easy step by step instructions? I followed that on the Instructions file from Junecloud, I right-click on a folder and go to "Create symbolic Link" but nothing happens.
