Applications ::where To Find Decent SSH Application For Mac
Jun 9, 2009
just looking for a decent command line ssh app for mac, something that can auto log me in and save favorites for example as terminal doesn't really cut the mustard.

I very regularly rip my CD's to MP3's. Problem is often this results in filenames with track1.mp3, track2.mp3 etc without any MP3 info. On pc, I always used Mp3Tag to fix this. What programs are good (and free) for Mac?
I know there is dream weaver out there but I am not that well versed in using yet. I need something that is like Iweb 09 but will work better. It appears that when you create something in Iweb 09 and let's say it's [URL] it will make the home page this: [URL]
It seems like iweb adds on the extra extentension on the end. I also notice that Iweb when you save the program to a server the site takes forever to load and I think it has something to do with the size of the file or site. not sure.
What I like about Iweb is the drag and drop feature with text box and so on. Is there a program out there where I am not paying a monthly service charge to use a program that is loaded on a server? I understand I have hosting fees by the way.
So any programs out there that are mac friendly and has a user friendly interface?
I downloaded a .dmg from this website [URL] and it opened up the apple installer, claimed the instal was succesful, program titled Mac Cinema, but i can't find it in the applications, and don't see it when i search spotlight.
I have lost the password/serial number info for my application software and want to move them to my new MacBook Pro laptop. If I just copy the application files across, they don't work.
Whenever I want to mail a Link to an Internet page, I click on "File" and then choose "mail Link to this page". Mail then opens with the Link included and I then email it to whoever I want. Since yesterday however I noticed that I can no longer do this. Whenever I want to mail a Link I get the following message: "An email message cant be created to send the Link because Safari cant find an email application" I tried a restart of the computer, I reset Safari but nothing helps. The problem persists. I checked with Firefox and here I have no problem to mail Links. Only Safari does not seem to be able to recognize that Mail is installed or cannot connect to Mail? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Back on the "other" computer there was an area that all web pages and videos were stored. We could get in there and copy out an item if we needed. I used to know where it was in Leapord but now in Lion I can't find the application support and cache for Sfari or Chrome. I need to look for something in the cache.Â

I just bought a second-hand macbook air (model 2009, os x leopard) and I can't find the mail application. Maybe the previous owner deleted it or something? If so, how can I get it back?

We have lost our iPhoto application. The icon is still on the desktop, however, it no longer shows up in applications and we can't launch it. How can we restore iPhoto? (Also, we are in China traveling which makes it a bit more complex)
Info: iPhoto '11, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Still have desktop icon
I tried many times serach for the Amzon kindle application but couldnt find it at any time, I couldnt even see the icon of the application. I checked with my friends and none of them had this problem and they all could find the application on the store.
I bought a Macbook off line recently but I cant find my photo book app. I looked everywhere, spotlight, applications, etc., and still cant find it. I have tiger os but no disk. What should I do? Is there something I can purchase? Don't I need photo booth in order to operate my built in camera?
Having trouble accessing the App Store. I don't have the App Store Icon in my dock nor can I find it in the applications folder. I tried installing the Lion 10.7.3 update. If I go to the online Mac App Store in Safari and click on "View in the Mac App Store" button for an app, I get the following error:
It seems that the computer cannot find the App Store application to launch. How do I get the App Store application back?
Info:MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Macbook 4.1, Intel Core 2 Duo
I managed to delete all the addresses from all computers by deleting them in iCloud. When I try to find the address book files in Library>application support, it is not there. I can't even find the library folder under users>username either. Where do I find the proper folder to restore from time machine?
Yesterday, I had to re-format my external hard drive so that it could be "recordable" within Pro Tools, which wasn't a major issue, I just had to move everything from my Lacie drive to another drive, do the format, and then throw it all back on. It took a little while but this also included moving my nearly 60gb itunes library. Now that it is on the newly formatted hard drive, itunes doesn't seem to be able to find the majority of the songs any more. I've tried changing the music folder and a few other things, and there is no way I'm going through and doing the "cant find music - click here to find it" palava. Is anyone aware of a way that you can "mass find" all of the music in any way other than starting the library again and adding all the music (I don't really want to lose all of my play counts and ratings if possible!)
I am looking to replace my piece of junk HP J6450 with a new unit. I want something that has decent B&W scanning with an automatic feeder.I scan documents, receipts, etc. The HP ADF is terrible, pages come through choppy and unreadable.
I consider purchasing the Fujitsu 300M scanner and a small standalone printer.Otherwise Newegg has the Brother MFC-7840W for $209 through end of today.Opinions? I also want to unit to work well with Snow Leopard and Ethernet.
I'm wanting to get a Macbook but was wondering what the performance is like on the lower end one. Just wanted to hear from a few people who use it day to day, how does it perform under heavy programs, or multiple programs open at once? Some specific examples would be great if you have any. Also on a separate note. Does the free ipod offer in the summer run after new ipods are announced?
