you can resize every window using a grid which can be accessed from the top right of the screen, when you can line windows up etc.
I've been burnt a few times downloading NZB files with an end result of an error ."article missing". Is there a program for mac users that can validate the the NZB file before downloading? I know windows has something like this (for example see below)

Can someone recommend me a good exif program for photos. One that merely mouse over the photo, right click with exif info as well as resize function. I'm using Safari.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWell when I bought my Mac I said "O I bet I'll still use Windows a TON for various tasks." So I made a 100GB Partition for Windows. Now I'm realizing how dumb that was because I only boot into Windows once a month now, and I have only used about 10GB of that Windows Partition. So I have about 90GB free on that partition. Back on the OSX disk I only have 3GB free, and I need space. So, can I make the Windows partition smaller, or do I have to completely wipe it?

You can drag your application windows to the edge of the screen and Windows will automatically resize your window to take up half the screen. You can then do it with another window on the other edge and have 2 50/50 windows open. Anyone know of software that will allow me to do this on my Mac?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded this after the instructor mentioned wanting us to use Onenote in class because we'd be able to take the notes when we leave. I asked if it was mac compatible and got the uhhh....
Anyway I searched for a mac compatible freeware equivalent (I hardly want to buy Microsoft office anyway.) This isn't perfect but was doing okay. Until it crashed. All the notes are there but the notebooks were gone. Yet when I typed in the notebook names, some of the notes just popped back into place.
Does anyone know if this is a regular Tomboy bug or if there is a better freeware program? I don't want one only on the internet because my connection at school is unreliable. The main site for this is 'over my head' in technical detail at the moment.
I have downloaded some Iso files which are intended to be programmes, I can burn them to a CD with no problem using disc utility.However, they do not play as intended, When clicking on the cd icon mounted on the desktop, it just displays the contents of the CD and does not launch the program.

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I just recently converted to all Mac. With that being said, I purchased a couple seasons of Mad Men via iTunes.
Now with music, I know you can burn the album to a cd and then import from cd to have a non-drm album. Not knowing, I've come to realize that you can't do this with videos.
I've read that you can backup your iTunes library on DVD, but I really don't want to do this all the time. I have my iTunes library on my ext hdd with a TM partition, but I don't want to rely on it (also my media is going to eventually outgrow that TM partition).
So, with that being said, I'm looking for a program that will re-record (or as others put it DRM stripping) the original untouched purchased video and give me a DRM free copy for backup.
Or, if there are any programs out there or methods of completely backing up iTune's purchased video, then I'm open ears.
I could have sworn this was possible and I just can't remember how to do it. In Windows 7, the OS is able to resize the windows to where it splits the screen between the two open windows equally. I could have sworn OS X is able to do the same thing, but I can't remember. I have a lot of papers and careplans to right. Am I wrong or is this not possible?

I know the Linux version of Wine has a nice little uninstaller, but I can not find it in the Mac version and it's driving me nuts.

I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro, the new unibody ones, and I installed Windows XP, using BootCamp.
I made it a 29 or so GB partition, so it used the FAT32 formatting.
The program I tried to install is the eyeQ speed reading program, and the laptop exceeds every single one of the recommended requirements.
The problem comes when I am attempting to install the program, I keep getting an error message in which it says "This program cannot run on a computer with less than 64 megabytes of ram."
Last time I checked my laptop has 4 GB of ram, and it says the same thing when I checked it while running Windows XP.
My only guess, which I made while typing this, was that I should have formatted the Windows partition using NTSF.
With, say, four Finder windows open, can I automatically make all four windows equally resize to fill the screen?

To get around this I always minimize open application windows before I play, then click them out of the Dock when I've finished. Some apps come out of the Dock as they were before (Safari, Mail) while others expand as if they were in an 800x600 environment (iTunes). How can I get iTunes to behave the same way as Safari and Mail? Why is it expanding with a small window when I minimized it BEFORE launching the game in question?

Running Win 7 Ultimate 64-Bit and OS X 10.6.5. Winclone version is 2.2. I attempted to enlarge my Bootcamp Windows partition (deleted, resized to full, and then resized again with Bootcamp Assistant). I've made several attempts without any success. I have two Winclone images (11/2010 & 1/2011). The latest image doesn't even get started good before I get an error about 2 bad sectors and the one from last year runs all the way through and gives an error at the end. I ran disk repair on the complete partition before rezizing back to bootcamp and it still didn't work. I managed to get a win 7 repair disk to run one time and ran chkdsk on the bootcamp partition that returned no errors. I thought I might be able to install Win 7 fresh and then do a restore from a Windows system image that I have, but I can't get my Windows 7 disk to work when using the Bootcamp Assistant (I get a boot screen with two options (1. & 2. with nothing else visible) at the install point of the process and can't go past there).

I found my Bootcamp partition is too small and will need to be resized eventually (or, rather, games are much much larger than I realized ). But I really don't want to reinstall Windows to accomplish this.

How does the OS resize/rearrange windows when connecting/disconnecting the Macbook Pro from the larger display? I'd imagine it'd have to do something since the resolution on the larger monitor is much greater than the MB screen.
The picture above is evidence of my self-corrupting OS. Those 3 problems are the same every single time I boot my computer. I have done countless re-installs of OS X Lion, even bought a new hard drive and did a clean install. Because of the self-corruption, I cant resize or partition my drive for Windows, with Boot Camp giving me a generic "An error has occurred. Format your disk and re-install Mac OS X" (Partitioning failed so I never wiped).

I tried to download the .iso file (because I know I have to use disk utility and burn it onto a dvd) but when I click to download the .iso file (from the Macbook Pro) it refuses to download and text edit opens up. I have searched everywhere on how to download the .iso file but all I can pull up is how to burn the .iso file onto a dvd. What should I do?
