MacBook Pro :: Program Which Is Good For Downloading Music?
Dec 16, 2009
Just purchased my first mac, iv'e been a pc user for almost 10 yrs and i finally switched to a mac. What programs are good to DL music. On my pc i use to use Lime Wire or Bear Share. Can I use these or does anyone have a better program that is Mac friendly ?
I know the Mac has a screen recorder, but the problem is it doesn't record onboard audio in addition to the screen recording. I've also tried the audio recording stuff and it just doesn't work.So are there any programs out there that can record audio AND video at the same time, in one file, on the Mac? I've tried the AudioHijack and Audacity stuff, but it's impossible to sync it with the screen-recorded video
I have downloaded some Iso files which are intended to be programmes, I can burn them to a CD with no problem using disc utility. However, they do not play as intended, When clicking on the cd icon mounted on the desktop, it just displays the contents of the CD and does not launch the program.Â
I saw this featured in a yahoo segment on streaming music vs. downloading music, etc. I thought it might be Songbird but the interface looks different.
what is the best apple program for online banking + downloading to computer.I am currently using quicken but when I purchase a macbook air I am considering upgrading to something better if there is such a program.
Info: MacBook Pro (15-inch Glossy), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
Hello members just purchased a used iBook G4 for $200. This is my first mac, so things are very confusing for me being that I've only used PC for so many years. The one issue I am having as of now, Lime Wire isn't working. I've read a few different discussion on this topic and I guess it's due to my software...
Machine Name:iBook G4 Machine Model:PowerBook6,5 CPU Type:PowerPC G4 (1.1) Number Of CPUs:1 CPU Speed:1.07 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU):512 KB Memory:1.25 GB Bus Speed:133 MHz Boot ROM Version:4.8.5f0
Hi, so I've been using Blender off and on for about a year and a half and I was thinking about buying a different program. I'd like to keep it under $200 but if its a little over that fine. I was thinking about Silo but I don't really like not having the ability to extrude single vertices and subdivide objects like in Blender. Also if their are any products that have a student discount or something like that for someone in high school that would help too.
When I try downloading music in itunes its says that I have to authorized it and I dont know how to do that, so I can make lyrics videos in my youtube channel.
Info: iPad, iOS 6.1.1, it wont turn on and it wont charge.
I want to use iMovie, but whenever I import my HD image, it makes the quality worse, and the radial gradient looks horrible. Here is the image I'm trying to use: [URL]
here is what it looks like once imported into iMovie '09: [URL]
Is there a plugin for iMovie to fix this or something? I would you Final Cut, but my computer is slow enough, and adding heavy video-editing applications like that would not be good. Especially since I've had to replace my hard drive twice in the past year.
I know I had one at some point since my world of warcraft account was hacked using one. I've since quit the game and removed all WOW content from my computer but I have no idea where the keylogger originated.. I can assume it was within the wow folder in some addon i carelessly added but I cannot be entirely sure so I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of the best way to ensure that other passwords of mine will not be compromised.
i am trying to download some music using torrents, but the download stops every 20 seconds, telling me the startup disk is almost full, but when i check my harddisk, i got like 96 gb free, so is there something wrong with my computer or am i just using a corrupt torrent file or something?
A friend of mine copied some music CDs onto his PC and downloaded them onto a flash drive. He wants to share this music with me - can I download the music from the flash drive onto my new MacBook Pro?

I used to have a program that could convert lots of things (audio, files etc), after a restore I have lost this program, which I didn't use very often so I can't remember its name!
All I know was that the icon had a picture of a camel (?!)
I recently put up an e-commerce site and as part of entering products I can input images in 3 sizes.
1. 100 x 80 which is used for photos put on the main page of the website to be clicked on for further information
2. 200 x 250 to be used for the image in the actual product description
3. 300 x 400 to be used as a larger photo as a pop-up picture if someone wants to see a larger picture.
The pictures can vary in size but unless the variation is small the pictures will all very in size on the main page of my website which will give it a bad appearance.
Unfortunately when I get stock photos many vary in size. I want to know if there's an easy way to resize pictures. The only concerns I have is that making them larger may make them appear stretched or making them smaller may give the opposite appearance. Also, since I am doing this to many pictures I want a solution that is quick and easy, maybe as simple as taking a picture, choosing a new size, and saving it with the change.
I currently have the Adobe Creative Suite 3 with PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Fireworks but am not sure if this does it in an easy way and of course I prefer to use Mac over Windows
I need a semi good photo editing program and Seashore is not adequete enough, and my mac cant handle Photoshop plus I dont got a legal copy. I know the gimp exists but it requires X11 and it ruins the mac experience.
Can anyone suggest something better than unison for usenet? Currently I am using giganews as my usenet and the speeds are pretty crappy to what I get on newsbin for pc.

I need to take a photograph or image and make it a link to a URL! Preview does not work properly with all platforms! CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND AN APP OR PROGRAM WHICH WILL DO THIS, PDF OR OTHER IMAGE FILE IS OK Some type of PDF editor maybe? Ive read descriptions of almost every app in mac app store but the one i found that says it links to the web had terrible reviews and people said it does not work?
IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH AN INTEL BASED IMAC. MY PROBLE IS I GET FREEZES AND BLOCKS ON THE SCREEN FROM TIME TO TIME. IS THIS A HARD DRIVE PROBLEM OR WHAT ?
When i try to download a screensaver the computer tells me i need to choose an application to run the screensaver. Can anyone explain to me what i'm doing wrong. And i also need help downloading Adobe. It wont allow me to install the program.
I downloaded this after the instructor mentioned wanting us to use Onenote in class because we'd be able to take the notes when we leave. I asked if it was mac compatible and got the uhhh.... Anyway I searched for a mac compatible freeware equivalent (I hardly want to buy Microsoft office anyway.) This isn't perfect but was doing okay. Until it crashed. All the notes are there but the notebooks were gone. Yet when I typed in the notebook names, some of the notes just popped back into place.
Does anyone know if this is a regular Tomboy bug or if there is a better freeware program? I don't want one only on the internet because my connection at school is unreliable. The main site for this is 'over my head' in technical detail at the moment.
I am looking for a good FTP client. I have tried several and none give m what i need. Just bought my first iMac, and I'm trying to find a simple free home budget program. I used SimpleD Budget for Windows, and am looking for something similar. Any help would be appreciated!
