Does anyone now how to "Page Down" in MSFT Word for Mac w/ a wireless Apple keyboard or directly on my MBP, both of which do not have the page down button? I looked for keyboard shortcuts, but came up with nothing.
View 8 RepliesI know how to "Page Down" on a Mac keyboard (fn+down arrow). Is there a way to skip to the next page, instead of the command above which only scrolls down so far, and I wind up looking at the bottom of the first page and the top of the second. I'd like to know if there is a command similar to the "Next Page" button in the toolbar on Acrobat so that when you do it, it puts the next page (in it's entirety), front and center in the window. Holding the Option key down and clicking on the Scroll Bar (down) arrow is the closest thing I've found, but Word (being Word) still wants to show me the bottom of the previous page. I don't want to see a 1/4 of the last page and 3/4 of the next page.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been working on a template where I have placed a two column table on the front page, left side being for a graphic for a letterhead, and right side column for text.
My problem is that on the second page, I would like the document to continue on without any table. I would like for the text to flow from the table into regular margin document on the second page. Is there a way to do this?
Basic explanation: I am creating a Word document (letterhead) and want to anchor text on the left side of the page so it does not flow to the next page.
In-depth explanation: I use Word 2008 for a Mac, and the document I'm creating is for an "electronic version" of our letterhead. The idea is to have a template on which workers can type their letter but the graphics/text of the letterhead shell do not move. I've created the header/footers but now need to find a way to lock text on the left side of the page (contains our addresses, contact info, web address, etc.). Again, I don't want these components on this "template" to move text is typed on the page.
I have been trying to get Microshaft word 2008 for Mac to start page numbers only on page 3.
I have a title page, a table of contents, and then the body of my document.
I have created a section at the bottom of the table of contents. Then in the footer, to the next section, I have tried to insert page numbers. BUT it routinely adds page numbers to the bottom of the first section as well. SO I have page 1 on the title page, page 2 on the table of contents; then I have page 1 on the first page and so on.
Is there a way for me to find a page break and replace it with paragraph instead in Word 2008?

The problem we have is with Microsoft Word 2004. In a multi-page document, Word only prints the last page, unless we specifically print out each individual page.
I found a thread that identified a problem printing to HP all-in-one printers. I followed the instructions in the thread and removed everything about HP printers from our Mac. I then re-installed the HP drivers from the MacOS 10.5 install disk.

I need to figure out how to access the logo image that was included in the second section of the header in a template document in Word 2004. Originally, the template was made to have two pages... with the header on each page unique. Now, the template has been changed to one page. When a document is created based on the template and a second page appears because the length of content is forcing a second page, the header on the 2nd page shows up with the one originally designed for the second page. I'd just like to find where this image is 'stored' in Word so that I can change it to something else. How do I do this?

Is there a keyboard command that will take me to the top of the next page in Word 2011 on a MacBook Air? I can creep up and down the existing page using Fn + right/left arrows. I can go to the top and bottom of the file using Fn + Command + left/right arrows. I want to go to the TOP of the next page (Page Down) and googling isn't turning up anything that works.

I run Microsoft Office on my MacBook Pro. I routinely "print" Word documents to .pdf files. My conversions to .pdf are now resulting in two .pdf documents rather than one multipage document. For example, a two page Word document about puppies would be converted Puppies and Puppies.2 rather than just one 2-page .pdf file. A 14-page file just also saved as two separate .pdf files; the first was only one page, and the second contained the other 13 pages. This is a new problem as of tonight; I've never previously had any difficulty. It's quite frustrating, and I can't seem to determine the cause.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm guessing it's connected with my recently updating my MacBook Pro (2.9 GHz Intel Core i7) to OS 10.9.4. Whether I open Word by clicking on a Word document, opening it via Spotlight, or directly clicking the application icon itself, my keyboard is changed from Dvorak to the standard American English keyboard. And as if that weren't irritating enough, if I change the keyboard back to Dvorak, opening another Word document while Word is still open causes it to flip back to American English.

It's not so much because I wanna see the ads, but this page is supposed to work. See the attached picture for clarification. I have tried to reset Safari completely, and I also tried to view the page in FireFox. I also tried to reinstall Adobe Flash player. It doesn't help, it's all the same. My GF has a PC with Windows. On her machine, in Safari it works as it should. But in FireFox on her machine, it's not working (like both browsers on my mac).
