I am trying to figure a way to notify me when I forget to enter data in specific cells, that need to be filled in. I included a screen shot. What I want it to show is basically fill in the whole row in red or another color. When I forgot to input data. Is there a formula?

I want to remove a Safari plug-in. I know how to find the plug-ins that have been installed (Safari > Help > Installed Plug-Ins), but the names of the plug-ins mean nothing to me. View 3 Replies View RelatedIn excel, whenever I try to type in a cell, I must press the first key 10-20 times before it shows up. It doesn't show up delayed, as in it shows up with 20 a's, it just shows one. Once the first key shows I can type anything else in that cell, but when i hit an arrow key or click to go to another cell, I have to hit the first letter 10-20 times again. I have to click 10-20 times to click into a new cell as well. This just started today. I've tried restarting excel a few times, but It didn't help.

Is there a way to have a cell display text, but behind the text is actually a number figure that I can ask Excel to use in calculations? I'll explain what I mean to give you a visual so you'll understand what I'm trying to do. I want to create a monthly budget in an Excel spreadsheet. I'll have one row for each day of the month, and maybe 3 or 4 columns for in which to put expenditures for each day.
Let's say on the 4th of the month I have a Visa bill due, I usually put gas in my car and I pick up some Dry Cleaning. I'd like to be able to type Visa, Gas and Dry Cleaning within the row of cells for the 4th, and have the dollar amounts for those expenditures hidden beneath the text. Then I'd do a summation formula in the last column to tabulate all of the hidden dollar amounts to give me a total for that day. This way, I can see a total expenditure figures for that day (in the summation column) and what the money went to, without having to do the spreadsheet the old-fashioned way of putting the Text in one cell and the dollar figures in an adjoining cell (which in this case wouldn't work in a columnar sense since the text cell would have to be either above the dollar cell, thus making the text cell in the previous day's row...or, putting the text in say, cell B2, and the dollars in row B3, and doing the same for multiple charges per day, which would make for a very wide spreadsheet.
In iWork 08's Pages application, I need a keyboard shortcut to edit the cell contents. Example: current cell contains the text "new client" -- I decide I want it to read "new clients" without typing it all over again. In Excel for Windows, I would hit F2, that would give me a cursor at the end of the word "client" and I was good to go.

Quicktime will play this video, but imovie apparently does not support it. I have found a number of different video apps by searching forums (iskysoft imedia converter, handbreak, mpeg streamclip, applemacsoft video converter) of which only iskysoft imedia converter does what I want to do. Before I switched to Mac, on Windows, when I wanted to revisit songs I most recently added to the folder, I would sort the songs by the Date Modified and it would order the files I placed in the folder by date.
In OSX, however, there must be a slightly different meaning to "Date Modified," as it does not quite sort my songs by the order they were added. It gets some of it right, but there's plenty of files that are out of order--tune "x", which I know was placed in the folder a week ago is actually listed further down the list with songs placed in the folder months ago.
Is there a way to have OSX sort files in order of the date it was placed in a folder? Neither "Date Modified" nor "Date Created" works 100% as I thought it would. Or is the OSX definition of Date Modified/Created slightly different than Windows?
In Microsoft Outlook 2011, hitting "Enter" (the tall, vertical, right-most bottom corner button on my numeric keypad) sometimes (but not always) causes an email to be sent, when I wasn't done typing and simply wanted to do a Return. I want to make sure this never happens again, but I'd like the option of hitting the Enter key to go to the next line - can I somehow redefine the Enter key at the OS level so that pressing it always sends a "Return" code to any software (such as Outlook)?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to make Image Capture forget a device? It must have a cache since it remebers the folder where I save the photos. I want to make it forget my iPhone (4) because it keeps deleting everything I import regardless if I uncheck the box or not. What's weird is it works fine with all our other iDevices (4S, 3, iPad, all latest iOS) and card readers, so it must be something it remebers about my phone.
It do not see anything like this in the menu. Here is the Image Capture stuff in ~/Library just in case someone can point me to the culprit.

Then I found out that by joining the hotel's loyalty program I can get the fastest speed for free, but I can't get back to the login screen. I've gone into Network Prefs > Wifi Network > Advanced, to delete the network name off the list, but even after a restart, my MBP just logs right in at the slow level.
I've deleted all networks from the list and saved it, yet it just logs right back into the slow level. I looked all over Keychain and don't see anything relating to this network anywhere. Everything I try, my computer just keeps logging back into the slow level. The hotel has even deleted my login on their end, and somehow I just get right back into the slow level without entering my room number again. Where is this password and network info stored so I can delete it?

If I change a folder name, while iTunes is working it's okay, it keeps playing the file just fine, but when I close iTunes and re-open it, it forgets the file path and make me find the path manually, then appears to be all right, but why it forgets the path when I close it?
I mean, even if I change the folder name (path) of the song that is actually playing, nothing happens and keep playing all the songs just fine, but if I close forgets all changes...
I've noticed recently that when in Finder, all folders/files have a Modified Date of somewhere in January 2009 or January 2008, regardless of when it was actually modified/created. My clock at the top left-hand corner says Oct 20 though. Any thoughts?
