When making a purchase on the iTunes store, I checked the "remember password for purchases" box. I'd like to disable this. I went into preferences and clicked "reset warnings" and all that, but it still remembers my password when making purchases. Anyone know how to disable this?
View 4 RepliesI have installed an IP-printer on my Mac. To print something from this printer, I have to use an username and password. I wrote in what I thought was my username and password, and selected that my Mac should remember this.
Unfortunately I wrote the wrong username, and now, even though I've deleted the printer several times and added it again, I still can't print anything. The box that I wrote my username and password do not pop up.
So how do I delete the printer and make it forget my username and password?

Can someone please help me figure out why it is that iTunes is now requiring that I enter my iTunes password seemingly every day for any new purchases I make, even though I've checked the checkbox to "remember password". I can't be sure but this behavior either started happening when I upgraded to Snow Leopard, or when I upgraded iTunes to version 9. I know this must have been addressed on these forums somewhere, but I wasn't able to come up with any thing meaningful when I did some searching for the answer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI originally logged in at the free and slow level, entering my room number and last name to confirm. Then I found out that by joining the hotel's loyalty program I can get the fastest speed for free, but I can't get back to the login screen. I've gone into Network Prefs > Wifi Network > Advanced, to delete the network name off the list, but even after a restart, my MBP just logs right in at the slow level.
I've deleted all networks from the list and saved it, yet it just logs right back into the slow level. I looked all over Keychain and don't see anything relating to this network anywhere. Everything I try, my computer just keeps logging back into the slow level. The hotel has even deleted my login on their end, and somehow I just get right back into the slow level without entering my room number again. Where is this password and network info stored so I can delete it?

When I open iTunes, I am asked for a password, TWICE. I don't wish to use automatic downloads at this time, and I don't need to tell my computer that more than once until I change my mind, as opposed to twice every-time I open iTunes.

My Mac Book Pro forgets time, date and network password when battery runs flat. My software is up to date. The computer is about three years, but surely it shouldn't be necessary to change battery every three years?

I've Googled for apps to do this but all of the ones I've found are out of date. I realize there isn't much of a need for this anymore but I've just discovered about 20 tracks in my library are still protected. This means I can't use them in iMovie for the iPhone. Only about half of them are listed in iTunes as having iTunes Plus upgrades so I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest.

My wife's purse was stolen last night so for the last five hours we have been jumping through hoops trying to get that all sorted out. A very long process which I think will be ongoing for some time. We have a clear picture of the thief from a surveillance camera at a local store. Among the other purchases made, was a charge to iTunes.
Is it possible to add a card that is in someone else's name to an existing account? Or, did they have to open a new account in my wife's name? What information does iTunes gather in these cases? Will they be able to provide us any usable info? User name or password? IP address, maybe? Can an IP address lead to a physical address? Would the police even follow up on this stuff? Has anybody been through anything similar, and was Apple/iTunes helpful at all?
If I change a folder name, while iTunes is working it's okay, it keeps playing the file just fine, but when I close iTunes and re-open it, it forgets the file path and make me find the path manually, then appears to be all right, but why it forgets the path when I close it?
I mean, even if I change the folder name (path) of the song that is actually playing, nothing happens and keep playing all the songs just fine, but if I close forgets all changes...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just went through the process of buying an app as a gift to be delivered via email. Typed my personal message to the recipient, confirmed the delivery address. Got the review screen. Then when I clocked to purchase the app, I got a security screen asking me to select 3 security questions and an alternate email address. Got immediate emails from Apple noting the changes to my account. But I never got an email confirming the gift purchase. How do I tell if it went through? The item is not listed in my purchases, but maybe that's by design? Did the security question dialog hijack the purchase process?
(Also checked my credit card website, and it doesn't look like there's a pending charge yet. But I'd hate to purchase this app twice.)

I have a Macbook Pro and a desktop PC with iTunes installed on each with the same account. However, my iTunes purchases are not reflected the same on each computer. For example, my Macbook has two tv seasons of The Wire that does not appear on my PC iTunes. Also, there are a number of apps on my PC that I don't have on my Mac notebook. This is especially annoying as I sync my iPhone 4 most frequently with my desktop.

Saftey is not a big issue i am the only one using the laptop. I still use a keychain password so not just anyone can install and change whatever settings or programs they want i like this just don't want to use a password to log in.
