Jan 15, 2009okay, on my new macbook the iCal displays todays date.On my old powerbook, it just says July 17 is there any way to make it change with the day?

Applications :: Sync ICal With 2 Google Calendars / Using Ical Calibration Tool?
May 7, 2009I just used the ical calibration tool to sync ical up with my google calendar and it works like a charm. I love how i can just click on dates in Mail and add them to my iCal which then pushes i to google calendar for my wife to see...that way i can sneak tennis or a round of golf in and she can't say she didn't know
At any rate-i would like to know if there's a way to pull her cal stuff to my ical. I can see all of her stuff on my google calendar, but i dont have the "right" to add her account to ical. I assume i could just have her enter in her login info - but i would like to know if that's the best way.

Mar 29, 2010Trying to get them to talk to each other - I've input the Google account into iCal preferences, and it shows up fine. But I seem only able to sync one way - if I add an appointment in Google Calendar - then sync - it shows up fine in iCal. But if I add an event in iCal and then sync - it doesn't show up on the Google Calandar.

May 16, 2009I just got a new 1080p display that I'm also using as a secondary monitor. I want to use it as a primary monitor when I'm using my MBP, which I know how to do.
However, the applications need to be resized and positioned when you connect it. Are there any applications that can remember sizing + positioning of applications based on which display is your primary?
It'd be useful to make the display my "docking" station of sorts.

Sep 9, 2010I have been using the album art player thing in the new ITunes and now the album art unknown is really starting to get to me. I have a lot of old music I have been collecting over the years and a lot of the data was either not there or for whatever reason is not there. I am looking for a program to do either an audio scan or something to find all my album art work and information that itunes displays. I have used the ITunes find album artwork but some songs done have the album listed. What do I do from here. I am not going through 4k songs to get them all manually.

Jul 22, 2009Everytime I upload that ical backup file... nothing happens in google calendar. It does nothing in Firefox... and safari I just get 0 was transferred. I just want to bring over my calendar to google. Does anyone know what is going on? Anything I am missing?
OS X :: Won't Work With Ical / Snow Leopard Deleted ICal Appointments
Sep 2, 2009Loaded 10.6 last night and everything appeared to go well. However, when I opened iCal, ALL of my appointments, birthdays, events, etc. had disappeared. Unfortunately I had not backed up iCal before loading SL.
I have good SuperDuper backups of the system and I have Time Machine backups of everything, but I don't see a way to extract the appointment data from those.
OS X :: How Can I Create ICal Events Without Having ICal Open?
Nov 9, 2010I try not to have iCal running because I've got the Dateline app that stays on my desktop. Mousing over that will give me appts and such as I need to have them.
I've found, that opening iCal and messing with the input screen for a new event is kind of cumbersome, and I'm wondering if folks have found a good way to create new iCal events w minimal interaction with iCal itself.
Today 2.5 offers this as a feature, but it's $25. Macworld also had a tip, but running that Automator action opens up iCal in the background.
Are there any other solutions out there?

Mar 31, 2010Okay, not sure if it's the update, or not. But both Mail, and iCal keep crashing. They'll be running fine, then just crash. I removed the Cache folders for both [I read someplace that takes care of it], but it's still happening. I am connecting to an Exchange 2007 Server, so not sure if that has anything to do with it or not? Should I re-create the accounts? Anyone else have this happen?

Sep 1, 2010So I'm working on setting up my new icons(text ones) and I was able to get the whole icon deal working but I can't seem to get the date to stop projecting overtop of the ical icon. When I'm trying to import it, iCal asks me in which calendar but when I click OK, i get the following error:

So, Ical is great for that! but I always forget to check it!!! How do I get it to open at Login? I googled this problem extensively and found a free on-line translator, but it did not work on the file I would like to import. May 17, 2009I'm trying to reset iCal by removing all my existing data, but removing my old calendars etc. seems for some reason impossible. No matter what I remove they still reappear!
Having read other posts I've now tried trashing the following folders:
USERNAME/Library/Application Support/iCal/
and
USERNAME/Library/Caches/Metadata/iCal/
and
USERNAME/Library/Caches/Metadata/com.apple.iCal/
I'm using MacOS 10.4.11
After deleting the above folders and reopening iCal I'm presented with just two calendars ("Home" and "Work") but after around 10 seconds all my old calendars pop up again!
Applications :: ICal Bug On Snow Leopard?
Oct 6, 2009I recently bought a new MacBook Pro with SL.
My iCal is behaing exceptionally weird. I can't resize my screen. If i change from month to week it stops showing some events, every time I hit the "Show To-Do's" Button it doesn't work and alot of other bugs that make it absolutely unusable.
I've tried re-installing it from the SL DVD, upgrading to 10.6.1 (from software update AND apple's download page), and even trying to delete all my calendars info form my library. Nothing worked.
