App Store :: Keep On Receiving A "Hash Mismatch" Message
May 9, 2012
I currently trying to download software and I keep on receiving a "Hash Mismatch" message. Other responses say that there is nothing I can do. Is this really true?
i had to get my screen replaced earlier this year under warranty and ever since then I have been receiving an error message on startup that pops up each time just within 5 minutes or so of logging in, and then lately my lappy has been randomly shutting down The error message states something about some extension vlabkernaladditions.kext not being found and needing to be re-installed or something. I will update this with the exact message on my next startup.Does anybody know anything about this??
My mackbook air keeps telling me that my start up disk is full. I delete items daily but keep receiving the same message. I have found that the problem may be that items are being saved in multiple areas on my computer. I don't know why this is happening and so I don't really know which copies to delete and which to save.It this point I cant even get software updates or compress files since there is not enough space available at this time.
I am trying to verify my new apple id. I have ensured that my email address is correct, and have gotten the notification, both from the Ipad and from a desktop that a verification email has been sent. But I have never received one. I would really like to be able to utilize this for work.
A few weeks ago my computer had lost the connection to the wireless internet. I set it up again and was able to connect to the internet, however since then I've been receiving an error message "Could not find a PPPoE Server." I went back into Preferences and unchecked the PPPoE server option but the error message still pops up.
I have Macbook with Mac OS X 10.6.4. I have 500 gb internal hard drive. I only have 297 gb data in my documents but finder shows that my harddive has 472gb of data and only 28 gb left.
I have an HP C4480 All-In-One printer. Scanning works, but when I try to print, it gives me a "Paper Size Mismatch" error.
I have chosen different paper sizes (A4, etc), tried different OSes, and tried different sized paper. Sometimes the printer works, but rarely.
This was not always the case. The printer is only about 6 months old with my macbook, and began having this problem 2 months ago. The ink is brand new, and there's paper.
The problem might be that the paper size sensor is dirty or broken, and I read somewhere that I can physicall disable/remove this.. or maybe in the software.
I attempted to download software to enable me to transfer lots of photos from my iPhone, but then kept getting this error.I have removed everything I can find to do with the progra and MacFuse but still whenever I plug it in this comes up.
I downloaded the freeBSD isos and burned them to DVD. But, I have to confirm the burn was OK. How can I run an md5 on the actual resulting dvd? I ran the md5 on the images with no problem as seen below:
Using md5sum from macports Justins-MacBook-Pro:SONY8G justin$ md5sum 8.0-RELEASE-ia64-dvd1.iso 6b8df7fb34d5960ecf91a291926a1e6f 8.0-RELEASE-ia64-dvd1.iso
and using the md5 command included with Snow Leopard Justins-MacBook-Pro:SONY8G justin$ md5 -r 8.0-RELEASE-ia64-dvd1.iso 6b8df7fb34d5960ecf91a291926a1e6f 8.0-RELEASE-ia64-dvd1.iso
Obviously both are identical. Now if I try to run md5 or md5sum on the drive this is what I get:
Justins-MacBook-Pro:~ justin$ md5sum /dev/disk2md5sum: /dev/disk2: Not a regular file
I bought my Macbook Pro from my friend but I completely rebooted the system and started off as if the laptop was brand new. But I keep getting this message on a lot of apps from the Mac App Store.
I get an error message when trying to access the mac app store from my apple menu and any browser. I want to upgrade to iMovie '11 from '09. I also want to upgrade from snow leopard to lion.
Every time I open iTunes on my Mac a message comes up asking me if I want to sign in to the iTunes Store. 99.9% of the time I don't but when I delete the message, it reappears every ten seconds or so. I can't see any way of stopping the message from appearing.
use visual c++ 2005 in xp under bootcamp using a macbook. Unfortunately I cannot start to write my code as it begins with a hash key. Is there a way to get a hash key on xp with a macbook keyboard?
I've downloaded a file from a website and want to check the hash to make sure I've got a complete dmg file and that it's not corrupted. Can someone please tell me - IN GREAT DETAIL - how to check the hash? Is that the same as a checksum?
I'm trying to get the hash key on my UK MacBookPro (Lion 10. 7. 4), unfortunately, the standard alt + 3 keyboard shortcut is not working. Whenever I hold down the combination, nothing happens. The same occurs if I was to press alt + 2-7. Oddly I can get the special characters for alt + 1, 8, 9, and 0. I've tried resetting the keyboard, with no avail. When I use the character viewer, the hashtag is above the 3.
when trying to setup account, will not accept my mastercard, even though I have used it all over europe and the us, a us credit card with lithuanian billing address
When I send an email from Mail ( Lion OS Mail) I am unable to store the sent message on the Yahoo server. I have set up my Yahoo email account as a POP account & I do not see the option of “ Store sent message on the server” as in iCloud email. The iCloud email is set up as IMAP.
The app store on my Mac Mini (2.7GHZ I7 running 10.7.4) tells me I have 3 apps that need to be updated. Whenever I try to update them, I get an error message that reads " We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (13). I've gone online and saw that some people were fixing the problem by erasing some kind of hidden cookie. It seems to be somwhere in /library/Cookies file but I don't have a file in my library labeled "cookies". I also saw another post where they tried to delete it in terminal, but that had no effect for me.
I am having difficulty troubleshooting this error. I have attached a section of the /var/log/opendirectoryd.log file while in debug mode. This is a 10.7.3 Open Directory master with no replicas. I put logging into debug mode to try to get to the root of this problem but I am not finding an answer to this issue. I am getting this same error message with multiple users, but they can all log in and function just fine. We are doing Radius auth to OD from our Cisco ASA for VPN connectivity and that works fine as well.

I have found that my hash key stroke should be either option + 3 or ctrl + 3. Neither are giving me a hash key stroke, so I can't setup trends on twitter! Not the end of the world, but slightly annoying none the less!
I tried to download an app from the app store for the first time yesterday - Keynote - onto my MacBook Pro. I don't know the system details? The first time i tried, it said 'installing' for a long time, until I accidentally deleted it from the dock at the bottom of the desktop when trying to look for details. I went back to the app store and tried to install it again, and it has now said "waiting" for the past 24 hours, and the bar under the icon hasn't moved. I am connected to decent speed internet at a University, so don't think that is likely to be the problem.
When I want to REPLY to a message, I do not automatically get a 'send' icon after composing the message. I have to save it as a draft and then send it.
