Went to easy setup and I think I got that right and matching my camera setting (HDV 30p). Not sure what I'm missing.

Final Cut Studio :: Copying MTS File From SD Card To Hard Disk - File Info Cannot Be Read?
Sep 2, 2014I am willing to save on my hard disk the content of a SD card that contains mts files that I can access via AVCHD, BDMV, STREAM.
When I copy the whole SD card to save on my hard disk, I get an error message saying that the copy cannot proceed because one of the file contains information that cannot be read.
I was told on this group, that changing the structure of the AVCHD folder should not be changed. Can I delete the file that contains a bug ? or will I screw up the AVCHD folder ?
Final Cut Studio :: Can Hear Audio But Not See Footage In Viewer Or Canvas
Jul 1, 2014Im working off my laptop with a monitor. My immediate issue is that I have been editing fine this morning and then all of a sudden I could hear the audio for my clips but I can't see the footage in the viewer or the canvas. I can double clip on each clip individually and see what the footage is however. I've shut my computer down a few times and its not fixing itself. Also a lot lately when I sit down to do some editing the footage flickers on one clip and wont proceed to the next clips footage but I can still hear the sound.

Dec 2, 2014I recorded some gameplay footage using Yosemite's Quicktime Movie Recording feature. The audio is there when I play the quicktime, but when I drop it into Final Cut Pro 7, it wants to render the audio. I render it, but the audio is gone. Any way to have it convert the audio?

OS X :: Receiving An Error Message On Startup That Pops Up Each Time Just Within 5 Minutes?
Jan 12, 2011i had to get my screen replaced earlier this year under warranty and ever since then I have been receiving an error message on startup that pops up each time just within 5 minutes or so of logging in, and then lately my lappy has been randomly shutting down The error message states something about some extension vlabkernaladditions.kext not being found and needing to be re-installed or something. I will update this with the exact message on my next startup.Does anybody know anything about this??

Oct 20, 2010I have been using FCP for quite a while now and just recently when I was trying to exporting a SD movie I got the message, "Error: Out of Memory".
Thinking I maybe had to many programs open I restarted the computer. That didn't work, so I shut down again and reset the memory.
Since that didn't work either, I transferred the files to second compute, but got the same message. Finally tracking the problem down I removed the effect "Line Art" and was able to export.
But I would really like to have the effect on the clip, any ideas on what is going on here?

Final Cut Pro X :: Error Message When IPhoto Library Is Not Connected
Jun 24, 2014When starting FCP X, it comes up with an error message that says, that it is unable to connect to my NAS-Server (located at home, not at work). First i thought this is because i have a project linking to some files on the NAS, but later i found out, that FCP X tries to connect to the media of Iphoto, which is located in my home network on a NAS even if there is no project containing any pictures of Iphoto.
The error message continuous to appear even if i click OK. What to do?

Jun 23, 2014I was export timeline xdcam 35 mbs, 720p 50 fps to MP4 720p 50 fps.
When looking video on Mac everything is ok, but, when I copy MP4 file to USB and put directly to LCD there is only video, no audio? Before on G5 I was use matrox compress card, and always MP4 file was ok on LCD. Where is problem?

Sep 27, 2009I just opened a FC project in 6.0 from an XML file for the first time. The project originally came from 6.0.6 and I was happy to see that this kind of reversion was actually possible. Unfortunatly after doing a little work I started getting "general error" messages whenever I tried to save the project or render any transitions.
If I remeber correctly, I opened the XML and was asked to save a new project. I saved the project and started working. I dont remeber if any saves or rendering had worked in the new project before I got the error messages. Maybe none of them worked, I am not sure.

Sep 25, 2008I am having weird problems with Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 and it's functionality with Snow Leopard.
Based on feedback I found online, I am being told to delete the com.apple.FinalCut Preferences and the /User Data folder. Still, I have to do that repeatedly. Whenever I open the Project file externally , FCP jams. Afterwards, it won't start up again.
Also, it is claiming not to recognize an DVCPro HD 1080i60 connection ; although, this is the same camera on my G5 Mac with FCP 5.1.4 and OSX Tiger

OS X :: Entourage Error Message - Could Not Read RGE File
Apr 30, 2008Within the last week, all of our computers have developed a 'bouncing E'! The entourage symbol jumps up and down and demands attention, there is a box saying 'Entourage could not read this .rge file', it never stops, it just comes back every half hour or so. I suspect it has something to do with sharing projects, but we have done nothing differently from normal so can't trace the reason. It's possibly linked to when one person sent an invite to all the others asking them to attend and event but I'm not sure.
It was also suggested it might be because there is a lot (ie up to 10 years in one case!) of email in the in box, but we have been doing some clearing out with no result. I don't know much about macs and am in the dark here, and everyone is blaming me as it was my idea to create a shared diary/contacts list in entourage. Some other forum said to find the corrupted file, but I've no idea where to look or even how to tell that it's corrupt.
OS X :: Weird Error Message While Copying File
Feb 11, 2010I am running 10.6.2 in Late 2008 Alu UMB. I have a Transcend 500 gig external, with NTFS partition of 250 gig. This NTFS partition has .dmg files. Among then, only a few dmg files show up with the usual dmg icon, everything else show up as blank icons, with .dmg extension, as if it were an unknown or unrecognised file. In file info the preview shown is the usual dmg icon and the file size is also right. When i double click, the dmg doesnt mount, infact nothing happens, and when i try to copy it to my internal hard drive, It says "One or more items in xxx.dmg can't be changed because they are in use". So am not able to use those dmg files.
Note: I have enabled native read/write for NTFS by editing the /etc/fstab.
ITunes :: Error Message - Original File Cannot Be Found
Feb 27, 2010When I attempt to songs in itunes on my computer I get an error message that says: "The song < Name of Song Here> could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" All the songs are listed but can not access them.
My OS: Vista
Have tried:
System restore
restoring via back-up
Uninstalling then re-installing iTunes
Rebooting computer
Have approx 1300 songs only 60 are accessible. Songs are not available on my Itouch. Itouch syncs but no songs there. Issue happened on 2/25 after my wife bought a song from iStore.
OS X :: File Sync Error Message - IDisk And Growl
Oct 14, 2009Since adding Growl 1.2 (no problem with earlier versions) I continually get a pop-up error message entitled "iDisk Error" that states "There is a problem syncing the file 'Growl.prefPane'. The destination (iDisk) does not support symlinks. Try compressing the file or folder first." I went to the Growl forum for help and was told that Growl doesn't use symlinks and that therefore the problem must be with MacOSX and/or File Sync or some configuration on my system. I'm using a late 2008 MacBook Pro, with max RAM and MacOSX 10.6.1. My only alternative right now seems to be to uninstall Growl.

- You don’t have permission to save the file “nilpe” in the folder “Användare”.
- To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File > Get Info.
To my knowledge there is no account nilpe on this computer, the account name I use is different.Somehow Aperture has mixed up permissions.(Have run the "Repair Disk Permissions" in Disk Utility.app and restarted, without any effect)(Mac Pro with Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63), start up disc is a SSD and the Aperture Library is on another disk.I have previously imported thousands of images into Aperture, I am at a loss as to why this has suddenly appeared.
