Ever since I've got this iMac on the office, I've got the occasional kernel panics. At first they seemed to redeem themselfs during runtime, but for a while now, they seem to pop up at boot. And I mean, even not getting the Apple logo and it already freezes. I seem to be having this problem only in a frequency of say... once in two months or so? Â
Today I got it again and it even occured two times in a row, third time the system booted up. I would like to know whats up, I figure this must be a hardware issue since the system doesn't even load up. I'm a bit worried about sending this machine for it's warranty, since I won't have a machine for like 3 weeks until it gets back...

I've been attempting to install an ftp browser and I keep getting an error message that says "You need to install a Java runtime, but you are not connected to the internet". I'm trying to install OS X Lion on my 27" iMac.I've erased the HD using Disc Tool in recovery.HD shows no errors.I've tried Internet Recovery (it loads up, but wont start the installation)I've tried creating a recovery usb on another similar iMac, and use it on this. Same error, only differance is it keeps "loading" when installing, but nothing happens. Tried Paragon. Thought it was great for about 30 minutes. Where can I learn more about fnding and installing and using MacFUSE and NTFS3g? New versions of Pargon are said to corrupt files and even with updates there is trouble moving large files. This is forum news on their site. View 15 Replies View RelatedI accidentally updated MacFuse from 2.0.3 to 2.1.5 beta (was checking if there was a new beta version, went to uncheck "Show Beta Version" and stupidly clicked "install" instead). I can't remember if 2.1.5 beta was a "safe" release of MacFuse. I was checking for updates as I am going to rebuild the Windows install on my MBP and am now worried that 2.1.5 might cause issues. Is 2.1.5 beta "stable"? If not, is it possible to downgrade back to 2.0.3? I've read in a few random posts around the internets that say its not a good idea to do this.If I uncheck the "Show Beta Version" box, MacFuse wants to "update" from 2.1.5 to 2.0.3. Guessing that would be a very bad idea?

I have chosen different paper sizes (A4, etc), tried different OSes, and
tried different sized paper. Sometimes the printer works, but rarely.
This was not always the case. The printer is only about 6 months old with my macbook, and began having this problem 2 months ago. The ink is brand new, and there's paper.
The problem might be that the paper size sensor is dirty or broken, and I read somewhere that I can physicall disable/remove
this.. or maybe in the software.

I have also gone into the registry and deleted all references regarding QuickTime. I really don't want to have to reinstall Windows just to be able to install QuickTime.
