App Store :: Deleted Mac Certificates - Application Damaged And Cannot Be Opened
May 24, 2012
I messed around with my certificates in the keychain, because I have troubles with it in xCode. The problem is, I accidentally deleted also certificates for the Mac App Store. Now every app from the Mac App Store says:
"[name]" is damaged and can't be opened.
Delete "[name]" and download it again from the App Store.
Which certificates, keys etc. Do I need and where can I get it? (I have a second Mac activated for the Mac App Store but no backup for this Mac.)
I have a issue with my app store. When I downloaded a free app from the app store and later decided that I do not need it, I just erased it. What I have observed is that the updates for the application are still in the list in the app store. I tried to install the application again, and install the update, but when the new updates came out, it started repeating.
Whenever I try to open a file associated with Preview by double-clicking the file I get the following error message...
If I open Preview first and then open the same file from within Preview it works fine. I've tried going into Info for various filetypes and changing the "Open with:" value to change it to something else then change it back to Preview but that doesn't change the behavior. As you can see in the error message it says "Acorn created this file on August 27, 2014"... what that means. I tried deleting the Acorn app but get the same error message..
Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
Ever since the most recent software update from iPhoto I receive this error message when I try to open iPhoto, "Your photo library is damaged or unreadable and cannot be opened. Please restore from a backup."
Recently after rebooting my computer, three App Store apps that previously worked fine all popped up the message below:
I have re-downloaded them 4 times, and they still do not work. The apps in question are Window Tidy, Converto, and MailTab Pro for Gmail. I have set Gatekeeper to allow apps from anywhere and I've tried using xattr -rc in the Terminal. Â Â Info: MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
Then I tried to connect my IPAD and IPHONE and neither would update because it couldnt find the file or something and then i couldnt even restore. The next day itunes was gone completely: "The iTunes application could not be opened. An unknown error occurred (13014)" And then the next day ie today there is NO DOCK, NO BACKGROUND and NO DESKTOP ICONS! I had to open safari from the top bar that was only there because I have one random application called Garmin ANT that remained open (i never use this application, its a running computer watch thing)
I have just but the latest Macbook Pro installed with Mac OS X v10.7.4. I am alarmed at the many applications that are not compatible. However, iTunes not being able to play an mp3 is a shocking low. Â I am getting the error message in the subject line.
I have accidentally deactivated 'Finder' when I used the 'Force Quit' option. I didn't look before I clicked. I still have the icon in the dock but when I click on it, it says: 'The application Finder can't be opened. -10810.' How can I reactivate it?
Tried to turn off computer and it kept prompting me to force quite various applications. I have since restarted the computer but now am getting this error when trying to open Finder. I have looked through several discussions and unfortunately am not an apple expert so much of what I am reading is foreign to me.I have opened the Terminal and entered a prompt that made all of my desktop docs and finder visable, but as soon as I closed out the Terminal it all disappeared again. Can anyone point me in the right direction - step by step - to get Finder back up and running. To my knowledge all other applications seem to be working as normal.FYI I do have a few extermal items attached to the Mac. (1) extermanl hard drive for the Time Machine, and USB drive.
I shut down my computer and when I turned it on I tried to launch Safari. I got the following message. The application Safari can't be opened. I checked the application in Finder, but could discover anything since it again couldn't launch therefore I couldn't access system preferences. My internet connection is fine. My software is completely up to date. Yosemite 10.10.1.
Info: iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), Operating system 10.10.1
I am using Lion 10.7 , I assigned dreamweaver to desktop1 by choose Options > This Desktop when in desktop1. Then relaunch DW and it correctly opened in desktop 1. Now if i open a file using in finder (which is itself assigned to desktop3) on a file that is default to DW then Dreamweaver moves itself to Desktop3.
I thought the point was that we could assign different applications to different spaces and they would stay that way. Are we saying that if a file is opened from finder its default application will be moved and set up of spaces does not apply ?.
I bought a used mac mini and I was viewng the App Store and wanted to purchase IPhoto app but it was purchase previously and could not update because not associated with my Apple ID. The error message reads I would need to purchase it again My issue I have it the icon for the application just give me a the options to "update" and not purchase. What do I need to do to purchase this app?
I deleted my mac app store on macbook pro.Don't even ask why,I Tryed this combo update thing eh well I opened it clicked the only thing there was to be clicked and...nothing happened
I installed a game called PlaneShift and now want to uninstall it. It does not appear to have an uninstaller. When I try to move the file the client is in, the client itself, or any of the other files in the folder to the trash I get a message that says this cannot be done because the file cannot be deleted. The file stays where it was and nothing happens. The file is not locked nor is the application running. I even downloaded CleanMyMac to delete it which would claim to have done the job yet the folder and everything it it would still remain. Googling it yielded some commands to put in to the terminal to delete it with the root account
Since downloading Os XLion I can nol longer use the above Scanner. "application Photostudio cannot be opened because powerPC applications no longer supported." Are there any fixes?
I checked on the internet, but none of the download links were valid, all expired. I had the whole of Preview on my desktop, instead of an alias, and I accidentally deleted it. So could someone please send me it using an online download link (I don't want to get out my installation disk).
I was on the purchases section of the App Store and accidentally hit the little x and the app got deleted from this section. How do i get it back to download again.
I was attempting to download a 3 GB application from the Mac App Store. I cancelled it as it was slowing down my internet speed, but now I am redownloading it. I am worried that the file might still be on my computer as Launchpad still showed the progress bar even after I closed the App Store application. The file downloaded was close to 1 GB and I can't tell if my Mac automatically deleted the file for me.
I purchased an ap with a monthly charge but have decided that it isnt for me, will the payment be cancelled from me just deleting it from my phone or do I need to contact anybody about it.
I purchased a few Cds from iTunes around 6 months back. I then deleted a lot of music and somehow deleted these Cds from my Library. When I go to Check For Downloads under Store in the iTunes Menu it checks and then assumes all is there. How can I get the music back that I have purchased and download it back into iTunes on my MacBook. I am running iTunes 8.1
