Aperture :: Elements 12 Can't Open Files From 3.5.1 Version

Sep 8, 2014

I just upgraded to Elements 12 from 10 which was previously able to open anything from Aperture 3.5.1 via External Editor.

The directory appears to be okay, since it launches the the program successfully. But I'm just left with a black screen in Elements. I shoot RAW primarily, but jogs don't open either.

Opening files from the desktop works perfectly fine.

OS X V10.7 Lion :: Unable To Open IPhoto, Aperture Or FCE?

Apr 7, 2012

Since a couple of days, I'm unable to open photo applications such as iPhoto, Aperture or FCE. I'm getting the same king of error report as below. I've tried all kind of solutions from the web but still no solution. I wonder if someone would have the missing file (Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreText.framework/Versions/A/CoreText) and could send it to me? The whole folder CoreText.framework is even missing. I have a MacBook Pro 15" mid 2010.

Aperture :: Old Version 3.1.2 Is Not Working After Mac OS X Update

Aug 26, 2014

I have an old version of Aperture (3.1.2) that no longer works on my mac following my update to OSX (10.9.4). I would like to update my Aperture version so that its compatible with OSX but am unable to do so. All the aperture downloads tell me I have to update through the App Store but the App Store does not recognize that I have a valid, if outdated, version of Aperture on my computer and wants me to buy the software again. Is there a way to update Aperture (for free) and keep my library of photos?

Aperture :: PhotoSweeper Doesn't Support Library Version 3.5.1

Jun 2, 2014

On trying to load my iPhoto library into PhotoSweeper through the media browser, I am receiving this error message:

"140418_iPhoto Library_full" could not be read because its version is not supported. PhotoSweeper supports iPhoto 7.x (iLife '08), 8.x(iLife '09) and 9.x (iLife '11), but your library is of version 3.5.1.

I ran Photosweeper without any issue less than a week ago but have since found/loaded some more duplicates so wanted to run it again. How can I overcome this error?

Software :: Mail Unable To Retrieve Gmail Messages All Of A Sudden

Mar 21, 2010

I use Mail to access 4 different email accounts, two of which are Gmail accounts. About a week ago Mail stopped retrieving the messages of one of the accounts. It looks like it is trying to download them in that the little status wheel spins, but nothing happens on that account. I can send mail from it, however it is extremely slow to send. I installed Snow Leopard about two months ago and have had no other problems. Now all of a sudden Mail won't download any of my messages from this Gmail account. I haven't changed any settings, and I can access my mail at [URL] using the net interface and also on my iPhone and there are plenty of new messages there. I don't know what to do.

I tried to install Aperture, after I have done a complete uninstall, but the install process does not go any further than hitting the ok button after entering Name/Company/Serial. The rainbow colored circle remains on forever, so I have to force quit every time.

I wonder, if I deleted any important install files form OSX accidently?

What I did was uninstalling Aperture: I searched for 'Aperture' in the Finder window, and deleted all files which showed up!

Aperture :: Unable To Change Dates Properly

Aug 23, 2014

I would like to be able to sort them by the date I think they were taken, so I need to change the dates of the files to specific dates. I want to be able to do groups at a time. Like all photos taken on a birthday, and for pictures I do not know the date for, dated to the date the person in them died.

When I click on a group of photos Aperture changes the dates in a relative fashion rather than an absolute fashion. IE If I scanned the images that were taken on the same day but were scanned 2 months apart, the date that appears on one is correct, the other 2 months off. I would like to change the dates to specific day in time.
