Sleep seems to have stopped working all of a sudden on my recently upgraded iMac. The only thing I remember doing was repairing disk permissions and changing a few iChat preferences. The console shows the following;kernel Sleep failure code 0x00000000 0x11000000A reboot does not clear the condition.

Recently I upgraded Lion to 10.7.3. Since that time I have been having a lot of trouble with my internet connection. I keep losing the connect and have to go to diagnostics and turn it back on. Is anyone else having this problem?

I am working on a macbook that got recently got upgraded from 10.4.6 to 10.5.8, and I want to upgrade it using my 10.6.3 retail disk but can't. It just spits the disk out after 10-20 seconds. The 10.6.3 retail disk has no scratches or abnormalities. It can read other DVD's fine. I have also reset the PRAM.

I installed 10.5.7 yesterday. Immediately after the installation was complete, my Apple bluetooth keyboard stopped working. Went into Bluetooth system settings, and it said that there was no bluetooth hardware found... (it's built into the machine!!)...
Also, every time I start iTunes, it gives some weird error about Adobe Flash player. I'm not at home now so I don't have the exact wording of the error with me, sorry...
My (wonderful) MacBook Air has recently stopped downloading from Firefox. Safari is fine.

I have a aluminum iMac, which has been working fine until now. A couple of hours ago I restarted it and went and did something else for a couple of hours. I then came back to find my keyboard and mouse not working, I double checked and they were both plugged in fine (I use the aluminum apple keyboard and a kensington mouse). I restarted my computer but it still did not fix the problem (I was still stuck at the login screen). I thought it might be the USB, so I plugged my iPod in, and it did not charge. While my iPod was still connected to my computer I restarted it again and as soon as the screen turned grey my iPod started charging and my mouse worked (the light turned on), but only until the grey apple logo appeared and it then stopped working again. I have tried every USB slot and none of them work. I'm pretty sure my computer was completely updated as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my 24" 2.8GHz iMac from November 2007 flawless until today, 1 of 3 usb ports on the back simply decided to stop working. my keyboard, when plugged in, does not work, however, I usually use this one port with my iPod, when I plug my iPod in, it turns on, says its connected, then ejects automatically, though in the other ports...it works fine in the other ports.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy internal speakers work fine. When I plug in headphones, the left side has normal audio for about one second, then becomes barely audible. The right side is barely audible all the time. If I unplug them, and re-plug them, the same exact thing happens. Everything looks good in the sound properties page. I know the headphones work because I tried them in another device.
View 10 Replies View RelatedThe camera had been working fine with FaceTime, Photo Booth and Skype under 10.9.4 and then something happened. I run FaceTime and the camera screen comes up, but it's black with no sidebar. I had this happen once before when the serial number hadn't been put back after they replaced the motherboard. It's back in now and was working fine. I did have to install Google hangouts plug in, but FaceTime was working fine after that and I've since uninstalled it after FaceTime stopped working and it still doesn't work.
I did have AirParrot and SoundFlower installed which the camera worked with, but uninstalled them as I saw something about a possible problem. I've reset SMU and PRAM, nothing. he mac sees the camera as being there so it shouldn't be a camera problem, but the apps while seeing the camera aren't getting any input [and no it's not blocked. ]

Brought them out of storage on a very, very careful move and now some don't work which used to days ago.
- 320 GB lacie - works
- 1 TB elements works
- Samsung 2TB works
- 1TB firewire 400 WD was working, right up to tonight, and now it doesn't (not even on the USB connection instead of Fire Wire)
- 1TB WD (used for time machine) stopped working weeks agoGot a message about a device or such plugged into USB was drawing too much power earlier, first time ever
Turned the mac off, disconnected the power, held power button 5 secs and plugged in and restarted, no goodThe working ones seem to work on an unpowered hub but those not working of course don't Have searched the internet, nothing seems to be giving an answer of late for this.
Other issues starting to arise:
- DVD's won't eject from the iMac now
- Internet (Wireless lan connected to iinet DSL wireless router (BOB) drops out a lot and have to run network diagnostic all the time)These are less important, need to fix this HDD issue so I can back up with time machine and install snow leopard then develop my app)
My friend is telling me the dvd player stopped because the hard drive is to full. Its a nice imac4,1. It needs to be cleaned out and or restored but what software should we use? Or is there a way to do it for free.

After installing the iMac's Target Display Update 1.0 and 10.6.4, I'm no longer able to connect the MBP to my iMac. When I plug in my mini displayport cable, the iMac's screen goes black for a few seconds, then the MBP's screen flashes blue for a second or two, and then back to normal, and finally, the iMac's screen goes blue for 5 seconds or so, and then back to the desktop.

I just dropped in a 1 TB drive into my 17" MacBook Pro and it seems like that the Sudden Motion Sensor doesn't work not. I do not hear the sound when it engages as I did with the stock 500 gig drive that was in there. My understanding is that the Sudden Motion Sensor was not built into the drive and it was built into the notebook itself. Shouldn't I still be hearing the drive stop when the Sudden Motion Sensor engages?

during SW to my mini-mac wireless key board the keyboard stop responding. now i have left without an ability to work with my wireless keyboard. is there any why to reset the keyboard to default setting so it will come to live again..
After we upgraded from 10.6.8 server to 10.7.4 server the wiki is not working. Is there a way to move the files over from the old wiki pages to the new one? how would I go about doing this? Everything else seems fine. It also seems that the whole web services is running really slow.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have been connecting wirelessly to the same router for about 4 months now, using DHCP, and having the settings on the automatic connection. I left the computer on, but closed, so sleeping, for about two days. When i opened it, the battery did not yet run out but the internet has not connected since.
I have full connection in internet connect to my network. Status says connected. If I have the IPv4 using DHCP, the status says that i am connected but my computer have a self-assigned IP adress. When I put in the IP manually, the Network setting give me a green light on airport and says that I am connected to the network thru airport. Needless to say, no browsers (Firefox, Safari, Netscape, or Internet Explorer) have been able to connect to the internet.
I have tried running Disk Utility for any errors, but there have been no changes.

I have a mid 2007 24" iMac. It has been slowing down recently.I'm not clear as to the problem.Might it be due to the fact that it is running the latest operating system, 10.7.2, bloated, with only 4G of memory?
