Oct 30, 2009I just "upgraded" yesterday from a Power Mac G4 to a 17" MacPro. Among other adjustment problems, I can't open PDF files. The message I get is "You can't open the application Adobe Reader because it is not supported on this kind of Mac."
I've tried downloading the latest version of Adoobe Reader, an although it seems to download, I can't find it.
How do I deal with PDF files on a MacPro?

Apr 9, 2012I just purchased an iMac OS X version 10.7.3. My kids keep trying to play games but are prompted that they need to download Adobe Flash player. I follow the prompts for the latest version, but no luck. It says it's successfully installed. When I go to system preferences and click on the flash player, it says "plug in version 11.2.202.228 is installed" but when I click the "check now" box and it tells me to the Adobe websitem, under version information it says I have 9.0.124.0 installed? I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times to no avail.

May 8, 2007This is driving me crazy. I've just downloaded and reinstalled the latest Adobe Reader. But Safari is still acting up. I see the watch icon instead of my mouse when I click on a link to a PDF. Then I just see a white screen and I end up having to force quit Safari.

I tried going through the preferences in Reader, but it says that the setting is tied in with 'security administration' settings on Mac OS X.
I have not actually changed anything in the settings so am assuming that this is something to do with the most recent update to either Adobe Reader or OS X security.

Apr 19, 2012Recently, every time I open Adobe Reader, or click on a PDF document on file to open it, Reader starts opening all PDF documents on file continuously until I get a message saying there are too many open documents to open any more. Oct 23, 2010I have a mac OSX version 10.5.8 and i was trying to install the ilife 11 i just bought and was super excited about but when i tryed to download ilife 11 it said i needed to update my computer, so i went and downloaded the updates but my mac still says its the same version! and ilife wont install... I tried to go back and install the updates again but there not there it says I'm all updated! but 10.5.8 is not the latest version right ? What should I do?

Jan 10, 2010I've had an iMac for 8 months now, and I have recently bought a new router as my previous one died after 3 years of service and so I got a new one from BT (I'm in the UK). The new router works with 3 laptops, an iPhone, and two desktop PCs - but not with my iMac.
It intermittently picks up the signal and when it does finally connect, says the router is not connected to the internet - despite my laptop and iPhone being on the same desk and connecting.
