Mar 28, 2012I have a very large iTunes library, with content spread over multiple volumes. Recently, I would add, say, a movie to the iTunes library. I don't have iTunes set to copy content into the library, so it stays where it is. Now, the item looks like it got added. If, within iTunes, I'm in the "Movies" library, and I search for the movie I just added, it isn't there. I do a search for it, and it isn't there. However, all the AppleTVs connected to the library show that it is there, and I can play it.Â
So, clearly the item has made it into the library, otherwise it wouldn't be streamed to the connected AppleTVs, (and iPhones, and iPads). But, it still will not show up in the iTunes library list. No matter what I do. I can quit and relaunch iTunes, I can quit iTunes and open it back up with the "option" key to that I can specifcally choose that library, etc. But, it never shows up in the list. I just upgraded to iTunes 10.6.1, and still, no dice. It will not show up in the iTunes list, but I can still play it from shared iPhones, iPads, and AppleTVs.

Dec 5, 2014I was looking to access the file sharing functionality of one of my apps (AV Player HD) in iTunes 12 and wasn't able to find out where or how to do this in the new version.Â
After a bit of searching on the internet I gathered I needed to select my device (iPad in this case) from the devices drop down, then on the left hand sidebar under the menu heading 'On My Device' I should see "Apps" listed there along with Music and Movies etc. I have:
Music
MoviesTv Shows
Books
Audio
Tones
and then some music playlists..That's it. So my questions are:
1. where is 'Apps'?
2. how am I supposed to access file sharing on AV Player HD if I can't see this menu item?Â

Sep 13, 2005Anyway, back in my darker Winamp using days (I used Winamp a long time after getting an iPod because I was convinced iTunes was the devil), I had a little plugin called Pacemaker. It provided simple sliding controls to vary the pitch and speed of an mp3. For some reason I really like slowing down guitar solo's, just a quirk of mine. Anyway, I scoured Versiontracker and found nothing. My question is; Is there a plugin for iTunes that allows control over pitch and tempo?

Feb 19, 2012Why are tags now showing up as they were before I re-tagged them in Itunes when I open them in other players e.g. VLC ?I'm sure it wasn't like this before? Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a fix or an explanation as to why?I spend ages getting the tags just how I want them which is great for itunes but when I open them in other softare the old tags (how they were before I used itunes to re-tag them) show up instead of the new ones I wanted.

ITunes :: Imported CD Not Showing Up In It?
Apr 13, 2012I have tried importing this CD as Apple Loss-less, .mp3, etc and it doesn't ever show up in iTunes. I found the music with the finder but when I drag it to iTunes, no go. I right click and say open with iTunes, nope. I go through iTunes and use Add to Library, it still isn't showing up. No error message is displayed, it just simply doesn't add it to the library.

I've tried re-tagging some of the photo's in iPhoto but I still can't see some of the people in the list on the photo pane. I'm using iPhoto 9.1, iTunes 10.1 and have iOS 4.2 on both my iPhone & iPad. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to be able to get the missing faces back on my devices.

May 19, 2009Alright so I downloaded a season of Lost on iTunes and two of the episodes were mislabeled. Episode 13 should have been 16 and 16 should have been 13. So I swapped all of the info but the episode description did not change. It is correct in iTunes, but when I switch to Front Row the episode descriptions are incorrect. Is there a way to edit "info" in Front Row or make it recognize changes in iTunes? I was under the impression that it would do this automatically. Not sure what is wrong here.

Jun 2, 2012I have been using Airplay and an Airport Express to stream iTunes to my Harman Kardon speakers for the last 3 years. This morning I find that the volume sliders are missing for my Hi-fi AE in the 'select multiple speakers' window and I cannot select them.
The AE has a green light and shows up fine in Airport Utility. Repairing permissions and restarting has not helped. It was working fine last night when I shut my iMac down, and nothing has changed!

ITunes :: IPhone Showing As Over Capacity When It Isn't
Jun 9, 2012When syncing iPhone 4, the "capacity" bar in iTunes show's as over capacity, it gruntas and graons for 5 or more minutes, then suddenly drops down to normal (meaning it was NOT over capacity), then it syncs normally. How can I get this to stop. Everything is updated to current.

Dec 10, 2014I reset my MacBook Air yesterday and have plugged my iPhone 5 into the USB port. It did not show up in devices and I am unable to sync it. I have rebooted both devices several times and used two different USB leads and have seen no difference. How can I get my iPhone to show up in iTunes on my mac?Â
I am using version 10.8.5 of OS X on my MacBook but am not quite sure what I was using before the reset.
On my iPhone, I am using iOS 8.1.
