Mar 10, 2012I rented a movie in iTunes and using the movies tab of my iPad, I clicked "Move" to move the movie over to the iPad. WHen I sync the device, it goes through the motions and after finishing, it moves the movie back over the iTunes side of the display. Effectively, not transferring the rented movie.I tried this same thing on my iPhone and got the same result.I'm using the latest version of iTunes and the iOS 5.1 on both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4.

Mar 13, 2012I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

May 30, 2012I download apps DIRECTLY to my iPhone and iPad 2 I do not download via iTunes.
When I plug in my iPad or phone (device from now on) and sync it in iTunes, it transfers and backups MY purchases fine. However the left window pane does not show the INSTALLED apps.
Theres only a list of apps, none with check marks , even if they are present on the phone or iPad. If select sync apps, it tells me it will DELETE all the apps on my device.Â
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a way to make iTunes place a check mark or recognize what IS ALREADY on my device with out having to start from scratch and delete all my apps by forcing me To manually select what apps I want installed on my device (which are already on my device!) Â Am I missing a step someplace? Shouldn't my library on my device show up on the left side of ITunes pane with apps INSTALLED already checked?Â

Apr 18, 2012Is there any way to permanently keep my iphone and iPad apps OFF of my macbook pro? Every time I connect, I ensure that "sync apps" is not checked, but then iTunes says I will lose my purchases if I don't transfer them over. This does not seem to be the case, however- aren't all of your app purchases automatically registered on iCloud? So I click transfer purchases, but this of course then puts EVERY APP onto my iTunes, which takes up a whopping 36GB of space. I can't afford to have that much space taken up! Should I just ignore the iTunes warning, or is there another way to ensure that iTunes doesn't keep these seemingly useless and HUGE backups on my macbook?

I experience an issue with iTunes becoming unresponsive when either my iphone 5s (fully updated) and ipad 4th gen (fully updated) attempts to sync either wirelessly or with the cord. I have went through the apple trouble shooting and came up with no solution. I've also reinstalled iTunes with no luck. Tonight however I decided to try a new thing and insted of renting straight to the iPad I tried to rent it in iMac first (iTunes) and than move it to the iPad (thought the download could be quicker and was right: it took some 15min to download an HD movie with the iMac when it normaly takes some 45min with the iPad on the same network).Â
The problem is, when I try to move the movie into the iPad and click "Apply", I get the message saying that "This movie can not play on this iPad".... I tried to do it directkly on the iPad (and paid for the movie again...) and it downloaded just fine... (though it took 45 minutes).Â
