I rented a movie in iTunes and using the movies tab of my iPad, I clicked "Move" to move the movie over to the iPad. WHen I sync the device, it goes through the motions and after finishing, it moves the movie back over the iTunes side of the display. Effectively, not transferring the rented movie.I tried this same thing on my iPhone and got the same result.I'm using the latest version of iTunes and the iOS 5.1 on both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4.

Also, is it possible to share an iTunes library between my MBA and my PC so I can sync my iPad and iPhone without having to create a new library? The library file is currently on the NAS and just wanted to use the same one. Would it allow me to sync my iPhone with the PC and the iPad with the MBA using the same library on the NAS? I know this is more of an iTunes question, but figured I would post it here instead of starting another thread.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt least two of my albums in my library refuse to stay on playlists I build both on iPad, and my MBA and MBP notebooks.At first, I created the playlist on iPad from my Songs list but when I synced to my MBP, they disappeared off the playlist (but still appear in my songs/music library). I rebuilt the playlist on iPad and synced to my MBA and the same thing happened.Not to be daunted, I created the playlist on each of my notebooks and synced, and each time the same albums would disappear off the synced iPad playlists (but still appear in the Songs/Music library and on my MBA/MBP playlists).Any ideas why certain albums will not sync to a playlist? Both albums with this problem were purchased as CDs then imported into iTunes.

My IPhone has a large number of albums on it and not all of those albums are in my desktop iTunes Music Library. How do I move albums from the iPhone to iTunes or sync it so the music on the iPhone ends up in the iTunes Music Library? View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore, in iTunes I could drag several albums, one after the other, over to my iPhone for copying. iTunes would just add the subsequent albums to a growing queue behind the scenes, happily copying until everything was done. Now, for some reason, when I am in the midst of copying one album and drag a second over to copy, iTunes stops copying the first album and begins copying the second; it's as if the hidden queue has disappeared. So I'm left with a bunch of truncated, random songs off each album I've tried to copy.Â

I just bought two cd's; Tangled Soundtrack and Frozen soundtrack. And then i ripped them into iTunes in Alac format, as i always do.Â
In itunes the two albums are seperated, and shown as two albums as all my other music albums.Â
But on my iPhone, in the ipod app, it misxes the two albums in one, and just calls that one album Tangled.

I've been syncing my devices for years, but after I updated to iTunes 10.6 then attempted to sync my iPhone 4, iTunes aborts and does not complete the sync. I tried my iPad as well with exactly the same results. So, I expect that something has begun corrupted in iTunes and I tried to revert to the previous version of iTunes with Time machine, but the Mac reported that I cannot remove iTunes.It could be a library that is corrupt or a cache of some sort, but I can't tell.Â

I found some software but they have problem with file names not reading correctly all files from iPad as I have the same file name on different folders.Â
I download apps DIRECTLY to my iPhone and iPad 2 I do not download via iTunes.
When I plug in my iPad or phone (device from now on) and sync it in iTunes, it transfers and backups MY purchases fine. However the left window pane does not show the INSTALLED apps.
Theres only a list of apps, none with check marks , even if they are present on the phone or iPad. If select sync apps, it tells me it will DELETE all the apps on my device.Â
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a way to make iTunes place a check mark or recognize what IS ALREADY on my device with out having to start from scratch and delete all my apps by forcing me To manually select what apps I want installed on my device (which are already on my device!) Â Am I missing a step someplace? Shouldn't my library on my device show up on the left side of ITunes pane with apps INSTALLED already checked?Â
